User questions & answers

Question: Is this the new 2ap18aa version or is in still the old g8x92aa version being shipped
Answer: I bought the calculator and I am sure it is G2 2019 model.
Question: Is this the newest version of the HP Prime
Answer: It supports RPN, but you can tell that it was an afterthought. The interface with functions is very clunky, requiring more keystrokes than HP's classic RPN machines like the 42S. There is no RPN/RPL programming. If you're really big on RPN, I recommend the Swiss Micros DM42.
Question: Is this the newest version with with darker blue buttons
Answer: Yes it is, a 2019 model.
Question: Does this have wifi? i was looking at this for my calculus classes or the ti 84? which one is better? how is the battery life? does to do rpn
Answer: I think it is, although I could not find anything that says g2 on the calculator the internal ram and flash memory seems to go with the g2 specification then with the g1 specification.

User questions & answers

Question: Has anyone been able to check it for software/firmware updates via the HP connectivity software on either a Win7 or Win8 computer
Answer: Hello. My version is G8X92AA and I believe the this 2AP18AA is the latest version which came out around Aug-Sep 2018. You may wish to call customer service if your looking to get the latest version and they should be better able to help you. Good Luck. P.S. I am attaching this link for further information on HP Prime which is supposed to be twice as fast as the previous model. https://www.amazon.co.uk/HP-Prime-G2-Graphing-Calculator/dp/B07HF6RXGG
Question: Does anyone know if there is compatibility with HP41C programs? My old 41C died... sob
Answer: Yes. But is LA(Latin America) Packaging
Question: Can the font size be changed on the HP 50g
Answer: I believe this version is last model which is now being replaced by the following model 2AP18AA#B1S which has now been out since Aug-Sep 2018. Also the new one is twice the speed according to specs. https://www.amazon.co.uk/HP-Prime-G2-Graphing-Calculator/dp/B07HF6RXGG
Question: Programmable
Answer: Hi,HP Prime does not have WiFi, but instead it had a wireless capabilities. It can communicate with a special transceiver module from HP. Choosing between Ti-84 and HP-Prime depends on the class material and the instructor preference. If you are looking for a powerful processing calculator, then HP-Prime is probably one of the fastest you can find today. Also great for writing your own programs using PC connectivity kit.For me as ECE graduate student, it provide lots of flexibility and computational power (impressive graphics capabilities).Battery life seems very good to me. It need a charge every 2 weeks (depends on your use and screen brightness). It does RPN but not natively as old HP calculators do. In addition the user experince is copletly differnt.in conclusion, it has lots of potentials other than the builtin Apps. It can be frustrating if your curricular activities are based on Ti's calculators.Hope this helps,Mohammed

User questions & answers

Question: Did it come with computer software
Answer: I agree with the Al's comment. HP 10BII+ is really tailored for finance use only while the TI BAII+ has similar functions of a scientific calculator.
Question: Does it solve indefinite integrals
Answer: I think the main difference is one is meant exclusively for a finance class. It should have the software or programming to calculate finance problems.
Question: Would be possible to solve simultaneous equations with complex numbers? Would be possible to calculate the square root of a complex number
Answer: yes it does have commas in between themThanks
Question: Is it good for geometry exam
Answer: A much more extensive, 187-page manual is available for download on the HP website. User questions & answers

Question: Is the display dimmer than the older HP 12c
Answer: I think it's actually a little brighter. I'd suggest looking at one at Office Depot or Staples first. See what you think of the display.
Question: Where can I buy the batteries for this calculator
Answer: Ok; batteries: FYI: with moderate use, my batteries last 3-4 years. Three solutions: 1) Open battery compartment on back of 12C; get battery model-number; buy them on the web (if memory serves, I think they’re about $5/ea) 2) my medium-sized City (Melbourne, FL) actually had a battery store that sells a couple thousand(?) models of batteries. 3) I would guess most iPhone repair stores would sell that size battery (obviously, call first)
Question: Is there a difference between the hp12c & hp12 plantinum
Answer: no! The Platinum always displays "RPN", and the older versions do not. I have used these for more than 20 years, and the Platinum is a "DO NOT BUY" because of this feature... Everyone knows the calculator is "RPN", nobody needs it on the display all the time.
Question: Are these original, hp manufactured, new products? reason i ask is the list price is incorrect ($79.99 at hp) and all the problems with keys
Answer: I have never had any particular issue with the keys, and I have had multiple HP12Cs since they were introduced in the mid 1970s (as far as I can remember...). The one that I received was new and it, too, has no key issues to report. I will say that, over the years, with each new 12C, the touch was slightly different, but I got used to it quickly.

User questions & answers

Question: Does it display the table for the function that has been graphed
Answer: Not sure what you mean, since you are citing the same model of calculator (HP-35s) three times. This model has an LCD type of display. The ORIGINAL HP-35 from 1973 or so had an LED type of display with red numbers against the black background, and was MUCH easier to read, in my opinion. Any LCD becomes invisible in bright light.
Question: Can I use this calculator to see graphics for compound interest
Answer: The HP-35s uses two CR2032 Lithium Batteries.
Question: Es equivalente a la casio fx9750gii
Answer: It is actually quite easy! Just remember in RPN, if you can do something with the number you just entered and the previous number in the display, do it. If not, press “ENTER”. Because of the Reverse Polish Notation input logic of the calculator, it all works out. Simple example: 32(6+5)/(17x9) =? With an RPN CALCULATOR, your entries would be: 32 [can’t do anything with it so] “ENTER” 6 [can’t do anything with it and 32, so] “ENTER” 5 [you can do the addition with the 6, so] “+” [now you can multiply the result with the 32, so] “x” >>The result of 32(6+5) appears in the display [352]<< 17 [can’t do anything with it so] “ENTER” 9 [you can do the multiplication with the 17, so] “x” >>The result of (17x9) appears in the display [153]<< [now you can do the division, so] “/” >>The result of 32(6+5)/(17x9) = is displayed [2.30]<< You simply enter the numbers in the natural order that you read them. The RPN logic takes care of the rest. With a STANDARD ALGEBRAIC CALCULATOR, you will have to do the 17x9 first and store the result. Then do the 6+5 and then multiply it by 32. Then you have to recall the number previously stored in memory and do the division. While you are doing all that, you hope that you remembered to press the / key before you recalled the memory. If you mess up, you get to start all over!
Question: Worth buying
Answer: The calculator does not have polar to rectangular functions, but ...You can set the display to display complex numbers as either polar or rectangularThen just enter the number in the other modeExample: Set display to Rectangular then enter 5angle60 and it will display 2.5000i4.3301Or set the display to Polar then enter 3i4 and it will display 5.000angle53.1301In some ways this is even easier to use than polar to rectangular conversions and in some ways it is less convenient. In rectangular mode, normal numbers are displayed normally. Pi is displayed as 3.1416, not 3.1416i0.0000I hope this helps.Mark

User questions & answers

Question: Is this $66 calculator the same 300s+ available on the HP website for
Answer: If you actually saw an HP-300S+ like this one being offered for $66, it's a complete ripoff. It's a ~15$ bargain basement calculator.
Question: Does it solve log of negative number
Answer: Yes it does, if using RPN just apply RPN mechanics
Question: Anyone know of a fix for the keys not responding every time
Answer: That is an issue in this calculator, keys are not good, you have to press hard and check all the time if the numbers were input correctly.
Question: is it RPN supported
Answer: No, unfortunately. I wish HP would make a basic scientific that was RPN like the old HP-35. The 35s is RPN supported but you have to program it to do a lot of what other calculators such as the Casio 115ES+ and TI-36PRO already have built in to them. The 300S+ isn't a bad machine but almost for the same price you can get a more powerful machine in the Casio or TI. If the HP 300S+ did have RPN capability that would be a great selling point but unfortunately at this time I don't think HP makes anything you are looking for unless you buy the HP-35S which is more expensive and a pain in the neck because for most special functions beyond basic capabilities you have to program it.
