Answer:	In 2018, most likely NO. This is an analog scanner. Most police and rescue are using digital systems these days. This isn't the fault of the scanner; you need to buy a digital scanner to hear police and rescue traffic in your area. This is the case in most of the USA in 2018.

Answer:	NO you do not need an "OUTSIDE" Antenna! In fact some may even DAMAGE your scanner! One Addition might be a Long Telescoping Antenna with a BNC Connection available on AMAZON that does in fact HELP your reception without damaging your scanner. Answer:	I live in Las Vegas. With the HomePatrol 2 Im able to monitor my local civilian airports, Nellis AFB, the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR) including Groom Lake aka Area 51 and the Tonopah Test Range. Theres a small piece of spectrum between 54 to 88 MHz where some military aircraft like to hangout that the HP2 cant receive, but all other bands (e.g. 30-50, 108-136, 138-144, 148-150.8, 162-174, 225-400, and 406-420 MHz) it will receive.

Answer:	The GPS receiver is installed but you need the plugin GPS antenna that must be purchased separate. (about $100.00)Any antenna can be used with the proper adapter. If you are using a outside antenna you just need to know what type of connector is on the end of the cable coming from the antenna and purchase the proper adapter. The stock antenna is SMA, but it comes with a SMA to BNC adapter. Adapters range in price from 5 - 10 dollars.

There are 7 different kinds of tone (do re mi fa sol la si ) corresponding different sensitivity level. “Do” is the highest sensitivity level.

Answer:	The remote is just to arm and disarm the alarm, so it will still work no matter how far away you are. And you can adjust the sensitivity of the “vibrations” from dropping a building on it to activate to dropping a grain of rice on it to activate the alarm. Wouldn’t recommend the smallest sensitivity setting though because anything could set it off that’s how sensitive you can adjust it.
