Answer:	The elastic is very snug when new. I've never set my case on edge as shown in the picture, but I've picked it up while open and nothing shifts. I don't know if the elastic will wear over time. The only way to get the case to hold the number of pencils listed is to put four in each slot. That's way too tight for me, and I struggled to get the pencils out. I have three pencils in each slot. I could only comfortably put two markers in each slot.

Answer:	I am not familiar with the length of Tombow markers. However, if they are longer than a new colored pencil than I would say no. There is a little wiggle room for a pencil, but anything longer would be too close to the zipper.
