12 best business voips

Business VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is a technology that allows organizations to make voice calls and conduct other communication services over the internet instead of traditional telephone lines. It offers several advantages for businesses, including cost savings, scalability, and advanced features. Here are some key points about business VoIP:

  1. Cost Savings: One of the primary benefits of using VoIP for business is cost savings. Traditional phone lines can be expensive to set up and maintain, while VoIP often comes at a lower monthly cost. International calls, in particular, can be significantly cheaper with VoIP.

  2. Scalability: VoIP systems are highly scalable, making them suitable for businesses of all sizes. You can easily add or remove phone lines as your business grows or changes, without the need for major infrastructure changes.

  3. Advanced Features: Business VoIP systems typically offer a range of advanced features that can enhance communication and productivity. These may include call forwarding, voicemail-to-email transcription, video conferencing, and auto-attendant services.

  4. Flexibility: VoIP allows employees to make and receive calls from anywhere with an internet connection, providing greater flexibility for remote work and mobile employees. This is especially valuable in today's increasingly mobile and remote workforce.

  5. Integration: Many VoIP systems can integrate with other business applications and tools, such as customer relationship management (CRM) software, to streamline communication and improve customer service.

  6. Reliability: VoIP technology has improved significantly in terms of reliability and call quality over the years. However, it is essential to have a stable internet connection to ensure consistent call quality.

  7. Security: Security is a concern with VoIP, as it relies on the internet. Businesses need to implement security measures such as encryption and firewalls to protect their communications.

  8. VoIP Phones: Business VoIP often requires specific VoIP phones or devices. These phones are designed to work seamlessly with VoIP systems and come with features like high-definition voice quality and easy configuration.

  9. Service Providers: Numerous VoIP service providers cater to businesses, offering a range of plans and packages. Choosing the right provider depends on factors such as the size of your organization, budget, and required features.

  10. Quality of Service (QoS): Ensuring a high quality of service is essential for business VoIP. QoS settings prioritize VoIP traffic on your network to minimize disruptions and maintain call quality.

  11. VoIP Protocols: VoIP calls rely on various protocols like SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) and RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol) to establish and maintain connections. Understanding these protocols can be valuable for system administrators.

  12. VoIP Security Concerns: VoIP systems can be vulnerable to security threats like hacking and eavesdropping. Therefore, businesses must implement security measures to protect their VoIP communications.

In summary, business VoIP offers cost-effective, scalable, and feature-rich communication solutions for organizations. However, it's crucial to choose the right service provider, invest in the necessary hardware, and implement security measures to ensure a reliable and secure VoIP system for your business.

User questions & answers

Question: Does this phone work with Google Voice
Answer: The upcoming OBi1062 has built-in Bluetooth and 802.11n WiFi support. Via it's integral dual USB ports, the OBi1032 can accept an OBiBT Bluetooth adapter. The OBiBT can be placed in headset mode or mobile phone pairing mode. In your case, you's use the former.
Question: are these the 401 or
Answer: I was using the Bose SoundLink around-ear AE2 on my 1032. I just connected my new 1062 for you. I was able to connect the same device after about 5 minutes of tinkering. 1. Turned off the Bluetooth on my mobile, desktop and laptop (or anything in range) 2. Turned off all Bluetooth devices in range (especially the mobile phone) regardless of current or previous pairing. 3. Changed the default Bluetooth on the 1062 from a mobile device (picture of cell phone) to a headset by pressing that button ONCE (you won't know or see Bluetooth headset until pressing ONCE). 4. I put the headset in pairing mode. 5. I pressed scan on the 1062 and within about 10 seconds the headset appeared. 6. Pressed the button on the 1062 highlighting the found headset. It connected within seconds. I tested it over several calls already and is working fine. We have 6 1032's and 1062's at this location and several at remote locations. Most are using BT headsets and all are far less costly than the Bose. They range from traditional business to personal versions. I have seen LG Tone, Plantronics (earbud and over-the-head) and others. We may just be lucky, but if anybody here had issues I would have heard about it. First time ever responding and apologize for all the detail. BT can be frustrating sometimes and I felt the pain. It took far longer to write this than it did to connect the headset.
Question: Is there a usb port or 3.5mm jack for a headset
Answer: The OBi1032 supports a PSTN line using the add-on USB accessory called: OBiLINE. https://www.amazon.com/OBiLINE-Adapter-Devices-OBi1062-OBi1032/dp/B00DP4YOJ6
Question: Does this phone work with RingCentral
Answer: This is a stand-alone VoIP phone. It connects to power and the Internet via an Ethernet cable (or you can use OBiWiFi to connect wirelessly to your WiFi router). You can use the OBiTALK web portal to set up services with which you can make and receive calls.

User questions & answers

Question: Will this work with a combination of ooma (for home use) and ringcentral/skype (for home office
Answer: Hello, you can set these up for Google Voice, thru a proxy service from a third party service it works great, and its one time fee of $5.99 and the have another line for a VOIP service like VOIP.ms it also a great service and one of the best price wise and service and quality..any other questions let me know.. Frank
Question: Can this phone handle a second line without purchasing additional hardware
Answer: No additional hardware is required to connect a second line via a SIP Trunk provider. You simply need to enter the credentials and connection information for your second SIP Trunk.
Question: I ordered 6 of these phones. None came with a power supply. Why are power supplies missing
Answer: Since the SPA 303 sets are not Power Over Ethernet (802.3af) compliant they should include a 5vDC power supply. I would recommend contacting the seller that you purchased these from and requesting the power supplies.
Question: Are these phones unlocked and will they work with Ring Central? Any thing else additional I need to buy with these phones? Thanks
Answer: I don't know if Ring Central will work but regarding what else is needed...power cord, enternet cord, and a headset if you wwant hands free. The least expensive headset I found that works (and I run a call center) is one we got from Staples: GE Model 98974 at a cost of around 20.00. You plug it in on the right side. Also, you should plug your ethernet to your computer into the bottom of the phone where it says PC and the SW is for your Provider's wall connection.

User questions & answers

Question: Does this phone have a stand? I see one reviewer commented: "device will not set flat on table top
Answer: The stand does not make it sit flat. I'm having that issue right now where the plugs push up the front of the phone. Very poorly designed.
Question: How many people can I call and merge together for a conference call with this phone
Answer: You can have up to 3 conference calls with this phone. If you are using it with IP pbx like a Grandstream ucm6202 you can have up to 25 user on a conference bridge.
Question: What is the warranty on this product
Answer: All Grandstream products come with a 1 year manufacturer warranty.
Question: Does this item include a power cable for networks that don't support PoE
Answer: Yes - the 1625 comes with a small wall wart that has a good amount of cable to connect it to the phone from a wall outlet or power strip under a normal desk. I bought the 1625 and a 1628 specifically because of the come with power adapters. My LAN is configured in a manner that made PoE impractical. Wish I could have powered the phones It would have required multiple PoE switches or power supplies and wasn't worth the cost.

User questions & answers

Question: Dose it come with a power cord
Answer: I'm pretty certain that the VVX450 doesn't have Bluetooth. That is on the higher model VVX series. According to online documentation Bluetooth settings should be located here (if the phone supports it): Settings > Basic > Bluetooth Settings. I do not see that menu on my VVX450...unless it is a limit of my current firmware. The only other thing I can think to try is since the phone has USB ports would be to try a Bluetooth USB adapter and see if the phone picks up on it. I don't currently have one floating around to try.
Question: does it have caller id
Answer: Standard Ethernet cord, would go with Cat5 or higher. Also, this item comes with one. As far as length required, that depends on your environment.
Question: Is there anyway to hookup a cordless phone to this
Answer: Yes, this phone supports Microsoft Teams.
Question: does it work with asterisk pbx
Answer: The phone requires registration with a SIP provider.

Product description

USA Based customer service and support @ 423-567-4888. Save thousands and increase your office's productivity with the Ring-u Hello Hub. Designed especially for small offices and businesses, the Hello Hub is easier to set up than most wireless routers. A Virtual Receptionist can professionally answer calls and route them to the person or department needed. Other features include an open/closed/holiday receptionist, as well as ring groups, and voicemail to email. While some systems require multiple "base stations" for more than five lines or extensions, just one Hello Hub unit offers up to 20 lines (calls) and 50 extensions. The Hello Hub offers plug-n-play auto configuration for Atcom A68W/A48W/A20W and Grandstream GXP 1620/1625/1630/2130/2135/2160/2170 + DP720/750 and WP820 phones. Fully operational in minutes, all Atcom phones are also Wifi enabled for ethernet-cable-free connection. Mobile phone integration is simple. Simply use cell phones as extensions with or without iOS and Android apps. Texting directly from your system (web interface) using your primary business number is quick and easy. For even more utility, set up offsite land line phones as remote extensions. The integrated no contract VoIP service starts at $59.95 for 2 lines/calls and $24.95 per additional lines/calls. The service is charged by the line, not by the seat or the extension, which allows for customizable savings, with no contract. Founded on honesty and customer satisfaction, Ring-u offers industry-leading customer support and a 90-day 100% money back satisfaction guarantee.

User questions & answers

Question: Can you dial out with the phone connected to the hub
Answer: To my knowledge the dip switches (1-6) do not effect sound quality. They are for connectivity and range quality, distance and battery life.
Question: Do the phones support gigabit internet for passthrough to the PC
Answer: Good day, and thank you for your question. Yes, calls can be muted from the headset. Hopefully this helps, and have a good afternoon.
Question: Does this allow two employees to use the same landline number to make their own separate calls at the same time
Answer: This headset doesn't connect with a cell phone. This model connects with a mobile phone only but the model at the link below does. 1-800-683-5715 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NPXJWXC?ref=myi_title_dp

User questions & answers

Question: is there a monthly fee to Oma to use
Answer: Yes. Although the Hub and the phones are connected to your network. This is a VOIP/SIP system, not an old style POTS system where the phones are connected directly to the PBX.
Question: Will this work with google voice
Answer: Yes many of the phones do. Most Grandstream models that are on our Plug-n-play list feature Gigabit passthrough. Our Atcom phones used in our bundles are also both ethernet and wifi capable, but the lower end A20W phone only passes through at 10/100, not Gigabit. The two Grandstream models most of our customers use are the GXP2170 and the GXP2135. I hope this helps, you are also welcome to visit our website for a LOT more information or give us a call during the week to discuss your needs. Our number is listed in the Amazon bullets. they won't let me post URL's (websites) or numbers in this reply.
Question: Can this be used in combination with the ooma telo free home unit? we are having issues with an analog phone working with the unit
Answer: The number of callers that can be active at one time depends on how many phone lines you purchase from ring-u. The basic plan starts at $59.95 a month for TWO business phone lines, which would allow 2 simultaneous calls. Additional lines can be added for $24.95 per month each. Each "line" equals a call or conversation. If you need 4 people to be able to be on the phone at one time, you need at least 4 lines. Phone numbers have nothing to do with the number of calls. 1 number can process as many calls as needed. We have customers with one phone number that handle a dozen or more calls at a time over that number. Do not confuse "numbers" with "lines". I hope this helps.
Question: Ooma states you can use an analog phone with their base system and and IP phone w/0 - but this states it needs the base? what is the truth
Answer: No I am sorry.
