The pedal recognizes two or three-note chords and trigger the lowest note. Control the level of the original tone and mix in the octave effect. I've had mine for over a year and exclusively play 5 and 6 string basses. The number of strings is less of an issue and more depends on what notes you're playing and if you have a dedicated subwoofer. The pedal seems to bottom out/not be clear if you're playing notes below 65-70hz (The C on the third fret of the A string is about as low as you can get away with before it loses definition). The pedal sounds much better when soloing or playing things in a higher position. The high C string sounds great.

Answer:	There are no "hooks" on guitars. There is a strap button on the bottom, but none up higher.You tie the top end of the strap at the head- or take the guitar to a shop and have a button installedat the base of the neck. Hope this helps.

Answer:	The guitar comes with a thin cable. It works but I suggest you get a thicker one and keep this as a spare. The thin cable did work properly, no hum and the connectors fit well so it does ok.

Answer:	It seems well contructed.
Question:	Does it stay in tune ? How does it sound in Drop D
Answer:	It stayed in tune acceptably out of the box. Maybe lost a few cents overnight. Spent $13 on TUSQ XL nuts, and it sounds better and has stayed in tune for 3 days without a single cent lost. Drop D sounds a bit mushy with the cheap 0.045 gauge strings, but is acceptable with overdrive/compression. I'd change the strings if clean drop D is desired.
Question:	Can you play both electric and acoustic on this guitar
Answer:	It is an electric bass guitar, so it is meant to be plugged into an amplifier. Of course you can always play it unplugged, but it would sound very quiet. I used to practice unplugged while everyone in my house slept.

Answer:	It has the same characteristics of the original DI but it's focused on emulate the Ampeg SVT amp. It also has a button that emulates the cabin sound of the amp. For me, it has the same characteristics but with the plus of being able to emulate also the SVT sound

Answer:	Well the difference between the Character series pedals and the Character series DI is that it's a DI box. Which is to say, it has an XLR output for mic cables to go directly into a sound board or recording interface, and the regular Character series pedals do not. It sounds good as a dirt pedal, that's not how I typically use it but the gain on it is very versatile.
Question:	Can a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus power this
Answer:	of course it will.but you may need to use one of the two the 250mA output instead of one of the four 100mA output.i use standard 9v power (cheap model about 10$) or 9v battery and it works well.but the best is to use XLR connection with phantom power (directly connected to your mixing console), so you don't need any battery or power supply.

Answer:	Yes, am almost sure you can use every plug-in within this bundle. All should work fine as VST's. Check that they are all 64-bit or if not, that your version of Prosonus Studio One supports 32-bit and 64-bit VST's, that is only issue that I can think of, but nearly sure all will work fine. Is a great deal if you do not alredy have these Wave plug-ins, also Focusrite offers many other deals as well. Good luck

Answer:	A common rule of thumb is to use an Active DI with a Passive Bass and a Passive DI with an Active Bass. That allows the passive DI to handle the active bass hotter signal and the active DI to bump up the level from a passive bass.

Answer:	Yes. In registering the Audiobox with Presonus you will create an account on their web site that you can download the software as many times as you want. And you can load it on multiple computers (no limit that I am aware of) since you can only use the device on one at a time. The free Studio One 4 Artist (an absolutely GREAT DAW by the way) can be activated on up to five different computers. (You can also deactivate them on a computer as well to keep your activations down to five.)
