Answer:	I found an answer from Apr 4, 2015 - Chris C. wrote, "This is a comb binder only, you would need to purchase a specific binder for wire. One we carry and recommend is the Fellowes Quasar Wire." Another person said this binder is for plastic combs only.

I still use it to bind together materials that I make myself, but it did not solve the problem I originally purchased it for.

Answer:	You can add more pages but it's labor intensive. You have to remove the current binding, add the pages and rebind. You may be able to put the book and binding back on the machine, carefully put the new pages on top and close the binding up again. This also depends where in the book you want to add new pages since you will have to manually put on the backend wherever you are in the book.

Answer:	I use the plastic comb with this machine. I have never tried a double wire comb so I don't know if it will work. A spiral binding cone will not work.

Answer:	No - The largest you can bind is A4 which is about 12" wide.

Answer:	It is possible. I thought this was a good question so I went to "unbind" a booklet and then rebind it. You can place the booklet behind the tines (in a position where the rings open toward you) and then open and close the rings. After they close, remove the booklet. It is easy to pull the back binding comb off. Then you can fix the pages and rebind in the usual way. It may be possible just to pull the comb off the booklet, without the first step, but the comb came off the pages easily after they were flexed back and forth.

Answer:	You can punch the 11" side. The 17" will not enter machine. However if you fold 17 to 8.5 the you can punch as a folded piece. Set your edge control and punch using fold side for guide. When you open it you have a 17" punched sheet. Lots of luck and patience. ShellyA

Answer:	Google for 3:1 spiral binding - make SURE it's 3:1, that's what size this is. The largest I've found is 60mm / 2 inches, which says it will hold 440 pages. Only warning - spiral binding can take a little bit more time to install, but the flexibility in size and color and price makes it worth it for us.

Answer:	I don't think so. This is just the hole punch. I did buy two boxes of the spines (in two different sizes) and they both came with the appropriate opening/closing tool for the spines in the box. I'm not sure exactly what "editing" you want to do with this, but this is just the hole punch for binding papers. It's not for actually publishing them.

Answer:	With the manual Pro-click desktop binding I can punch thru a 11.5 photo paper laminated with a 3 mil hot lamination sheet but one at a time and pushing the machine towards the wall as support. Because it is thick material I have someone holding the laminated photo paper in place and I do a strong chick pass. If you don't hold well the sheet in place it will come off in one corner. for regular 24 lb inkjet paper I only put in 3 sheets at a time, tried 5 sheets and I had trouble. The Rayson TD-132 wire binding machine is made of durable metal construction, which is a traditional and perfect machine for punching or binding documents, reports or presentations.

It can punch up to 10 sheets (20lb/80g paper) at the time and binds up to 120 sheets with a 3:1 pitch double loop wire or spiral binding coil, which means there are three holes per inch of your book's spine. Max. binding ring size: 9/16" wire-o ring or non-limited spiral binding coil. The edge distance can be adjusted to 2.5mm, 3.5mm, and 4.5mm.

Reason of Punching Not Completely

Why some of the holes could not cut through？ Here is one of a solution~!

Set the dial to punching position while punching, ( The dial on the side of the machine, this is very important for punching all of the holes clearly through. )
When ready to bind, match your wire spine's diameter size to the appropriate measurement on the dial on the side of the machine.

Question:	Will this machine cut through laminatinated pages
Answer:	Yes, the Quasar will cut through laminated sheets. Please note that this will decrease the maximum amount of pages that can be punched at once. We ask that you be careful to not overload your machine :)
Question:	I would like to bind a standard page but on top so 8.5 inches. Is there a way to change the setting for this
Answer:	I was confused when I first read your request but it is simple. Just turn your cover pages and line them up on the narrow 8.5 side and do the same with your paper document. You should be able to turn it into a flip board document. No, there is not a specific setting. You could place a marker where you need your edge. Thanks for the option.
Question:	Will this machine handle bristle vellum paper
Answer:	This Binding machine is designed to bind paper that is 8 1/2" X 11". If the vellum paper that you use is this size, you should not have a problem, but please note that extra thickness will cause you to need to punch and bind less sheets than the stated capacity. Question:	Can this work manually in case electricity goes off
Answer:	The hole-punch feature will not work if the machine is not turned on (which means you need electricity to run that part). The binding part of the machine is manually operated so it does not require electricity, in fact it can be lifted out of the machine and one person can hole-punch and pass off the hole-punched pages to someone else to bind them if you so choose. However, if you have not already hole-punched the pages, you obviously can't bind them.
Question:	What is the lifetime for the machine
Answer:	I don't know if anyone would have this answer. It probably depends on how often it is used. We love this machine. So much better and easier than the former manual binding machine. We do not, however, use it on a daily basis.
Question:	What is the power rating for this machine? Can you please confirm if its 110v or 220v
Answer:	This machine is 110 volt so it can be plugged into a standard outlet.
Question:	I do not understand two qualities underlined here: What does "Usage" mean and what is "Reusable Dies
Answer:	Usage refers to how often the machine will be used to punch and bind books, etc. In this case it refers to what kind of wok load it should be able to stand. I think your other question should be releasable dies, not reusable. I think a better term would be interchangeable dies - that would let you change the size, number, and shape of holes you punch in the paper you put in the machine. (Dies refers to the metal "teeth" that punch the holes the plastic binding clips go through.

Question:	Do you have to use their binder covers? Or can you just use a thermal binding glue strip so you can use your own cover
Answer:	I tried both cases. All works well. I tried binding glue strip with own cover which I used own printed photo paper as cover. It looks good with pretty strong binding. I bought some covers. It looks like commercial binding. Overall I am happy with this binder. Even though binder glue is good, I always use staple to make extra binding power. It is not recommend by fellows, but I have used. None of page comes out from my bindings so far.
Question:	Can you use any cover you want (for example, heavy cardstock) or do you have to use their specific covers
Answer:	I have used lots of different covers: chipboard, cardstock, report covers, etc. Anything that will not melt at a lower temperature than the hot glue/adhesive.
Question:	I am looking to purchase a thermal binder for my school library--can this system be used to re-bind paperback books that have pages coming loose
Answer:	In theory, yes. The only thing that can be an obstacle is whether the heat from the machine will affect the book spine... e.g. warping, melting, and cracking. We use it to make custom books and the quality of the spine after heating really depends on the cover paper coatings.
Question:	Can you staple pages before thermal binding with the Helios 30/60? I worry about pages falling out
Answer:	Yes. It works very well. The glue is strong but some times couple of pages come out from the binding books. As long as you use staple with glue. It is perfect. They are not recomand to use staple, but it works better. I made many thick binding books with staple and glue. none of them failed.
