Technically the stern light must be visible for 360 degrees. For an inexpensive stern light I recommend a Dorcy Mini Lantern with two key rings zip-tied to it to allow it to be fastened to the boat. For a really good stern light, I recommend the Kayalite portable stern light. It has a pole that lifts it above the deck, but can be fastened to any boat with something to clip to on the stern. |
