Answer:	3.5", about 1.25" higher than the standard plastic casters that many chairs come with.

Answer:	The wheel has a larger diameter than what standard office chair wheels, so they will roll just fine over carpet. What I do not know is how they will grab when the wheel arm rotates in its off-set. The wheel might grab and pull the carpet. They are marketed specifically for hard floors and that is why I bought them, so unless someone can answer that has specific experience with them I would stick to the standard office chair wheel.

Answer:	I do not know the answer, but I have 2 suggestions for you. First, see if you can contact the vendor or manufacturer. through Amazon. They should have the correct answer for you. If that is not an option try Lowe's or Home Depot and see if they have the socket hardware you will need. I bought these as replacement casters to an executive desk chair and the sockets were already there, so I just replaced the 5 casters and it work perfectly. By the way, these are great casters, made well and solid materials.

Answer:	The casters I purchased have a grip neck stem which seats in a socket made with an inside diameter equal to the outside diameter of the stem. You'll need a drill bit to make the hole in which the socket will be seated which is the size of the outside diameter of the socket.

Answer:	We use these in a office setting, different types of floors. They roll very well on everything. And they don't pick up hair lint and all the rest.

When I click on Atomdoc it just goes to an ad page for the product. I'm slightly concerned about this but the wheels do look well built, I hope they hold up.

Answer:	They are wider than a standard office chair caster. You could take the time to scrape the name off, but it's not a sticker or anything easily removable. I don't think you'd like them for dinette chairs IMHO.
Question:	How do these compare to single inline "Rollerblade Style" replacement wheels (which fail) on ceramic tile floors with deep grout lines
Answer:	I could not rate them any higher. I went through 4 sets of the roller blades style and they all failed miserably. The ATOMDOC casters have held up for months now and are as good as they were day one. I am a very big man and they hold up to me. I can't speak for deep grout lines, but on hard wood and short pile carpet they do incredible. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I am 220 lbs. My chair pivots so I made a 30 inch disk of 3/4 inch plywood. I had six smaller wheels so the chair wouldn't tip. They broke because when you lean forward you put a lot of weight on one wheel. These wheels are well made and pretty with the brass. I have had 6 of them under my recliner for 3 months with no sign of failure.

Answer:	Axle is closer to 13/32 - 7/16 inch wide and 7/8 inch long. I cannot recommend these. The thrust (swivel) bearings from two of the five have come out and left grease stains on my office carpet.

Answer:	Been a year, maybe 11/32, drill sample hole in scrap piece, see if insert presses in snug. Don’t oversized it. If you haven’t purchased yet recommend different brand, bearings fell out after 10 months of use.

Answer:	These are not made of rubber. They seem to be made of a harder, better material. These casters are very similar & look like old casters from furniture made a few decades ago. They are well made, can handle a lot but if you don't sand out the small line that runs thru the center of them, they will eventually start to leave marks on your flooring. I would suggest you either use a higher grit sandpaper (220 or higher) to sand down the line and\or use these casters on top of a protective layer: maybe carpet or chair mat?
