Each frequency band of the BLX can run numerous transmitters at the same time without interfering with each other. If you also happen to have the BLX14/CVL, you can also purchase the BLX288/PG58 in the same frequency band so that you can have back up transmitters/receivers in case any of them fail.

Question:	This Shure Super 55 Deluxe Vocal Mic is ~$60 more than the Shure 55SH Series II Iconic Unidyne Vocal Mic. Anyone own both? What makes it worth more
Answer:	My friend has the 55SH series 2 and I have 55 deluxe. After trying his I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to buy one of my own. I went with the 55 deluxe because since it has a beta 58 capsule as opposed to an old SM48 capsule it gives you higher gain before feedback. the frequency response is also more desirable having 60 Hertz to 17,000 vs. 50 Hertz to 15,000. So it's brighter and attenuates more of the low end that you really don't want to have on a vocal anyway. However both of the microphones do have different sounds and if you're after more of a lo-fi I sound the 55SH would be a better option but if you want a really awesome sounding one that is more up do date with todays technology get the 55 deluxe.

Answer:	They have different purposes but both sound wonderful. Hardware processing can help for streaming to have gate/compression without lag, so the sensitivity of the StellarX2 being a little higher won't matter as much. Shure feels a little darker in its tone - "podcast voice" - where this captures a brighter and livelier sound to my ear.

Answer:	would not work for ps4 slim, not recognized. Until I rebooted the ps4 with the mic plugged in. evidently some kind of driver or config is adjusted, as it is now recognized and works.

Answer:	It's a USB Only microphone. If USB real estate is at a premium on your PC, buy an External USB Port Hub. I bought one, takes one of the 3 USBs my laptop has, gives me 8 additional.
Question:	For singing videos, is it better to have the iCE or the regular Snowball
Answer:	From what I've heard, the snowball does actually sound quite reasonably better. I suppose it'll have to be because of a number of reasons, 1 being that there's a $10-20 diffrence, and that this is marketed as a "Skype mic." I also believe that the blue snowball has wider diversity in colour. The blue snowball also features 3 different "modes" or polar patterns.First being a cardiod setting, a standard pickup pattern in most condenser mics, very handy. Mainly picks out sound in a heart shaped radius in front of the mic. Second setting is a cardiod, 10db pad. Good for loud sources, getting up close to the talent. The third and final setting is the omnidirectional setting. "Omni" meaning more than one, in this instance more than one direction. In this setting, the mic will pic up sound from all directions.doing so will loose some sound quality but maybe useful for recording a board meeting. Overall the blue snowball iCE is a great, compact usb microphone, for the tight budget market, or in other words a blue snowball, minus a few features and cheaper sound quality.

Answer:	This included plug seems highly problematic, as this is a condenser microphone that according to others, requires phantom power, which is in general 48V, and looking at what is in the picture I don’t see where the power would go in. Maybe the included USB converter is doing something? I would not plug that cable into your phone, or for that matter any other device. If you had a Digital interface that supported your phone and supported balanced (xlr) with phantom power, then yeah sure. IK Multimedia makes something like that called iRig Pro which works with Apple, sure there’s something for the rest of the world..
Question:	Before buying just want to know, Is this a usb microphone
Answer:	In short: no. This is an XLR condenser mic which needs to be connected to either a powered mixer or a proper usb audio interface with phantom power. Neither the included cable or the USB audio dongle included are going to work properly. I have no idea why they didn't just omit those things and include a normal mic cable. People complaining about the low volume level of the mic are undoubtedly trying to use it as provided, which is not a proper setup. You'll need an XLR to XLR cable and something like a Focusrite Scarlet or other USB audio interface in order to use this mic properly.

Answer:	This microphone has it's own mount, that provides slight separation from any vibration noise. There is no elastic suspension "shock mount" available for this unit - but is a very rugged mic that can take a beating. Any decent stand will do... but because the SM7B is fairly heavy, I'd advise if your going to hang it off a boom stand, I'd find a sturdy one with a decent counter weight. I use an Atlas Sound MS20E Heavy Duty Microphone Stand or the On Stage SMS7650 Hex-Base Studio Boom Microphone Stand.
Question:	Do you need a mixamp/preamp/mixer/audio interface to use this microphone on a PC or is it optional
Answer:	The question is specifically asking about using this mic with a PC, and although it's a 6 year old question, it still needs to be flooded with correct answers to hide the bad one inexplicably found at the top, even though its Yes:No helpfulness ratio is atrocious and is neither the newest nor the oldest answer. This absolutely needs an interface to be used with a PC. A lot of these answers are going on about the preamp, but regardless of how you get power to this thing--whether it be preamps onboard your interface or whatnot--you will absolutely need some sort of interface to, well, interface with your computer. Whether it be USB, Firewire, Thunderbolt, or PCIe, you will 1000% need a way to get the signal into your PC. That aside, you will definitely want good way to drive it given its output level.
Question:	Is this the mic Marc Maron uses on the show for podcasting
Answer:	Per Marc Maron on a mic website "In the garage I use two Shure SM7s into a Samson MDR6 mixer into Garage Band on my mac. On the road I use a Zoom H4n and two Blue Encore 100 mics." However, the SM7B is a great broadcast mic. I use it for studio vocals. Hope this helps.
Question:	How does the shure sm7b compare to the blue yeti pro
Answer:	I use the Shure SM7b for all of my voiceover and singing recording. The Blue Yeti Pro doesn't even place when compared in all honestly. The Blue Yeti Pro has a WAY higher noise floor, and sounds muddy and slightly muffled when comparing the two back to back. And I see a lot of people saying, "A cloudlifter won't help," and I can say from first-hand experience, that this isn't true. Personally I recommend picking up a Fethead, or an sE Electronics DM1, however, all three do the same thing, but some cost more than others, (I'm using the DM1, and I've been very happy with my purchase.) Originally I was using a Focusrite Scarlet Solo, 2nd Gen, and my audio was clean. Any mic activators helps bring this mic up to great levels without getting any pre-amp noise. I've since upgraded to an Audient ID4, and my audio is super clean. I don't get any noise from the mic, pre-amp, or the interface. That being said, the SM7b is more expensive, but even despite this, I definitely recommend the SM7b over Blue Yeti Pro any day.
