Answer: Thank you for asking this question! If you've just poured the cup of coffee, it will continuously stay warm. If you have a coffee that is ice cold, depending on the size of the cup, ambient temperature, and the type of cup, it can take up to 5 minutes. In our tests in a 70F room, with cool tap water in an ikea glass cup, the water temperature went from 60F to 120F in roughly 3 minutes. This was probably 8 ounces of water or about half a regular water bottle. To sum everything up, IT DEPENDS... Question: does this open automatically with a transaction
Answer: YES!! it DOES open if it is connected to a receipt printer. You will then need to go to your printer properties and tell it to open cash drawer and/or enter a drawer code, which could be one of the following: 27, 112, 0, 50, 250. I have my receipt printer connected to a laptop via usb and the drawer connected to the printer. I had to go to settings on my laptop, then printer/devices, click on properties for my printer, then "printing preferences" then "document settings" where I was able to tell it when to open drawer, after printing receipt or before.
Question: What if you lost your keys to your register
Answer: You pos has option to do no sale so you can open your drawer without sale. Also if you are using manual register then it would be hard to open cash drawer. It does come with 4 keys so it should be easy to keep one in safe or at home.
Question: does this work with square or not? Some say yes and some say no it does not? I am confused
Answer: This cash drawer will work with a receipt printer that has an RJ45 output specifically to open Cash drawers. I think you may need to contact square and ask them if their printer supports cash drawer operation.

Answer: it depends on your counter you plan to mount it it doesn't have any brakets but small l brackets wouldn't be hard to add sold in most hard ware stores just be careful not to screw into the track of the drawer or if you take it apart you can drill screw holes on the top of the case that wouldn't harm the function or just use mental strap with can be found in the exhaust section at your local auto parts store or hard ware store its a pretty simple cash draw and can be used manually or with a 14 to 30 volt no more than a .5 to .01 amp power supply
