Question:	How can I unjam the machine!? Cannot open drawer
Answer:	Uggh. I know the feeling. I suspect you used it without emptying the drawer soon enough. You end up with a literal paper jam! :) The drawer is trapped by the shredded paper above it. I was able to open it just a little and put my hand in and press down on the shredded paper. This allowed me to open the drawer a little more and repeat the process. Have a vacuum ready to clean up all the stray confetti - inside and outside the shredder. Unfortunately, this shredder doesn't auto-off when it is full until it is too late. Good luck with this, I think you can fix it yourself in a few minutes.

Answer:	1-2 month shipping time? I went back and looked at the item, it says prime eligible, which is just 2 days!

Answer:	The manufacturer says ' DO NOT USE OIL". I purchased the NUOVA Shredder Sharpening and Lubricant Sheets, they are simple to use. I use one sheet a month, just run sheet through shredder then run in reverse for ten seconds. I have been doing this since I purchased the shredder and it has reduced the paper dust that builds up on the underside of the shredder head and I don't have the problem of paper sticking to the teeth.
Question:	Can this handle shredding the new credit cards with chips in them? My last shredder is now broken because of the chip cards
Answer:	I honestly do not think chipped credit cards would be an issue at all. I doubt the shredder would ever notice it. The chip is a very thin fragile piece of copper. Try to find the manual online for the shredder you are looking at, if it can handle staples and small paperclips, then a chipped card would be nothing.

Answer:	Do you want the "official" answer or a practical one? Officially I believe the previous responders are correct by saying 8 sheets. From my experience, I believe that if you were to feed in sheets eight at a time, you would find that the shredder would soon overheat and the circuit breaker would trip off. That requires a somewhat lengthy cool-down period before you can resume shredding operations. (If you only go through a limited number of cycles of 8 sheets each, that would be okay.) In my experience, it generally handles 4 sheets at a time over a prolonged period. This is the case when I am clearing out last years credit card receipts, utility bills, etc. That can add up to a fair amount of paper for shredding. Is this a scientific exact answer? No, but it is what I have done to get good results from my shredder. Have I ever tripped the circuit breaker? Yep. They say experience is the best teacher. While this is somewhat long winded, I hope it gives you a useful answer for what to expect.

Answer:	AS420C is a cross-cut unit. Shred size is approx. 1" 1/2

Answer:	The handle is just the "quick" hold the door and not locking the door. Only the dead bolt is needed the key for lock and unlock from outside. So when you push down, the door will open if deadbolt is unlocked. The handle push is not lockable

Question:	Will it shred junk mail in the envelope
Answer:	If the envelope has a plastic window, no....otherwise, no problem..don't try to shred adhesive labels either. It will shred credit cards and CD/DVD's.

Answer:	I believe it's advertised as taking 15 sheets; however, the actual # of sheets it will take depends on each sheet's thickness.
Question:	On a scale of 1-5 and 5 being the loudest...how noisey is it
Answer:	Small cheap shredder at home = 5. This one = 2. This is located in a cube farm, and it is not offensive even though I have direct line of sight at a 15 foot distance.
Question:	Is this shredder size appropriate for home use? The dimensions seem large. This would be for a person who shreds a small amount several times a week
Answer:	It is larger than a typical home shredder, but I love it. If you are shredding several times a week, this is a good model. Only, don't shred junk mail envelopes with the cellophane windows. They melt as the shredder gets warm during use, and it can clog the shredder. I found that out the hard way. Otherwise, really terrific machine!

Question:	mine came with a small plastic basket (5-1/2"d x 5-1/2"w) it was broken but I don't know what it is for??? Doesn't show it in the manuel
Answer:	Yes. It makes clean up very easy. Just pull out bin, remove plastic bag to dispose and insert new, empty plastic bag. I use old grocery store bags. Fits perfect.
Question:	Description says 12 sheet shredder, but the photo of the unit states 7 sheet max, so which is it
Answer:	Never put a paper clip through any shredder. It can take the staples, but your shredder will last longer if you take them out.
