User questions & answers
Question: | Can you use the JS-10 to sing along with music song tracks |
Answer: | The JS-10 has two inputs in the front. I don't know why you couldn't use a microphone in one of the inputs and sing along with music sound tracks. I'm pretty sure you could do this. Maybe try google or Youtube with searching singing or voice into the JS-10. There might be something out there on this subject. You could also email BOSS and ask them directly. I checked the manual and the picture shows a microphone going into one of the inputs. Both inputs are listed as Guitar/Microphone. Hopefully this helps. I'm also pretty sure you could download the manual and read more on this subject. |
Question: | Does it come with all accessories? AC Adaptor, SD Card (inside JS-10 from factory). USB Cable, Owner Manual |
Answer: | If new, it comes with all the accessories you mentioned, INCLUDING the USB cable. The SD card comes installed in the unit, and it contains all the pre-recorded loops (over 300) that allow you to practice and play along with the unit alone. Besides that, the unit allows for the e-Band software installation on both PCs and MACs, but I'm not sure if this content is stored on the SD Card, it seems to be installed in the internal flash storage of the unit. The software allows you to manage the content and to include your own content in the unit, as well as retrieve your recordings from there. |
Question: | Can the js10 be hooked through my fender guitar amp |
Answer: | Hi! It does have right/left RCA audio outputs. I use a RCA to 1/4" plug to send sound to my amp. I don't think it's stage quality sound at that point but does the job for practicing. |
Question: | Does it have the ability to download additional backing tracks that aren't already pre-loaded on it? Will firmware/software upgrades be available |
Answer: | Yes. The eBand has an USB interface with supplied cable to connect with your computer. Also supplied is the necessary software, "eBand Song List Editor" for downloading "tunes" in MP3-format. Think of the eBand JS-10 as a special purpose computer for Music. Alternatively, you can download backing tracks or any media in MP3 format to a flash drive and plug the flash drive into a USB slot on the eBand. Final Comment: I love this "box". It's kinda of like a boom box but better. It's designed for musicians |

eBand JS-10 Audio Player with Guitar Effects
Grab your guitar or bass and microphone, plug into the new eBand from BOSS, and amaze your friends, family, and fans! The eBand JS-10 is self contained and small, but fills the room with full-range sound from its 2.1 sound system and pro BOSS effects. Jam with a large selection of onboard song tracks and audio loops, and add your own library of favorite songs to play along with via USB or SD media. You can easily change the tempo and key signature of the songs with high-quality results, and record your performances, too. eBand is the compact, all-in-one jam station packed with pro features and larger-than-life sound.
Great Practice Tool
With the eBand JS-10, you can jam along with your favorite songs, and freely change the tempo and key with high-quality results. You can also loop and repeat sections of a song, and slow down the fast parts to analyze, learn, and play along. eBand’s dual input channels are also an excellent learning tool. For example, a guitar teacher and student can connect their instruments to one eBand; the teacher demonstrates or quickly records a riff or solo using a built-in backing track, and then the student repeats the performance for the teacher using the same track. It’s a convenient, effective, and fun method for learning!
Powerful 2.1 Sound, plus Two Input Channels with Individual FX Paths
The eBand JS-10 is compact and travel friendly, but its performance is huge. An innovative onboard 2.1 speaker system provides rich, full-frequency sound for song playback and the built-in effects and COSMamps, with deep bass that can shake the room.
Two independent input channels are provided, each with its own effect and COSM amp paths. You can plug in any dual combination of guitar, bass, and/or microphone, ideal for duet jam sessions as well as teacher/student music lessons.
Enhanced Sound Library
The eBand JS-10 is packed with cool new play-along tracks, including over 350 audio loops for jamming and 50 new songs. The selection is wider with new variations of instrument combinations, including “minus-one” audio for bass, two guitars, and guitar and bass. Your favorite MP3s and WAV files can be played back directly from a USB key, or imported into the JS-10 from a computer via USB. In addition, you can record your live performance with effects along with the songs into the JS-10.
Pro BOSS Effects Onboard
Get creative with the awesome BOSS effects and COSM amps built into the eBand JS-10 — equivalent in quality to the flagship GT-100 — plus cool extras such as direct recording and Center Cancel for “minus-one” play-along sessions.

User questions & answers
Question: | How does this compare with boss fz-2 hyper fuzz |
Answer: | Can't really tell you. I bought this one to replace my 1970's Big Muff that finally died. |
Question: | Does the pedal vary the fuzz or is it just on/off fuzz switch |
Answer: | It's an on/off Fuzz Switch |
Question: | What is the difference between the fz-5 and the fz |
Answer: | The FZ-5 uses COSM modeling to emulate a Fuzz Face, Octavia and Maestro fuzz boxes. I love mine. Just a very different sound from a distortion or an overdrive. You can read my rather lengthy review of the FZ-5 here on Amazon. |
Question: | does this have a lot of sustain, like the Electro Harmonix Big Muff |
Answer: | Yes the FZ-5 is a fuzz pedal similar to a Big Muff, maybe a bit more contained and tame but provides loads of sustain. |

Question: | Can this pedal make a clean amp go heavy |

Question: | As a boost, does the sd-1 do a good job to tighten things up? for rythm playing especially |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this product easy to use |
Answer: | This is by far the easiest and most trusted name in the industry. I am a professional gigging musician and have used Boss pedals all my life. This Flanger has a nice sweet which does not distort while sweeping low the low range sound register. Highly recommend this with a Boss DD3 delay pedal. Cheers and happy playing |
Question: | can you have two outputs? as in each one going to a different chorus pedal from a single input |
Answer: | Hi Bruce, I tried it and it didn't work out for me. I ran a cable from from each output on the BF-3, one into a chorus pedal and one to a delay pedal then plugged my guitar and out to the amp. I couldn't find a way to complete the loop unless there was some sort of a Y adapter which I don't have. Sorry I wasn't much help, Loyal |
Question: | Is this pedal true by-pass |
Answer: | To my knowledge, Boss does not make true bypass pedals & I don't know why. Currently I only own 2 Boss pedals: DD-7 Delay & TU-2 Tuner. Boss would do well to charge about $25 more for they're pedals & make them all true bypass. |
Question: | Does this come with power supply or batteries? or will i need to purchase an a/c adapter |
Answer: | Mine did not come with either. I power it and all my other paddles with the voodoo labs power Braque. Love the paddle tho! |

User questions & answers
Question: | Are these things loud? Can they take me away like calgon when i want my ear drums thumping when rocking some Van Halen |
Answer: | My husband uses these to practice guitar for gigs. He streams his bands practice from his computer and plays guitar over it. The guitar can get very loud - especially with distortion or a boost effect. Streaming audio is definitely loud enough - depending on source level. You can adjust guitar level with the wheel on the headphones to get the right mix. He says they are plenty loud, comfortable, and well built. He likes them a lot. |
Question: | Will they also work as regular stereo headphones |
Answer: | Yes, you can use them as regular headphones. They sound really good that way. You just connect them via bluetooth, as you normally would, and they work well. Just bear in mind that the battery life isn't as good as your basic bluetooth headphones. My general use headphones go about 15-20 hours, these go about 4 hours. |
Question: | B. How is anything transmitted through Bluetooth considered "low latency |
Answer: | I'm guessing the Bluetooth connectivity is talking about the ability to connect your Phone to program the thing and your PC to play backing tracks. The actual wireless guitar transmitter seems to be like standard 2.4GHZ wireless guitar transmitter/receiver setup. Otherwise you are correct, these would be unusable if you were transmitting the guitar over bluetooth. |
Question: | Can i use these headphones with my bass guitar |
Answer: | Yup. You can set up different EQ profiles with the app and you customize your sound to match your preferred bass frequency. As for the compatibility, this works with any standard 1/4” instrument cable. |

Question: | This one or the combo drive??? any opinion? I play Rock and blues |
Answer: | No it it does not include a power supply. |
Question: | Does this pedal suck the highs and lows from the signal |
Answer: | The Plumes is basically a Tubescreamer with some options added (asymmetrical clipping, boost, symmetrical clipping). The EQ leans towards being bright and slightly scooped. I don't think Plumes is really fit for purpose for metal tones. In my humble opinion. Perhaps check out the EQD Tonejob plus a metal distortion pedal... |
Question: | Will the BD2 stack well if placed after a fuzz face to boost and shape the fuzz pedal's sound |
Answer: | I don't use batteries as I have a large board and use a power supply. I have tried over a dozen ODs, even boutique, and this pedal is the best. I get all the crunch gain from my Mesa, but a light OD on the clean channel is a must. You get 3 different tones with this one, and the price is stupid cheap. Their website does NOT mention battery power so I assume there is no room inside. |
Question: | Does the bd-2 have more distortion/overdrive available than a tube screamer |
Answer: | I think this is supposed to be a tube-screamer type pedal. Mine didn’t sound anything like a TS9 or 808 regardless of the settings. |

Question: | Would you say this is loud enough to play with a band |
Answer: | Plug into the wall |
Question: | Is it worth the extra money for mkii |
Answer: | This depends on the venue. For karaoke at home or in a very small room with a small crowd, it may be okay, but for large rooms or big crowds, you may want to invest in a good PA system. |
Question: | What does the power setting do |
Answer: | Comes with an AC power cord but does not come with the cord that goes from guitar to the amp. |
Question: | whats the differance between the 50 and the 50 mkII |
Answer: | Yes absolutely. It does have one speaker and makes plenty of sound for such a small amp. I use it for both my keyboard and acoustic/electric guitar... It has a standard input jack. You can also plug in a mic or headphones. It's very well made and lives up to Fender's quality. Good Luck, hope this helps! |

THE EVOLUTION OF A MODERN CLASSIC
Katana MkII takes the acclaimed Katana guitar amp series to the next level, turbocharging the core platform with more sounds, more effects, and more features. Newly voiced variations are now available for all five amp characters, doubling the tonal options. And the onboard effects categories have been expanded from three to five, providing even more real-time processing to choose from. The usability has been ramped up too, with a power amp input for modelers and multi-FX, updated editor software, and many other enhancements.
More Sounds, More Versatility
The stage-class Katana MkII lineup picks up where the first generation left off, building on the same core tones and features that have made the series such a worldwide smash. If you loved the original Katana amps, you'll love Katana MkII even more. And if you're new to the party, get ready for sound, feel, and versatility that soars far beyond its class.
Five Amp Characters, Ten Overall Tones
Katana MkII's five primary amp characters offer everything from organic vintage tones to modern high-gain sounds, plus a dedicated voice optimized for acoustic-electric guitar. The characters have now been extended with newly voiced variations, providing a wider palette of tone options to craft your personal sound.
Five Effects At Once
Katana MkII now includes five simultaneous effects categories, putting the tone-shaping power of a massive pedalboard right inside your amp. Independent Booster, Mod, FX, Delay, and Reverb sections come loaded from the factory with three variations in each, providing 15 ready-to-play effects to choose from. Connecting to BOSS Tone Studio lets you dive much deeper if you want—customize the sections with over 60 different effect types, change the order with four different chains, and much more.
Full-Throttle Sound Every Time You Plug In
Backed by BOSS's Tube Logic approach, Katana MkII delivers the authentic output distortion characteristics of genuine tube amplifiers, with the sound and feel becoming richer and more responsive as you turn up the volume. But unlike that classic tube amp, Katana MkII's variable Power Control makes it easy to fly in the sweet spot without getting fired from the gig or kicked out of the house. Just throttle back the overall volume as needed to enjoy inspiring, cranked-amp sound anywhere you play, from bedroom to stage.
Amplify Your External Gear
The Katana-50 MkII rocks as a standalone amp, but it also excels as a powered cabinet for a favorite preamp, modeler, or multi-effects unit. Connecting to the rear-panel Power Amp In jack bypasses Katana MkII's preamp and effects, letting you tap straight into the Tube Logic power section, complete with grab-and-go Power Control. And with BOSS Tone Studio, the input can be easily optimized for your particular gear with a high-pass filter and adjustable gain.
One-Touch Recall Of Custom Setups
One of the Katana-50 MkII's most powerful features is the ability to store favorite amp character and effects setups in Tone Setting memories for instant recall. After you've dialed in a sound with the panel controls, simply save it to the desired memory with a quick button hold. Four Tone Settings (two banks of two) are available, with fast selection right from the panel. It's also possible to connect external footswitches for hands-free control on the gig.
Ready-To-Mix Direct Tones
The Katana-50 MkII features USB and phones/recording outputs with mic'd cabinet emulation, letting you send mix-ready amp tones to a computer DAW or headphones. The direct sound can be shaped with three different Air Feel settings, which are accessible from BOSS Tone Studio. Two-channel USB operation is supported, allowing you to track in true stereo with many of Katana's modulation, EQ, delay, and reverb effects.
BOSS Tone Studio Enhancements
BOSS Tone Studio has also evolved alongside the Katana MkII amplifiers. The interface has been updated with a refreshed look, and a number of parameters have been consolidated into the main screen for faster workflow. There's also a dedicated Pedal FX category, making it easier to assign wah and pedal bend effects to a connected expression pedal. And if you're a first-gen Katana owner, it's possible to import your custom patches and use them all with Katana MkII.

User questions & answers
Question: | original box??? owners Manual |
Answer: | I don't remember about the box. But, it did not bring the "owners manual" and missed one knob and the internal spring!! |
Question: | Does this phase shifter sound equivilent to other pedals like the mxr phase |
Answer: | Yes the phase 90 has less controls. |
Question: | I'm looking to buy my first effect: this or the MXR M169 Carbon Copy Analog Delay. Would the delay on this pedal replace the other pedal |
Answer: | Gave the Phase Shifter to a friend of mine and can't remember the delay effect on it so I'm not much help. However, as a first pedal I'd go with Carbon Copy, or TC Electronics Flashback, either are "always on" pedals for me. Either will give you sustain - the essence of life! |
Question: | Can you please verify if the pedal is made in Japan or made in Taiwan |
Answer: | Made in Taiwan at Roxy Music |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is there an a-c adaptor available for it |
Answer: | There is not a Manufacturer Recommended power supply or AC adapter for the WL-20L. Most phone USB to Micro USB chargers will work to charge and recharge the WL-20L. |
Question: | Is the sound of my electric guitar the same with the Wl 20l as with Wl |
Answer: | The W20 has a cable emulator so it attenuated signal frequencies associated with a standard cable. This is best suited for an electric guitar with passive pickups. What I believe is that it attenuated a frequency range Bass and acoustic guitar and active pickup guitars are fine with the 20L. I haven't heard a comparison, but capacitors are used as "high pass" filters, so much guess is the capacitance usually affects higher frequencies....that might make your sound "tinny". |
Question: | Where is the boss wl-20l made? taiwan like some of their products, or china |
Answer: | Probably, but I believe Boss is very particular they are made to tight specifications. Plus Boss' support is great if there's an issue. I love visiting Boss and Winter NAMM every year. |
Question: | Does this work with EMG active pickup |
Answer: | YES |
