Answer:	When the padfolio is fully opened you can write on the pad. I don't think that it will fold behind so you can use it like a real clipboard. Writing on the pad is very easy though.

For 2018-2020 models that are slightly smaller in size. We recommend to have iPad come with an tablet case or keyboard. Then it will be harder for the iPad to move around.
