Answer:	1-2 month shipping time? I went back and looked at the item, it says prime eligible, which is just 2 days!

Answer:	The manufacturer says ' DO NOT USE OIL". I purchased the NUOVA Shredder Sharpening and Lubricant Sheets, they are simple to use. I use one sheet a month, just run sheet through shredder then run in reverse for ten seconds. I have been doing this since I purchased the shredder and it has reduced the paper dust that builds up on the underside of the shredder head and I don't have the problem of paper sticking to the teeth.
Question:	Can this handle shredding the new credit cards with chips in them? My last shredder is now broken because of the chip cards
Answer:	I honestly do not think chipped credit cards would be an issue at all. I doubt the shredder would ever notice it. The chip is a very thin fragile piece of copper. Try to find the manual online for the shredder you are looking at, if it can handle staples and small paperclips, then a chipped card would be nothing.
Question:	how many sheets of paper can you put in at once
Answer:	Do you want the "official" answer or a practical one? Officially I believe the previous responders are correct by saying 8 sheets. From my experience, I believe that if you were to feed in sheets eight at a time, you would find that the shredder would soon overheat and the circuit breaker would trip off. That requires a somewhat lengthy cool-down period before you can resume shredding operations. (If you only go through a limited number of cycles of 8 sheets each, that would be okay.) In my experience, it generally handles 4 sheets at a time over a prolonged period. This is the case when I am clearing out last years credit card receipts, utility bills, etc. That can add up to a fair amount of paper for shredding. Is this a scientific exact answer? No, but it is what I have done to get good results from my shredder. Have I ever tripped the circuit breaker? Yep. They say experience is the best teacher. While this is somewhat long winded, I hope it gives you a useful answer for what to expect.

Answer:	I purchased C149-D and while the warranty was stated in the Instruction Manual there was no information as to how to return the item or how to contact customer service (instructions state to call Customer Service). Did anyone else have the same experience with the documentation? I thought that was a little odd so I contacted Amazon and was told that the warranty is usually upheld with the manufacturer but if they are unwilling to work with you, Amazon will generally work with you to honor the warranty. I will rely on Amazon's assurance as I want to give this shredder a try.

Answer:	You can use any trash liner that will fit in the bin. I think we're using 33 gallon size. As a side note, the manual says there are hooks/tabs inside the bin that are there to hold the liner, but we found it easier to drape the liner over the bin itself. It doesn't look as pretty, but it minimizes the shredded paper that ends up on the floor.

Question:	can you use a bag
Answer:	There is an interlock on the shredder that prevents it from operating unless it's sitting on the shredded paper receptacle - usually a switch in a slot on the head that is closed by a tab on the receptacle. If the bag doesn't interfere with that interlock, it should work. A very thin bag, or a bag cut out specifically to not interfere with the interlock, will likely work.
Question:	Is this a medium duty cycle for a small office
Answer:	It would be great for a small office. Just be careful not to put thicker sheets or folded sheets in too often or it will overheat the system and you have to wait 15 - 20 minutes for it to cool down. Stick to one or 2 sheets at a time. If you have a lot of paperwork, you may want to go up a size because the basket fills up pretty quickly. Overall, it is a good little machine.

Answer:	Great question... I checked the Instruction Manual to find that there is no mention of a warranty... It's a lazy Sunday afternoon (August 17th, 4:34 PM PDT) so I called Amazon Customer Service (1-800-216-1072)... The very nice lady who answered (Marya) tells me that while the warranty information does not appear anywhere on the Amazon website, there is a one-year warranty on ANY AmazonBasic product, including the 6-sheet cross-cut paper shredder (ASIN# B00HFJWKWK)... Good to know... We've had this unit a couple of months and love it... Only challenge is that we generate a whole heckuva lot more shreds than we imagined... Would be great if we could order a basket about three or four times as large...

Answer:	It is a small micro-cut of 7/64 in x 25/64 in

Answer:	I am going to quote the advertising information + Safety Lock feature disables shredder when not in use for added safety protection. I also find the paper slot to be quite narrow. Fingers or paws are way too big to be able to enter the slot. The shredder blades are a good two inches below the top of the slot. The paper slot is 3/16" wide. A pencil will not fit into the slot. I am well pleased with the machine. I do quite a bit of shredding so I do not mind emptying the bin every now & then.
Question:	What else do I need to get to maintain this machine? And are there instructions that come with the shredder in regards to maintenance? Thank you
Answer:	Here's what you need to know: 1. Once a month or so, fold a piece of paper, and squeeze some shredder oil along the crease. Then shred the paper. 2. Don't try to shred 10 sheets of stiff paper at a time. 3. Don't let the bin fill to the top— It will make a mess when you try to empty it. Other than that, this is the best shredder I have ever had.

Question:	How often do you have to oil these and how is it done? I don't see any instructions for doing it
Answer:	Don't know what the mfr. says, but everytime I empty a full basket of shredded paper I oil the shredder by taking two 8.5X11 sheets of paper and make "S" patterns on them with the shredder oil and then run them through the shredder.. Seems to work for me. By the way, this is supposed to be a 10 sheet shredder but it is nowhere near that in my opinion. Strains and groans with 4 sheets.
Question:	where is this shedder built
Answer:	I have no idea. But, it failed. I had it three years, but only used it a couple times a month. Did not overload. And easy to use printer, but terrible quality, clearly.
Question:	How long can the machine shred for? And then how long does it take to cool down
Answer:	I've never really run it for more than 20-30 minutes consecutively since that's about how long it takes to fill up the bucket that you need to empty. By the time you empty the bucket, it's good to go another round. I don't really shred large volumes of paper very often but for day to day use it's been great.

Question:	Is it easy to lift And open
Answer:	It has a drawer which is better then lifting the shredder off to empty it
Question:	The drawer bin won't open (opens about an inch but caught on something). I have unplugged it, run in reverse, in forward, powered on/off. help
Answer:	Open the drawer slightly and push down the shredding. Mine does the same when it has even 1/2 full shredding bits in it.
Question:	Will it shred a credit card with a chip? My current 2013 Amazon Basic shredder handles credit cards, but not those with a chip in them
Answer:	Staples, credit cards with chips etc are no problem. Just remember you’ll need to give this device a rest every 20-30 minutes of heavy duty schredding. And hand paper shredder oil for regular maintenance

Answer:	Unless a larger can has the same top shape as the Fellows shredder, I don'r know how you would be able to use it.
Question:	How does this handle unopened junk mail, including sample credit cards
Answer:	I don't put unopened junk mail in it. I shred the credit cards separately and it does very well. So far it has been a great machine.
Question:	How long is the power cord
Answer:	The power cord on our 60Cs is shredder is 5 feet in length. While this is not the case for all of our machines, most shredders do have a 5 foot power cord.
Question:	Have you owned yours for a year or longer? Sick of buying shredders after a year...want to make sure it holds up
Answer:	Haven't used it for a long time. But when I did use it I really liked it. It seems that when used a lot they any shredder doesn't last more then a year. I have bought at less 5. This one I do like. Sorry if I couldn't help
