There is a generic calibration curve printed on the box, and there are a few calibration files out on the web that were created using that curve, but these ECM8000s aren't uniquely calibrated. There is at least one company that will take your ECM8000 and calibrate it for you (and provide the calibration file), or you can buy one pre-calibrated (from 3rd parties).

Answer:	This included plug seems highly problematic, as this is a condenser microphone that according to others, requires phantom power, which is in general 48V, and looking at what is in the picture I don’t see where the power would go in. Maybe the included USB converter is doing something? I would not plug that cable into your phone, or for that matter any other device. If you had a Digital interface that supported your phone and supported balanced (xlr) with phantom power, then yeah sure. IK Multimedia makes something like that called iRig Pro which works with Apple, sure there’s something for the rest of the world..
Question:	Before buying just want to know, Is this a usb microphone
Answer:	In short: no. This is an XLR condenser mic which needs to be connected to either a powered mixer or a proper usb audio interface with phantom power. Neither the included cable or the USB audio dongle included are going to work properly. I have no idea why they didn't just omit those things and include a normal mic cable. People complaining about the low volume level of the mic are undoubtedly trying to use it as provided, which is not a proper setup. You'll need an XLR to XLR cable and something like a Focusrite Scarlet or other USB audio interface in order to use this mic properly.

Answer:	The RCM03 is a great mic for podcasting. Just beware that this microphone is kind of a “bright” microphone. Meaning, you’ll have a crisp sounding podcast, but it may come out sounding, what pro sound engineers say, “polished”, or too clean. You may also use the Marantz mic as well since it was built for studio recording. It won’t come out sounding “bright” like the RCM03, but it will still come out sounding clear as day. Overall, you could use either mic. It just depends on what you’re looking for in terms of sound quality. Hopefully this helps!

Answer:	This would depend on what you are plugging into. Most systems will use the XLR. However, if you are going from XLR into a 1/4 inch headphone jack you will need to have a XLR to 1/4 adapter. In my setup I have an XLR microphone that goes into a mixer which also uses XLR. I then use a direct interface (DI) box for my guitar. So there the instrument used 1/4 inch to the DI and then from the DI to the mixer is XLR. Hope this helps.

Answer:	If your Shure 51 is XLR and your amp is 1/4inch jack, then you best go to a music store for further advice. I am not fond of attachments.

Answer:	XLR cables are by design able to be daisy-chained into each other so you can connect as many as you'd care to (up to the limitation of RF interference where you're using it of course) to construct a temporary cable as long as you need. Runs of 50' are common using this condition and I've seen 100'+ runs used successfully in this manner.
