Answer:	This printer has an extra tray in the rear of the printer for card stock, labels & other types of print material. This tray feeds the material through straight into the printer. Check manufacturer specs for weight of card stock allowed.

Answer:	True, "grey scale" will only print black in draft quality. I use it all the time. Therefore, it does save ink... both black and color. However, the color cartridge will deplete over time due system cleaning. Furthermore, the printer will not function without a full or partially full color cartridge.

Answer:	Yes, I upgraded to win 10 with no problems. Printer driver loaded right up.
Question:	Does anyone know the heaviest weight cardstock/paper that can be used on this printer? Is 130 pound paper okay
Answer:	Most regular typing paper is 90 lb, paper. I believe 120 is cover stock for front page of reports. 130 is poster quality cover stock. It all depends on how much the paper needs to bend to go through the printer. No bend no problem. Large bend is easier on paper than a smaller bend. run a sheet thru with no printing. If it comes thru with no problems, try printing what you want. Smaller desktop printers usually have smaller wheels hence a smaller turning circle. Lik I said, just try it. If you know how to get paper unstuck, try different rates. Ask your computer. Put your printer name and model no. Then ask,,, what weight of paper does this take? ,,, you should end up with your answer somewhere.
Question:	I keep getting blue lines all over my prints. I opened the lid took out all cartages and everything looks clean, even the foam pad. Any ideas, Help
Answer:	Open up the system menu and run the head cleaning utility. If that doesn't fix the problem replace your blue or tricolor ink cartridge.

Answer:	If your document is black and white or you are printing in gray scale it will print without color. However, if you are trying to print a document that has color on it the printer will not automatically print it in black and white. You must be able to choose Black and White, some devices may not have this in the print options.
Question:	Does it do automatic double-sided scanning
Answer:	I no longer have this printer. While I had it I never checked to see if it could print from a cell. I now have an HP OfficeJet 3830 printer and I can and do print from my iPhone

Answer:	I have a Dell and it prints great
Question:	Can I get the perspective of a photographer on this question: How well are colors reproduced compared to the original? Does the software auto touchup
Answer:	I'm sure its okay... It's Epson been a graphic designer for 10+ years. Epson is always my go to brand for proof printers. But the cartriges are RGB (I think) and black so color range is limited vs the 8+ color models and wouldn't print very many full color prints. I'm not around the printer now but cartridges were foam filled instead of liquid ink, and about 2.5x2x1. Nothing but a gut feeling one or two saturated 8x10's you'll be out of at least one color or more.

Answer:	Load paper.(1) Open the paper support, and pull it out.(2) Open the front cover gently. Important If the disc tray guide (A) is open, close it. (3) Pull out the paper output tray. (4) Slide the paper guides (B) to open them, and load the paper in the center of the rear tray WITH THE PRINT SIDE FACING YOU.(5) Slide the paper guides (B) to align them with both sides of the paper stack.Do not slide the paper guides too hard. The paper may not be fed properly. Important Always load paper in the portrait orientation (C). Loading paper in the landscape orientation (D) can cause paper jams.NOTE: This printer is a quality printer for excellent copies. If you are looking for a production type printer where you can do many copies, it would be best that you go to a copy store and have them do it. If you are seeking a few select prints then this would be for you. I believe that about 25 copies is all that can be loaded at a time.

Question:	Does the PIXMA i8720 handle card stock well? I run a very small greetings card business, and my current printer murders card stock
Answer:	The heaviest we've printed is 140 lb paper by Strathmore. We also print greeting and post cards; aside of drymounting photo paper to card stock (whose photo quality absolutely can't be beat), the best paper we've found for iP8720 direct printing is Canson Stamping Cards (beats Strathmore's inket offerings hands-down; we found it on Dick Blick's site). I don't know if Canson publishes this specific product's weight, but it's probably around ~110 lbs.

Answer:	The previous answer ("Copies, but doesn't scan") is WRONG. I've checked the printer and the users manual, and the iP8720 does NOT have scan capability. It is a printer only--not a fax, not a scanner, not a copier. If you need to scan and copy, then you need a different machine. The main value of the iP8720 is for large-format (up to about 13" by 19") printing. If you don't need that capability, then you'd be much better off with a standard-format all-in-one.

Answer:	Printers do not come with phone lines. You have to sign up for them with your local phone company, or with Spectrum if they are in your area. Since a phone line often costs more than $10 per month I suggest you try myfax.com, a service which will allow you to send and receive unlimited faxes through your email. It cost $10 per month and is very reliable. A less reliable firm is eFax but I discontinued them years ago and went to myfax.
