Answer:	Best qualities of the Videomic Go: Small, no battery (powered from the camera), easy to transport. Best qualities of the Rode Videomic over the Videomic Go: Battery powered (better range), high pass filter, PAD switch (for reducing sensitivity on louder recordings). Not having a battery can be nice (using the GO), but the camera you use has to be able to power over the 1/8" mic input. The high pass filter and PAD switch are nice on the Videomic, but not always necessary. If you don't think you'll need them, then the Videomic GO is the way to go.

Answer:	Yes, this is a large diaphragm condenser microphone. The "large diaphragm" refers to the circular surface that you see behind the mesh screen of the mic. Large means a larger circular surface as opposed to a smaller circular surface. When you sing, rap, play instrument, etc. in front of the mic, the sound that you generate vibrates against the diaphragm creating the electronic signal that is transferred through the mic into your recorder or PA system (in live performances; although generally condenser mics are preferred in the studio while dynamic mics are preferred for live performances due to the sensitivity of condenser mics to loud sounds, i.e., live performances). The size of the diaphragm (in this case large) affects the clarity, volume, EQ, and general signal quality that you get. Large diaphragm microphones (LDMs) are generally the choice for studio vocals, and any instrument recording where a more "deep" sound is desired. A large diaphragm microphone generally warms up the sound of what it's recording, which also leads to the myth that most LDMs reproduce low frequencies better than small diaphragm mics; this isn't true, in fact, small diaphragm mics are much better at reproducing everything evenly, including bass. You'll want a pop screen if using a condenser microphone for vocals; they're so sensitive to transient noises that the "P" and "SH" sounds you make will cause distortion. Answer:	Probably not. The HEOS bar has its own DSP to decode the audio into left,right and center channels. You have no way to tell the bar to just process center channels. If you send it a center channel signal from an AVR then it may or may not process that into the center channel. It would be an expensive center channel anyway so I would look for a simpler solution.

Answer:	You can plug a headphone into it and listen to your mobile device. You cannot hear when you are recording with the mic, to check sound levels, you have to play it back when you are done recording.

Answer:	I'm not certain, I have a "7" and it works fine on my iPhone. The specific detail is the distance between the insert that goes into the headphone opening...does the 8+ have a headphone jack? If so it will likely work.

Answer:	My guess is without being able to control the gain (lowering the input level) you will likely get clipping. You need a way to monitor the levels and lower if necessary. It is though all relevant to the volume levels at the concerts and how close you are to the speaker.
Question:	Will this work on my iphone 6 with the lifeproof case? this case needs an adapter to plug in the headphones so can't mount to case. please help
Answer:	Get a smartphone holder mount (looks like a selfie stick holder that holds the phone) and glue a cold shoe mount to it, then you will able to attach the mic to your phone... I'm not sure about your adapter headphone problem

Answer:	No issues. It will improve the audio immensely. Experiment on whether to use setting 1, 2, or 3 for mic level in camera will suit your needs. I go to the zoom h1 for recording but you can go to the camera direct.

Answer:	It is not the stereo mic it records the same. Rhode does make a stereo mic as well.

Answer:	It's an incredible vocal mic, very nice bass, so it should really shine for rap vocals. Make sure to use a pop filter.

Answer:	A new one comes in a box with a zipper pouch and the screw-on plastic piece that is used to mount it on a mic stand. It does not come with a shock mount. It's a really well-built sturdy mic that sounds great!
Question:	What else do you need to operate this mic like a phantom power dac or something like that
Answer:	Hi Kari,You just need some piece of equipment with phantom power and a mic preamp built into it. That could be a recording interface for your computer, a mixer, a standalone preamp, or a recorder. Most modern interfaces and recorders have phantom power and mic preamps built into them.
