| Answer: | Yes, I have been using it since early 2010 timing various kinds of things related to freediving. It is a very high quality stopwatch. While the instructions recommend not using the buttons in the water, I have done it the whole time with no ill effects. The battery lasted about 4 years. I replaced it myself. I have absolutely no complaints about the stopwatch. |

| Answer: | I kept mine running for years after the first battery died. I carefully opened it up, especially taking care to protect any o-ring seals. Once you open it up, you can easily remove the battery. I took mine to a watch repair area of my local mall in Phuket, Thailand. They had the batteries in stock. I installed the new battery and put it all back together. I suspect this method is not recommended by Seiko. Probably the best solution would be to find a good dive watch repair or battery replacement place. They would be more used to dealing with seals and o-rings. They could easily sort out the battery needed. If all else fails, you might be able to get Seiko to do it. I didn't try that, but it might be an option. The other option would be to buy a new stopwatch. I loved mine. |
