Question:	Will it do 127 film
Answer:	No, but I put my phone camera up to the screen without flash and took a picture of the image. It was clear and bright enough to send to email address and save to my computer. You have to brace yourself and be steady when shooting the image and it worked great.

Answer:	This is only a viewer.
Question:	Cannot get mode to work
Answer:	I really don’t think so. Not 100% sure. Would sure be cumbersome
Question:	Why do I get an exclamation point (!) when I try to capture a slide
Answer:	You can download your slides on a SD card and then view and save on your computer. If there was another way to view on the computer we did not find it! However, if you are serious about saving slides to your computer or have a great many of them, I would recommend a more advanced slide viewer with better options. This device works but is laborious to some extent especially if your your slides are old or worn.

Loading Slides/Negatives

1. Open the positive slide/negative film holder, with the slide/negative holder laid open place the slide into a recessed area in the holder- the slide should fit perfectly.
2. Close the slide/negative holder and press the edges so that it locks in place.
3. Hold it in the position in the film & photo scanner. Insert the slide holder into the slot on the right side of the film & photo scanner.

Note:

• Handle slides with care. Any dust scratches or fingerprints will show up on your saved images. You'd better to cotton gloves when handling slides.
• The 4 frames positive film holder can scanning exceeds 6 sheets, the two sides are open, which can pass through the whole roll film. Please drag the negative film by hand, and then scan one by one.

Loading photo

1. Position the bracket according to the marked dimensions on the photo tray.
2. Note the for 5x7" photographs, the bracket do not need to be fitted into the photo tray.
3. Place the brackets into the slots and slide the brackets downwards to secure, check that they are securely fastened by turning the photo tray upside down. The brackets should not fall off.
4. Insert the photo into appropriately sized photo tray (5” x 7” (5R), 4” x 6” (4R) and 3½" x 5” (3R), name card)
5. Insert the photo tray slot from the top of the film & photo scanner. It has an automatic image processing adjustment function after scan. You can change resolution to 8MP/16MP, adjust EV value, flip/mirror image or change its color effect.

Note:

• Please use the provided OCR CD to organize the name cards. The CD software is not required for scanning photos and negatives.
• Handle photo with care. Any dust scratches or fingerprints will show up on your saved images.
• Scanned name cards will capture a standard dimension of 91x55mm. The scanned image will have a slight border around the name card.

Answer:	Not sure. I went through the manual and found no reference to 127. I only used it for 35mm slide format which also included 126 film cut into a 35mm slide. I will try to convert some photos when I can get some. Could not have been more pleased with ease of operation or results.

Answer:	This might indicate a need to format your sd card. This can be done easily in a digital camera that accepts one. You need to find that function in the camera's menu. It can also be done in a computer. Google the procedure for your particular operating system.

Answer:	There is no way to fix it. I had to call Kodak and they went through the normal troubleshooting list. They said that it is a hardware issue and because my printer is out of warranty, they offered me a deal on two other Kodak printers: ESP 2170 for $79.99 or the ESP 2150 for $69.99 plus shipping and handling (which I didn't ask the cost of). I liked the inexpensive ink of my Kodak but am currently looking at Canon MAXIFY MB2020 and MAXIFY MB2320 printers with similarly low priced ink.

Answer:	You have to select the correct film type you are scanning, but yes it will convert the colors to make a color photo. The choices of film type are 135, 126 or 110.

Answer:	It comes with a usb cable. Mine downloads or uploads to my computer and the photo editor.

Question:	will it work with polaroid photos
Answer:	I have used it on Polaroid photos. Note that such photos tend to fade over time. So you will be freezing them at their current state of deterioration.
Question:	does this scan "old" black and white negatives and allow for printing from an SD card
Answer:	I have never used it on negatives. The instructions say it works on 35 mm, 110, and 126 negatives.

Question:	Will it scan half-frame 35 mm slides
Answer:	If the half-frame slides are mounted in standard 2"×2" mounts you can easily load them in the slide carrier. You can crop the image in the scanning software or subsequently in other image editing software.
Question:	How many mp (megapixels) is the max. capability of this scanner? maybe i don't understand the math, but 10k x 10k seems like 100mp... is that correct
Answer:	Your math is basically correct. A full frame 35mm negative at 10K resolution is about 9000 by 13000 pixels, which, as you noted is 117 Mpixels (and just over a GB if you save the IR layer along with all the colors). I also believe (but can't locate the source) that the actual scan limits are 5K along the CCD and 10K for the stepper, implying that interpolated values are used for every other horizontal pixel.
Question:	Will this work with Windows 10 an its latest builds
Answer:	I am using it on Windows 10 build 1809 and it works very well.
Question:	I don't understand why this pacific scanner has much higher rating/reviews than the more expensive/more capable pacific xas scanner? & the plustek's
Answer:	Probably it's because the XAs has an automatic film advance mechanism that reviewers say is unreliable and breaks. This model is essentially the same without the auto film advance.

Answer:	Yes, this scanner can scan negatives besides 35mm. It comes with a holder to neatly hold 35mm film, and it also comes with a holder to neatly hold 120 film (120 film is a medium format film, most common I'd say around the 1940s - 1960s, it's usually 6 cm wide, but the length of each individual shot can vary). It is *possible*, but not very easy, to scan other formats of film on here (such as 126 film or 110 film). The reason it's not very easy is because the scanner does not come with a designated holder to hold negatives of those sizes, so you basically just have to lay the negative on the glass, and try to get the edges of the negative to not curl up too much, and pray that you're laying it down exactly straight so that it doesn't scan at an angle (the film holders are designed so that the film is lined up exactly straight).

Answer:	I disagree. You need to have .8-1.0" between each photo and 4-4x6 photos won't fit on the glass with those spaces. You can do 4 manually by selecting the scan area in "normal" mode, but that adds time. It's far easier to do 2 at a time and use "thumbnail" mode to automatically select the scan areas for each photo. It only takes 45-50 seconds to scan 2 at 600 dpi.

Answer:	I use this fine product in my job. The answer to your question is in the software. Open the program. Go to the upper left, hit "scan", go to "multi-scan". In the lower part of the box, type in the "range". For Example 1-50 for the entire tray.

Question:	What is the tv jack for? the manual said it is a phone jack, but none of tv has a phone plug
Answer:	While it's true that camera "film" can't be exposed to light, DEVELOPED film becomes a "negative", which CAN be exposed to light. So far, I've converted about 200 35 mm slides to digital photos without any problems. I haven't tried using negatives yet, but I'm sure the result will be the same. It's a fantastic little machine.
Question:	Can this scan 120 film
Answer:	With a Mac, you have to save images to an SD card or the device's built-in memory (only 128 MB). Then you choose USB Upload and you can transfer the images to your computer.
Question:	Are the Reels for 8mm film scanning included or are they an extra cost? None are shown in the advertisement
Answer:	I'm not sure about that as I have only produced a digital image from a negative.
Question:	Does this connect to the computer to save the photos onto hard drive or do you need the SD card
Answer:	Not being an expert on the computer, I am not sure what "ntsc" means, but I do NOT use an sd card with my Kodak Scanner. I have the scanner plugged directly into my laptop, and the digital images go straight to the E drive, from where I easily put them into folders under My Pictures. So far I have done about 1,100 slides, and I am so very happy with the quality of the digital images. I also have had fun editing for brightness and color. Many of my digital images are better than the original slides! I am extremely happy with this product.

Answer:	The technology and the electronics required to melt the ridiculously small dots of color onto the special paper is much more expensive than spraying paint, etc. The results are stupendous. I have prints that are 10 years old stuck to my refrigerator that are as good as new.
