Answer:	Nope. It will not. A crease on a paper will already cause a jam on the equipment.
Question:	Do you have to send your files to a cloud service or can they be loaded directly to your computer
Answer:	I scan the docs, it goes to a local folder as a temporary and then rename/re-file them elsewhere. No cloud needed.
Question:	To use it as a thermometer or temperature scanner on the kids, do we still need the USB connection to PC or connect USB cable to kids
Answer:	Girls, left nostril. Boys, right nostril. Make sure you are plugging it into THEIR left and right, not facing them. It's not like a car battery, though. If you plug it into the wrong nostril, it's not going to do any damage to their system. It simply won't scan. Either way, you stand a 50/50 chance of getting it right the first time. This only matters if the kid is under 2 years of age. After that, either can be used--kind of like an electrical outlet allows you to use the top or bottom to plug in. Good luck!

Question:	Can it scan into an sd card or usb jump drive
Answer:	I would suggest going with the TT-15mini collar, these are made for smaller dogs and would work better for your Jack Russell. If you are not worried about the shocking option I would suggest that you go with the 320 astro with the TT-5mini collar or if you just need the shocking and not the tracking, then the Pro 70 unit will work better.
Question:	My question is very specific. does it work with the latest mac os - 10.14.4. i know10.14 works, but what about the ".4" version
Answer:	Yes but you have to manually shock them. The shock is not automatic when they leave the geofence or radius. I rarely have to use the shock as my dog usually responds to the tone/vibration immediately.

Answer:	My family would answer a resounding "Yes!". We bought a Garmin Alpha 100 for each of our two dogs when making a cross country trip with them. Late in our journey, our 75 lb male Australian labradoodle took off after a herd of deer through unfamiliar territory on the border of National parkland at dusk. We used this collar to find him. It took us almost 2 hours of tracking, but we did find him wandering and clearly lost. The collar for us was worth every penny.

Question:	Has anyone used this scanner for more than two years (moderate use)? I'm replacing a Neat Scanner that began to fail after about a year
Answer:	This is more of a business grade scanner than the Neat from top to bottom. I have a true paperless setup, I scan 99% of all of my documents (bills, receipts, instruction manuals, etc) the first time I handle them then shred the originals. The only thing I don't shred are legal documens but I still scan them. I have a routine that every month I make an offsite backup copy and every year I make an additional archive copy. I've scanned thousands of documents (more than moderate use) and the scanner has performed flawlessly. BTW this is my third scanner of this style, my first Epson.

Question:	Can this scanner be wirelessly "registered" with more than one computer
Answer:	I think many people are confused by the fact that Amazon bundles the 510/560 units on the same product page, to include all feedback as the same product. As far as the DS-560 (The wireless version), you can connect the scanner to a single wireless network via your router. Once your scanner is connected to your wireless router, any wired or wireless devices on the same network (PC, Phones, ect) that have the proper Epson software on them can initiate a scan.Long story short, you can have 4-5 computers (Phones, ect) for example with the Epson software that can independently use the scanner. Obviously you have to wait for one computer to finish scanning before you can scan with a different computer.The confusion about the "Optional Network" is for the DS-510 (USB only unit). That optional unit can allow you to plug a DS510 into a special unit called a "Epson WorkForce DS-510 Document Scanner Network Interface Unit". This allows you to plug a DS-510 into a WIRED network (for businesses) and adds a bunch of functionality like a PER computer saved settings. It's meant for people in an office to be able to go to a centralized DS-510 scanner and scan to predefined folders the same way you would from a professional copier/scan unit. That unit supports up to 100 user/computer configurations. As a home user it would not be worth using as it cost about $300, so as much as the scanner. The only real benefit of that optional unit is that you don't have to go to your computer to initiate a scan, again for offices.I hope this clears up things for everyone asking this question.

Answer:	The simple answer is no, however the question makes no sense. The idea of a scanner is to make a digital image of a document. By taking a photo of a receipt you have already done that. Send the photo to your computer and save the document. You don't need a scanner to do that.
Question:	Does this scan color and black and white pictures as well as documents. The documents are important but the ability to scan quality pictures is also
Answer:	Color is okay. Not as true to color as a photo scanner. But if you have lots and lots of pictures it is great because it is so fast. I accept less than the best because I more than 1000 pictures I want to preserve. I trade speed for perfect color. If the scan is over saturated it is easily fixed with a picture program.Black and white can scan beautifully or they can look like a negative if u set the scanner to automatic. I solved this by setting this scanner on greyscale just for black and white. Worked great.

Question:	Will this work with macos big sur
Answer:	As of 1/25/21 the driver does not work properly with Big Sur 11.2 running on a 2020 M1 mac mini (it scans 1 document after a computer restart, then refuses to scan again unless computer is restarted!) Spoke with Canon cs who suggested that they are continuing to work on updates, but no target availability date yet. TWAIN driver also does not work with Apple's "image capture" software included with the M1 mini, and Canon doesn't have plans to update it. Sadly, the scanner hardware seems of very good quality and is very fast when the software works. Answer:	Yes it does support up to legal size. I just got mine in yesterday and put it through the paces. I’m a mobile notary so scanning mixed paper sizes in the same scan is a must. It scanned letter and legal with no problems and quickly. It even says it can scan 11x14 in the brochure.

Answer:	Feeder works well, hasn't eaten any photos yet. The output tray is balky but adequate. Software can do color correction, either for each photo or as a preset.

Answer:	It should work with any POS system. The question is what kind of bar code you want to read. For example, I use this scanner to scan serial numbers on computer with a regular bar code and computer parts with special 2D bar code (a tiny code). This scanner can read all popular bar codes. So, I think it is a safe buy. FYI, Apple recommends this scanner for their service.
Question:	Can it save pdf files to a smart phone
Answer:	You need to press the button but that's a feature because in a typical scanning environment there are lots of things with bar codes around and you don't want the unit to pick up false signals.

Answer:	You can, yes. The software (Silverlight) lets you do batch scanning where you set the multiple scan areas and then hit batch and it scans them in order. You must set the scan area for the tray as well (Not automatic), but it works without the trays as well.
Question:	How do you scan long documents
Answer:	I agree with B. Menke on this. While I do not have a Plustek, I do use a primefilm xas (and before a primefilm xa) for 35mm film scanning, A dedicated 35mm film scanner of decent quality will give better scans than a flatbed can. However, the Epson V850 is more versatile and I use it for medium and large format film. The Epson is the way to go if you don't exclusively shoot 35mm film and cannot afford to get two scanners.
Question:	I have been using the ix500 for years and love it. Can you tell me the differences and between the ix500 and the ix1600, and why I should upgrade
Answer:	I would Google/YouTube "Wet Scanning" to get more details. But, to answer your question, yes the film will get wet. You put special fluid in the tray and then put your negative in it. At a basic level, wet scanning will help at filling in scratches, reduce/eliminate light scattering and refraction, hold the image flat to the glass, and a variety of other benefits that can help improve the image quality for scanning. It adds quite a few steps (and time) to your workflow process. Unless you were working on a special project (books, etc.), going to make large prints, I wouldn't wet scan.
Question:	What’s difference between iX1500 and iX
Answer:	Improved film holders. Also get a 2nd set to assist faster loading if working on larger projects. Upgraded software. Easier to use and faster scans, in my opinion, though may just be I am loading new set as soon as scan is completing. 600 is still a good machine but newer is usually improved and better. Hardware is not much different. Both out of same factory in Indonesia
