Answer:	D harp is fine to learn as a beginner. You will find it easier to get clear notes on holes 1 through 6. As you get up into the higher ranges you might have a little trouble getting a clean note because you have to be centered on the hole perfectly. As for the Hohner Marine Band.... Excellent harmonica. Also consider the Hohner Special 20. It has a plastic comb which won't swell when you have saliva on the comb which can be a problem for beginners. Yes there is a lot of difference between a cheap harmonica and good one. ChaEap harmonicas have stiff reeds and don't play well. Make a good investment. you will be happy for a long time.

do the high notes sound good or do they sound airy

Answer:

No you're not. I own about (3) 12 holed ocarinas made by the same company and each one has a different sound. I believe because each one is hand crafted they're not all gonna sound exactly the same, makes it unique in a sense. If it is a higher note where you have to have your finger on a hole, try checking to make sure your finger is completely covering the hole. I've had issues with that as well, it becomes a bit pitchy when the holes aren't covered properly. :) Hope this helps a bit!

Question:	Is this instrument easy to learn in time? I have no prior learning in playing an ocarina, so is this good for a beginner
Answer:	The difference is in the glaze. While this looks cracked, the finish is actually a smooth glossy regular finish with no cracks, the type of glaze you would expect on crockery, vases and many other porcelain items. The Forest Whisper is finished off by being burnt in a straw fire, and can smell and taste, and produce allergies in people who do not normally have allergies, I suggest you read the negative comments about the ocarinas made this way, and Google the finish to find out how its made, then make up your own mind. The straw fire finish tastes like a burnt barbecue, the ocarina itself is lovely sounding. This white one is the same style and a nice instrument to hold and play, it has a slightly different and equally beautiful sound which is due to the glaze, and represents good value for money.
Question:	I previously owned an ocarina from stl ocarinas. can anyone tell me how this one compares to theirs
Answer:	You can carefully wipe over the outside of a ceramic ocarina like this with a slightly damp cloth, but remember the glaze is cracked,.The inside is unglazed and not meant to be washed like a tea cup or even rinsed out quickly with flowing water. Don't even try using a bottle brush inside it as that will scratch it and it will never sound the same. Water can be the enemy of ceramics if they are not fully glazed and sealed. Like all musical instruments, these need to be treated with respect, no matter how much they cost.
Question:	What is the difference between this ocarina and the "Forest Whisper" model
Answer:	It all depends on your skill on the ocarina. If you are used to playing one and have good breath support, the notes will be crisp; without having prior experience, the notes will be difficult to attain.
Question:	can i use water to wash it
Answer:	It does, yes. I had a hard time getting it to balance properly though.
