12 best microphone systems with integrated

Microphone systems with integrated wireless lavalier microphones offer a convenient and hands-free solution for various applications, including public speaking, presentations, interviews, and performances. Here are key aspects to consider:

  1. Wireless Technology: Integrated microphone systems typically utilize wireless technology, allowing users to move freely without being constrained by cables. Look for systems with reliable and interference-resistant wireless connectivity.

  2. Lavalier Microphones: These systems often come with lavalier microphones, which are small, clip-on microphones that can be attached to clothing. Lavalier mics are excellent for hands-free operation and are commonly used by speakers, presenters, and performers.

  3. Receiver Unit: The system includes a receiver unit that wirelessly connects to the lavalier microphone. The receiver is responsible for capturing the audio signal and transmitting it to the sound system or recording device.

  4. Transmitter Unit: The lavalier microphone is typically connected to a transmitter unit, which wirelessly sends the audio signal to the receiver. The transmitter may be built into the microphone or attached separately.

  5. Frequency Range: Check the frequency range of the microphone system to ensure compatibility with other audio equipment. Some systems offer adjustable frequency options to avoid interference in crowded RF environments.

  6. Ease of Use: Integrated microphone systems are designed for ease of use. Look for systems with simple controls, clear displays, and user-friendly interfaces. This is particularly important for individuals who may not have extensive technical expertise.

  7. Battery Life: Consider the battery life of both the lavalier microphone and the transmitter unit. Adequate battery life is crucial, especially for extended events or performances.

  8. Range: Evaluate the operating range of the wireless microphone system. A good system should provide a reliable signal transmission over a reasonable distance, allowing the user to move freely within the performance space.

  9. Compatibility: Ensure that the microphone system is compatible with the audio equipment you plan to use, such as mixers, amplifiers, or recording devices.Check for the availability of appropriate output connectors.

  10. Build Quality and Durability: Look for microphone systems with robust build quality to withstand regular use. Durability is crucial, especially for equipment that may be used in different environments.

  11. Portability and Storage: Consider the portability of the system, especially if it needs to be transported frequently. Some systems come with carrying cases for convenient storage and transportation.

  12. Additional Features: Some integrated microphone systems offer additional features such as adjustable gain, mute functions, and different frequency presets. Assess whether these features align with your specific needs.

Integrated wireless lavalier microphone systems are valuable tools for professionals who require hands-free operation and mobility during presentations or performances. By considering the factors mentioned above, you can choose a system that meets your requirements and provides reliable and high-quality audio.

User questions & answers

Question: will it work if i connect the receiver to a speaker
Answer: It may or may not have enough gain. It should work with an amplified speaker having a microphone (or guitar) input.
Question: Is this product good quality for DSLR video recording
Answer: The product is a good quality; however it is a bit more sensitive to background noises; the volume buttons on product don't seem to have much effect, cured this problem with built-in volume controls on camera... hope this was helpful.
Question: Is there any way to hook up this product to the computer to be able to record in Camtasia
Answer: If you don't have Line In on your computer, you might be using a modern Mac. I use iMic for this purpose, which allows for Line In and Microphone In. I simply plug the Line Out on the WMIC50 receiver into the iMic Mic port, switch the iMic to Mic, and select the iMic sound source on the Mac, or in your video recording software.
Question: Can I pair more than one mic to the receiver
Answer: I don't believe that's possible. Ask the manufacturer, though. I did not find the Movo wireless mic sturdy enough to hold up to my professional usage. The switch got a short in it and I returned the product and moved up to the Rode moviemaker kit. I can also highly recommend the chapstick size Canon wireless mic that I have used for several years. I put it on a lanyard to put around people's necks Less resistance to normal people who aren't used to being miced up.

User questions & answers

Question: Does the wmic50 and wmic60 have different frequencies? can i use them together
Answer: If you get the handheld and lab mic kit they can only be used one at a time as there is only one mic input.
Question: Can the camera shoe mount be removed from the receiver without damaging the unit
Answer: Yes
Question: Does this product work with canon eos t
Answer: From what i understand, is that it can connect to the canon eos t5, and works.
Question: which video camcorders does it work with
Answer: It will work on all cam recorders. If the input plug to your own camcorder is different to a 2.5 mini jack then you may have to buy a converter plug for a few $. No big deal.

Shure BETA 98H/C Clip-On Cardioid Condenser Microphone for Sax/Brass with Integrated Shock Mount and Attached Preamplifier (XLR)

Shure

Based on 64 reviews Check latest price

Product description

The BETA 98H/C and the wireless version WB98H/C are premium cardioid condenser instrument microphones that clamp onto the bell of wind instruments or onto the rim of percussion instruments. The integrated gooseneck and ratcheting swivel joint allows the mic to be easily positioned and secured, and an isolation shock-mount reduces the transmission of instrument 'key noise' and other mechanical noise. A gooseneck angle brace is included to provide better retention of the microphone placement during more active performances.

The Beta 98H/C premium cardioid condenser instrument microphone that clamps onto the bell of wind instruments or onto the rim of percussion instruments, and its transformerless preamplifier circuitry improves linearity across the full frequency range. The pickup pattern of the BETA 98H/C provides high gain-before-feedback and excellent rejection of unwanted noise. Its high maximum sound pressure level (SPL) enables it to handle the extreme demands of brass, woodwind and percussion instruments.

The clip-on Shure Beta 98H/C instrument microphone.
The integrated gooseneck and ratcheting swivel joint allows the mic to be easily positioned and secured, and an isolation shock-mount reduces the transmission of instrument "key noise" and other mechanical noise. A gooseneck angle brace is included to provide better retention of the microphone placement during more active performances.

Key Features

  • Transformerless preamplifier circuitry that improves linearity across the full frequency range.
  • Pickup pattern provides high gain-before-feedback and excellent rejection of unwanted noise.
  • High maximum sound pressure level (SPL) enables it to handle the extreme demands of brass, woodwind and percussion instruments.
  • 10-foot high-flex cable with attached preamplifier (XLR connection)
  • Tailored frequency response for open, natural sound reproduction
  • Compact, lightweight construction provides a low degree of visibility
  • Gooseneck, ratcheting swivel joint and gooseneck angle brace allow for optimum placement and fixed positioning

Applications and Placement

The most common BETA 98H/C applications and placement techniques are described below. Keep in mind that microphone technique is largely a matter of personal taste; there is no one "correct" microphone position.

  • Saxophone Placement: Clamp the microphone onto the bell of the saxophone, so the microphone is a few inches from and facing into the bell. This will produce a bright tonal balance while minimizing feedback and leakage.
  • Soprano Saxophone Placement: Clamp the microphone onto the bell of the saxophone and adjust the gooseneck so the microphone is facing the keys of the instrument, a few inches from the lower keys. This will produce a warm and full tonal balance. For a brighter tone, adjust the gooseneck so the microphone is facing into the bell, a few inches away.
  • Trombone Placement: Clamp the microphone onto the bell of the trombone and adjust the gooseneck so the microphone is facing directly into the bell, a few inches away. This will produce a bright tonal balance while providing maximum isolation.
  • Trumpet Placement: Clamp the microphone onto the bell of the trumpet and adjust the gooseneck so the microphone is facing directly into the bell, a few inches away. This will produce a bright tonal balance while providing maximum isolation.
  • Drum Placement: Clamp the microphone onto the drum rim and adjust the gooseneck so the microphone is aiming a few inches above the drum head and an inch from the rim. This provides a full tonal balance.

User questions & answers

Question: Can i use this with the xls1 wireless bodypack
Answer: very big and large.
Question: Can i use this with the xls1 wireless bodypack
Answer: Hello Conrad!~ I consider these to be among some of my most comfortable headphones. Less vise-like than the Sennheiser's and less bulky than HiFiMan.. The only cans I own that are more comfy are some nice Beyerdynamic DT-990's that are so light and comfy I sometimes forget I am wearing them. Honestly, you can't go wrong with these Shure cans. They are very detailed and extremely pleasing to the ear.As is common these days, these are made in the PRC.... (my Sennheiser's were made in Ireland and my Beyerdynamic's were made in Germany)Cheers! Marty G
Question: Is the cable connector a mini xlr? Or is it a Shure 4 pin propeitory connector. I'm asking because I have phantom pwr supply with jacks ffor mini xlr
Answer: First and foremost these are meant for professional use in a studio. For that application it's dry, neutral, bass light nature works well. For just casual listening not so much. For that I highly recommend the fostex th-600, Audeze lcd-2, or if you are into neutral hifiman he-500. If you are going to using these in a professional aspect let me know and I will think about an amp that matches up well with it. I can also be found at head-fi.org under the handle jibzilla. I hoped this helped some.
Question: Is the preamp included with the microphone

User questions & answers

Question: Can two of these microphones work on the same frequency with only one transmitter? And why it doesn't comes with a transmitter
Answer: This receiver/transmitter needs to be hooked up to an amplifier. The wireless mics send a signal to the receiver/transmitter, which is connected via 1/4" plug in connector. If you want to just transmit thru a radio, there are wireless mics out there that connect thru an fm frequency, but quality is poor. If you go to your local radio shack or music store, someone will be able to show you how the mics hook up.
Question: Can two of these microphones work on the same frequency with only one transmitter? And why it doesn't comes with a transmitter
Answer: Hi Debbie, Thank you for your interest in this product. This is a 2 ch set. You could get multiple mics on the same channel. There are ch B&D and ch P&R. Your mics have to match the base, though. So you could have 2 Bs and 2 Ds or 2 Ps and 2 Rs. But the 2 would only have one volume knob to control each set. If you need 4 separate channels, each with individual control, then yes, you need a B&D ch with a B&D base and P&R ch with a P&R base.In short YES you could use both you will just have to make sure that the mic's are paired to the right receiver. I hope this was helpful. Thanks, Ray James

Question: is the handheld microphone compatible with rode link receiver
Answer: No
Question: will this work on an iphone and ipad
Answer: Hi charles, not sure I understand the question. This product was primarily designed for (dslr) videographers with the receiver being connected to the camera mic in and the transmitter being connected to the talents. Unless their is an app that can convert the headphone part on the iPhone or iPad into a microphone input so as to record sound, I can't say how,it can work. Sorry.
