Answer:	There is an interlock on the shredder that prevents it from operating unless it's sitting on the shredded paper receptacle - usually a switch in a slot on the head that is closed by a tab on the receptacle. If the bag doesn't interfere with that interlock, it should work. A very thin bag, or a bag cut out specifically to not interfere with the interlock, will likely work.

Just be careful not to put thicker sheets or folded sheets in too often or it will overheat the system and you have to wait 15 - 20 minutes for it to cool down. Stick to one or 2 sheets at a time. If you have a lot of paperwork, you may want to go up a size because the basket fills up pretty quickly. Overall, it is a good little machine.

Answer:	Great question... I checked the Instruction Manual to find that there is no mention of a warranty... It's a lazy Sunday afternoon (August 17th, 4:34 PM PDT) so I called Amazon Customer Service (1-800-216-1072)... The very nice lady who answered (Marya) tells me that while the warranty information does not appear anywhere on the Amazon website, there is a one-year warranty on ANY AmazonBasic product, including the 6-sheet cross-cut paper shredder (ASIN# B00HFJWKWK)... Good to know... We've had this unit a couple of months and love it... Only challenge is that we generate a whole heckuva lot more shreds than we imagined... Would be great if we could order a basket about three or four times as large...

Fingers or paws are way too big to be able to enter the slot. The shredder blades are a good two inches below the top of the slot. The paper slot is 3/16" wide. A pencil will not fit into the slot. I am well pleased with the machine. I do quite a bit of shredding so I do not mind emptying the bin every now & then.

Answer:	1-2 month shipping time? I went back and looked at the item, it says prime eligible, which is just 2 days!
Question:	What kind of lubricant/sharpening sheets are recommended for this machine? Or is an oil better
Answer:	The manufacturer says ' DO NOT USE OIL". I purchased the NUOVA Shredder Sharpening and Lubricant Sheets, they are simple to use. I use one sheet a month, just run sheet through shredder then run in reverse for ten seconds. I have been doing this since I purchased the shredder and it has reduced the paper dust that builds up on the underside of the shredder head and I don't have the problem of paper sticking to the teeth.
Question:	Can this handle shredding the new credit cards with chips in them? My last shredder is now broken because of the chip cards
Answer:	I honestly do not think chipped credit cards would be an issue at all. I doubt the shredder would ever notice it. The chip is a very thin fragile piece of copper. Try to find the manual online for the shredder you are looking at, if it can handle staples and small paperclips, then a chipped card would be nothing.
Question:	how many sheets of paper can you put in at once
Answer:	Do you want the "official" answer or a practical one? Officially I believe the previous responders are correct by saying 8 sheets. From my experience, I believe that if you were to feed in sheets eight at a time, you would find that the shredder would soon overheat and the circuit breaker would trip off. That requires a somewhat lengthy cool-down period before you can resume shredding operations. (If you only go through a limited number of cycles of 8 sheets each, that would be okay.) In my experience, it generally handles 4 sheets at a time over a prolonged period. This is the case when I am clearing out last years credit card receipts, utility bills, etc. That can add up to a fair amount of paper for shredding. Is this a scientific exact answer? No, but it is what I have done to get good results from my shredder. Have I ever tripped the circuit breaker? Yep. They say experience is the best teacher. While this is somewhat long winded, I hope it gives you a useful answer for what to expect.

Answer:	I have heard it WILL shred cardboard. To answer the dude about why you would want to shred cardboard? You must not have a big yard. We composters are dying for ways to use what comes from delivery nonstop at home! Also, I’ve heard it makes decent packing material. I’m getting one!

Answer:	I purchased C149-D and while the warranty was stated in the Instruction Manual there was no information as to how to return the item or how to contact customer service (instructions state to call Customer Service). Did anyone else have the same experience with the documentation? I thought that was a little odd so I contacted Amazon and was told that the warranty is usually upheld with the manufacturer but if they are unwilling to work with you, Amazon will generally work with you to honor the warranty. I will rely on Amazon's assurance as I want to give this shredder a try.

Answer:	You can use any trash liner that will fit in the bin. I think we're using 33 gallon size. As a side note, the manual says there are hooks/tabs inside the bin that are there to hold the liner, but we found it easier to drape the liner over the bin itself. It doesn't look as pretty, but it minimizes the shredded paper that ends up on the floor.

Question:	Can you shred address stickers
Answer:	I tried shredding the labels by themselves and it shredded but the sticky part got stuck on the shredding blades. So now I put the address labels between 2 plain pieces of paper then put it through the shredder and it seems to work well with no sticking to the blades. Hope that helped

Answer:	It seems to do Ok. The way it handles labels on plastic is the only plus that this shredder has It can't handle more than a couple of peices of paper at a time. And you can't shred more than two or three minutes before it slows down and sounds awful

Answer:	Approximately 17 3/4" tall without the wheels.

Answer:	After reverse and forward a few times. If it still stuck I pull paper out with a pliers while it’s reversing.

Answer:	OMG! Seriously??? NO! It is a paper and cardboard shredder. You can shred credit cards at best but CD's??? Throw that crap away! It is like asking if there is a machine that shreds 8-tracks from the 80's!

Overload and Overheat Protection

The Bonsaii Paper shredder will run continuously for 4 minutes before needing a 40-minute cool-down. if the unit keeps shredding over its maximum continuous running time, and become overheated to stop working, please don't pull out the paper you are shredding, just shut off the machine and let it cool down about 40 minutes, it will return to work again.

Auto Star and Manual Reverse

When sliding to the Auto mode, shredding begins once the sensor detects something to be shredded.Then shredded paper will drop into 3.4 gallons wastebasket. Finally, you could use the Rev mode to clean up the jammed paper easily. Please remember to clean the wastebasket when the paper scraps is full of 2/3 of it.

Question:	How long does it work , and how long is the cool down
Answer:	The paper shredder works around 10 minutes or so when you are using it continuously. You can maybe get a few minutes more, but there's more of a chance of it overheating. If the paper shredder overheats, you will have to wait about 30 minutes for it to cool down. If you use it for about 10 minutes, STOP shredding for about 5 minutes. This avoids having the shredder shut down automatically to cool down. In the long run, taking five minute breaks is way more productive then waiting a mandatory 30 minutes. Just take the extra time and shuffle some papers or organize some. Haha. Seriously though It really is a good paper shredder. It shreds the papers into very tiny confetti. I feel it's worth working in 10 minute bursts.
Question:	Is it easy to empty? Do the bits fly around when you empty it
Answer:	Put a small plastic bag in it. I then dump the shredded material in my recycling bag. So no bits are flying around. Then you can put the same small bag back into shredder.

Question:	Does it shred plastic wrappers
Answer:	I would not recommend it, as this particular device doesn't "cut" as much as "masticate" ,or "pull apart" what's fed into it. Since plastic wrappers have the ability to stretch, they don't "cut" in this machine. Instead, they get "ripped apart" - leaving globs of various-length ripped plastic all over the moving parts of the machine. I fed mine some of this plastic overwrap from a new router I bought - the plastic had the default password and MAC address of my router, and I wanted to shred it. Now I am sorry.... as well as looking for pliers to get all the plastic out of the shredder's teeth.

Answer:	Bonsaii c220A is a 12 sheet cross cut shredder. the shredded paper looks like confetti. Bonsaii C220B is a 10 sheet micro cut shredder. the shredded paper looks like tiny diamond cuts. the difference is the cutting of the paper. micro shredding is smaller than cross cut. if you recyle micro cutting paper, staple the top of the bag and roll it down. the spill is a messy clean up. the second difference is how many document you can shred at one time. C220A 12 sheets at a time. C220B 10 sheets at a time
Question:	How do i get the wheels on? can i use a rubber mallet? i'm a little concerned as the material is plastic
Answer:	Dear customer, we suggest you to paste some lubricant oil to the wheels and try if can push them in, if not, you can use a rubber mallet to help. Please know that the 2 wheels with brake is for the front side. If have any problem just let us know.
Question:	will this work in a standard us outlet
Answer:	The one I have has a two-pronged plug. So if they don't or haven't changed design, yes, should work in standard outlet.
Question:	Manual for C-221B says continuous run time is only 10 minutes, but your description is 30 minutes continuous. Which one is correct
Answer:	Neither I could only get it to run for maybe 2 minutes. This is not a good product and you should pick another manufacturer and model. I found a really good one at Costco.
