Answer:	The seller can tell you for sure, but I don't think so. I use it with an older ipad (standard size, not the mini). They included two different sets of the brackets, but the X frame slots only allow it to extend out so far. You could use a thin bungee or bongo cords to secure it because the brackets have plently of room to do that if they are secured to the sides of the ipad in its vertical position. Hope this helps!

Answer:	No, it will not hold a 12.2 inch tablet. I tried it with a Galaxay TabPro 12.2; and as expected it did not fit. I knew that from the reviews. It works perfectly with a Galaxy Tab S 10.5.

Answer:	Check the instructions; slip the nut over the ball, squeeze the ball into the threaded sleeve (it requires a little pressure), then tighten down the nut on the threads. It works great. I use it with a heavy case on my iPad.

Answer:	I wouldn't trust it with anything of value unless you modify the ball joint so it actually stays in the socket and can be tightened.
Question:	How much room (front to back) is there in the bottom 2 holders? I have the older version, but it’s too big for the iPad Air and it fell out and broke
Answer:	It doesn't have much room, and the ball will pop out of the socket. I used my dremel tool with a cutting disc to cut a slot half way through the ball, the screwed in a small wide wood screw to spread the ball wider. Now it holds tightly and doesn't pop out. But there's still a limit to space if tilted too flat. But its usable. The ball socket was the biggest problem and repeated tries to contact hercules was useless. All you get was the auto reply then nothing.

Question:	Can anyone recommend a protective case for a musician? They all seem to have a folding cover, and I'm not sure which will actually fit with this clamp
Answer:	This clamp folds up pretty good or you can disassemble it and put it in your “gig bag” or travel bag. I don’t use a case and it’s traveled all over the world with me. No problems with it at all.
Question:	Can I used this with iPad Pro which is 12.9 inches
Answer:	Yes, works perfectly with my iPad Pro 12.9 2017. However, it will not fit the iPad with a case. It will only fit for landscape mode. Yes, you can swivel it to portrait mode, but there is a greater chance of an accident since there is no holder on the bottom. Still, the grip is good that I’d trust it in portrait mode.

Question:	I've read various comments about otter box cases. Anyone have firsthand knowledge if an iPad in this type of case will or will not fit
Answer:	I use my iPad 10.1 without a case which has plenty of room to spare. Not sure while in your otter box if it could fit? Maybe you could go to a store ( music ) somewhere where they sell them if possible, and see if it fits before buying? If not available, u can always return it.
Question:	how does it swivle 360 degrees
Answer:	The mount is held in place with a “nut” that is threaded to loosen and tighten for adjustments. When it is loosened, the mount can be turned infinitely in the flat plane of the iPad. Once it is positioned, the nut can be tighten do to hold it in place. The mount, itself, also swivels similarly from the point at which it is inserted into the stand, and tightens similarly, although not quite 360 degrees because the stand, itself, impedes some movement.
Question:	What is the minimum tube diameter to which it can clamp securely? Some music stands have smaller diameter tubes than mic stands
Answer:	As you can see in the original picture I included in my original posting, I have my clamp with the extension clamp on the internal tube of the mic stand which has a 21 mm (13/16") OD. I tried it on a smaller diameter music stand (cheepie) and it clamped fine. it was 16 mm (9/16") OD. It will go smaller than 16 mm, but it would depend on sturdy the entire stand is. Hope this helps.
Question:	Will this fit a 12.2 in tablet? There are contradictory numbers listed one says 9-11.5 the other says the max is 15. Thanks
Answer:	There are three ways to fit a tablet into this holder: From the short sides, from the long sides, and from the corners. Holding the tablet's corners is the safest and probably intended way, and it holds our Amazon Fire HD 10" tablets fine, but at about the largest it can adjust. What I can tell you is that it may hold your 12.2" tablet from the short sides (spanning the length of the long sides to do so), but it will definitely hold it from the long sides (spanning the short sides). There was a "Hola!" brand version of this that came with replaceable, larger gripping arms, and that would definitely fit the larger tablet in question.
