Answer:	Yes! The alarm hangs from the doorknob, but the "magic wand" is inserted between the door and door frame. It doesn't matter whether the door is opened from inside or outside of the door, once the "magic wand" loses connection, a very sharp alarm sounds. There is nothing subtle about the noise that is made! This alarm is great because it doesn't prevent first-aid responders from entering the room (as a door stop does).

Question:	can you use this above a window AC as an alarm and deterrant
Answer:	For the alarm to go off the metal wedge would need to be depressed. You would also need to make sure that it would be in a firm spot so the product wouldn't slide or move because then the alarm won't sound. Question:	Can you put these near windows as well
Answer:	I suppose you could affix it to a top window somehow, and when someone raised the window, the alarm would sound. Probably depends on how your windows are made. It would take some imagination and work.

Answer:	For the door to get over the plastic edge of the door stop and hit the metal plate to activate the alarm, the door needs a ~3/8" gap from the ground.This is an IMPORTANT detail folks need to know if your doors are snug to ground with carpeting in room, etc. Since the Q&A is easy to see vs slogging through reviews, I wanted to put this info up here.I was trying to enter a question so that I could then answer it with this info that folks really need to know. Answer:	It has different sensitive levels. If the cat got on top of it, it might trigger it.
Question:	Is there a way to position this so it will work in a sliding door track
Answer:	Not sure. I use mine beneath the doors. The door stop alarm needs leverage beneath the door which will provide the needed resistance to activate the alarm which a single panel door provides comfortably. If the sliding door provides that kind of leverage then yes. However I don't think they do. But if one can secure enough resistance for a forced entry then the door stop alarm should be placed in the most likely spot where the resistance can occur to set off the alarm. Sometimes you would need to create that resistance by using another device to assist.
Question:	How do you shut off with out tripping
Answer:	There is a switch on the back to turn the alarm off.
Question:	Does this work on ceramic tiled floors or does it slide
Answer:	We just received ours March 2018, and it works great on our linoleum floor, doesn't slide at all, and the floor is a very slick smooth surface, no texture on the floor at all. The door stop has a textured rubber pad on the bottom which does a lot to help it not slip. I tried it on our door several times and worked great everytime! Going to order one for my daughter who lives by herself, hopefully she'll use it!!

Answer:	Be sure to no hold or press the silver part of it, as this is where the alarm sensor is located. If by any reason it starts beeping, try turning it off again and if this doesn’t work, it’s possible that it might be defected. Turn it off and try removing the battery and insert it again while it’s still off and before turning it back on, be sure not to make any contact with the silver part. I hope this helps.
Question:	Does this work on Carpet
Answer:	I would think it works better on carpet because my floor has tile and when the doors opens the stopper alarm goes off and loud even when it's set to low volume. It the stopper is put under the door snug enough then there is no way you want hear the alarm when the door is open.

Answer:	I have them set in front of my entry doors to my house. They have different sensitivity settings. Light/Med/High. They work like a wedge. I have mine set on med and you barely touch it with a door and it goes off and they are LOUD! Very high pitch. If someone rams a door from the outside, ihey will probably break the door anyway so the wedge factor probably wouldn’t help much. However, the noise siren woukd startle and more the likely, scare anyone away. Hope this helps. I highly recommend. They use a single 9volt battery each. Bryan
Question:	Will it actually stop the door from opening or just alarm as the door is opening
Answer:	I do not think it can stop the door from opening, unless you drove it under the door like a wedge, which would cause it to alarm of course. The alarm it makes is very shrill and loud though. I think the idea is to frighten off the intruder. Or scare the bejeezus out of your kid sneaking in late. :)

Answer:	Yes - and as soon as it's removed the sound this little alarm emits is ear-piercing! The pin remains attached to the looped cord when pulled, so it doesn't get lost, and it's very easy to re-insert the pin to stop the noise. The key ring is securely attached, so that's how you'd want to hold the device.

Question:	Can a remote be programmed to work simultaneously on multiple machines
Answer:	Yes. I purchased 4 of these for use on all exterior doors. Each device/machine can be connected to 8 remotes (per instructions on box). I have 2 remotes (one upstairs and one downstairs) that control all 4 Alarms.
Question:	How far away can the remote be to activate or deactivate the alarm? I wonder if it will reach through floor frm downstair to room directly upstairs
Answer:	Shouldn't be a problem, I live in a Red-Brick house w/ SOLID METAL doors, and I can set it (on), Dis-arm (turn off), and sound-off (panic mode) from outside the house, almost a half of a block away. So you really should not have a problem at all. Hope that information helps ! :)

Answer:	It is unbearably LOUD!!!!!! It hurts my ears when the alarm goes off and the doorbell is way too loud for an apartment. Probably perfect for a house but stupid loud for an apartment 😄

Answer:	It has a decent range. I would guess you could disarm it from 50'+. I do not think a standard wooden or metal door would be an obstruction.

How to use your remote?

1. Arm Mode: When you press arm button, the alarm will sound "Bi Bi Bi". And 15 seconds later it will sound "Bi" to indicate that the alarm is in arm mode.
2. Disarm Mode: When you press disarm button once, the arm will sound a long "Bi..." to indicate that the alarm is in disarm mode.
3. Panic Mode: (for emergencies) When you press panic button, the alarm will alarm 30 seconds immediately. It is effective in any mode.
4. Doorbell Mode: When you change the alarm to disarm mode and press doorbell button, it will sound "dingdong" to indicate that the alarm is in doorbell mode.

How to pair more remotes with your alarm?

The alarm and remote in each package have been paired off at the factory. But our products have super pairing function. An alarm can be paired with 8 remotes , and a remote can be paired 50 alarms.

1. Change to disarm mode by a PAIRED remote.
2. Press and hold paired remote's doorbell button(Ignore the door Dingdong)about 10 senconds, the alarm sounds Bi ..." to remind that is in learn mode.
3. Release the doorbell button.
4. Press the new remote's arm button, the alarm will sound two "Bi.. Bi.." to remind the learn code operation successful.
