Google "Pakistan bagpipes" and you'll see discussion on every possible internet forum for pipers saying the Pakistan-made pipes are basically unusable for anything beyond hanging on the wall. It's not just nationalist bias, plenty of folk give detailed explanations as to the crude craftsmanship of these workshops which have been infamous for making poor quality pipes for decades. If you peruse any online bagpipe forum, you can find plenty of info for beginners about how to start out affordably on decent student models, but this ain't it. |

| Answer: | They do sound decent straight out of the box, once they've been tuned. They would sound better with higher quality reeds. The reeds included will suffice to help learn the pipes and making sure it's an instrument to continue with, but would sound better with higher quality ones. |
