Answer:	The scanner does not need an internet connection to scan, but you do need a PC to work with. The scanning speed is very fast, clarity is also very good, simple software operation and rich functions.

Answer:	For me the software did not work with Windows 10. I tried it on two new laptops and the software would never get yo the main screen it was just stuck in a loop. I was looking forward to using this product. Unfortunately I didn't get around to installing the software until the return policy window expired so I am stuck with something I can't use.
Question:	Can this scanner handle curvature of middle/seam sections of bound books (like automatically straightening image out at curve)? Is this a problem

1. HARDWARE CONNECTION

Turn on the desktop computer/latop, you need find the usb cable in the package.Connect one end of the USB cable to the port of the document camera scanner and the other end to the USB port of the computer.

Answer:	Hello, this scanner is made by built-in WIFI. You don't need to have internet on your device. The scanner is more like a mobile WIFI. You just need to open "WIFI" from scanner and connect your device to the WIFI that scanner creates with password. Then available to get the scans.
Question:	can you use this and be on a video conference? can it be used instead of screen sharing on a video conference
Answer:	I have a Mac but I also have a Windows laptop. What I do is scan onto the wand and then connect the wand to the laptop through the USB and transfer the scans onto my Windows laptop. So I'm not using the software-I wasn't able to figure out how to get it to work so I decided to do it this way instead.
Question:	Does it have a cd drive to install the software on my laptop? or USB disk
Answer:	I am using it to scan my father's journal and it works pretty well so it would probably workk to scan recipes from a book, as long as the book can be opened pretty wide.

Question:	Does the new iriscan software work with mac ios? or does it not work
Answer:	IRIScan Desk is for Windows only for the moment. A Mac version is in development , to be released at the end of the year. IRIScan Desk user will have the possibility to get the Mac software for free when it's ready.
Question:	How is this for small artwork and drawings
Answer:	I would not recommend it for that. I have used this for documents/ID's and was not real happy with the quality of the scan. You can read everything but my 3 years old cell phone does a much better job.
Question:	Does this scanner have translation features of OCR text scanned
Answer:	IRIScan Desk software allows you to convert documents to editable formats. It won't translate to another language directly but once the text is editable you can easily send in a third Party application like Google Translate.

A book or booklet up to size A3 can be scanned without cutting pages out. When a page is scanned the software will automatically flatten the curved pages and split the scan into two separate images.
