Answer:	You can layer 8 sounds, but that gets a bit muddy.... I've had success layering 3 guitar sounds to make it fuller, 2 organ sounds, trumpet with a sax for lead... 4 brass instruments for a quartet type sound... a deep drum and a bass guitar is nice.... using the XF you had to erase a riff to layer instruments... with the MODX you can make up a name and save it to the memory... guitars have been improved compared to the XF, also organs.... strings, drum kits, harmonicas, pianos, horns are pretty much the same as the XF, the big development of the MODX is the arpeggio's with layered instruments and sound effects... a lot of movie soundtracks such as Stranger Things are done with the MODX... it is awesome in this category of interesting sounds and arpeggios... limitless really...

Answer:	This should work with any quarter inch out from the keyboard into the amp. Try the headphone jack.

Answer:	Home use, you can run mono Left line to any keyboard amp/combo(Roland KC550) or even guitar combo(Fender Twin) depending on setting and desired sound. For a smaller sound & footprint, a Roland cube combo will suffice. Anything smaller simply use the headphones output. For professional live application simply run 1/4” TS from Main out Left & Right to a radial stereo di(or two single direct boxes)that is sent to house monitors.

Answer:	First of all the other answers are misleading. The Korg Krome does not have defects and problems, this is a flat out lie. You can check many consumer sights as well as tech site reviews to verify the statement is inaccurate. Further, when you have problematic defective products/issues, it must be listed in the report to investors and again, no such statement exists. Secondly comparing the Modx and Korg Pa4X to this is not a good comparison. The Pa4x is a top of the line arranger keyboard, the MoDX7 is a mid line synth. They are very different and serve different needs of players. Lastly, if you want to compare the Pa4x to its true competitor that would be the Yamaha Genos and Yamaha Tyros 5. To your question, the closest competitor is the Korg Krome. It has a newly released version that has plenty of you tube videos comparing the two. I suggest you watch those, figure out what your needs are and make your choice based upon the research you do. Roland doesn't have anything really close here in this category, some would say the Juno Gi others may say the FA series, both arguments have merit and detractors. Perhaps another consideration would be a previous generation keyboard. The Korg M3 as an example is a full workstation prior to the Kronos. I bring it up because you can a find one fully loaded with the expanded memory and radias expansion for the same price, maybe even cheaper than the Yamaha MoDx. You also want to consider the Yamaha Motif XS, the workstation prior to the Montage which is what the MOdx is based upon. The Motif XS will likely be priced higher though. Just some food for thought.

That means that, unlike models that model digital synthesizers, it doesn't come with a 'bank' of 'voices' - which a digital synthesizer. The Yamaha Reface DX models a popular DIGITAL synthesizer and has this feature. If you create sounds on the CS, there is a way to store the settings, but the only 'software' they have come up with to use this needs access to a website.

Question:	Can you record an audio wave fie to a USB stick with out any other external devices? I have a Yamaha CP50 that allows this and use it all the time. Appreciate any feedback
Answer:	As far as I know, Yamaha branded products are made in 1 of three factories, all located in Shizuoka, Japan. I will say this is a solid, well constructed keyboard, very much up to Yamaha's standards.
Question:	Does this come with a bag
Answer:	Certainly does - go to the function menu and adjust it that way.
Question:	Can you split the keyboard into 4 individual sections,to play 4 different sounds
Answer:	You have to load the styles from the USB stick into style slots 221-230 first then they can be played by the keyboard.
Question:	Does keyboard have the ability to save layered sounds & split points I create in presets that are accessible on the fly or with pressing one button
