Answer:	The ink cartridges have been damaging the printers that use 902. If you buy online buyer beware. I bought supposedly the combo pack with all the colors and when it came to cyan, the printer said it wasn’t hp ink and would not allow me to print at that point. I had to put my used cartridge back into the printer. Hoping HP fixes it soon. I called HP they do not know when the issue will be fixed. I am just using a grey scale now only black until this issue is fixed and blotting the cyan cartridge once in a while to keep it from drying out.

Answer:	The HP cartridges have Been pulled from store shelves as the cyan and yellow have been ruining the printers that use 902 hp ink. HP is working diligently to fix the problem.

Now you need to buy their ink to run the printer, and they can charge you as much as they want for it. Heck, they can even make you subscribe to a service that delivers their ink to your door as soon as your cartridge is about to be over! You gotta love big corporations!

Answer:	You need to ask the seller. But I would guess you could make them return it is it was past the date. I buy sealed ink that is past the date for a discount all the time, have used ink several years old as long as it was sealed it worked fine. Ink using now has been in my printer for a year almost and was about 4 years past its date when I put it in. I would buy 2006 or so expired brand name HP ink over ANY brand refills though! But this listing should be new ink. If it was a couple months past or about to hits its date, I wouldn't worry about it though it will be fine, if not it would be a fluke as all products have defects. At this price I would expect it to be in date though. But the 56/57 Ink I use is starting to cost more for past date ink (sucks for me) I have got 2 color 57's as low as $10 for both and a color 57 with black 56 for around the same. Not that easy now.

Answer:	No! I cannot get mine to print in black and white when any color cartridge is empty. It does NOT automatically print in black only and even when I change the settings, it refuses to print. Once I replaced the color cartridges, it happily printed in black and white again. I've never had a printer do this.
