Question:	Can this be used as a midi controller
Answer:	Yes you can. It has MIDI IN also MIDI via USB. So you can hook any keyboard with MIDI OUT into it or to use the USB MIDI In, then you would hook both to a computer and play it that way.

Answer:	This is analog synthesizer and it doesn't have a sequencer or recorder built in. The purpose is to generate monophonic sounds. You can connect an external sequencer and control the MS20 via MIDI. It is quite bewildering for an absolute beginner.
Question:	how do i get this to work with Abelton ? do i need a midi interface
Answer:	you connect the different modules together, often in interesting ways. For example...a sine wave oscillator can be used to make a pure tone, OR you can slow it WAY down and use the patch cord to control an audio filter to make an undulating wah-wah tone. You don't hear the sine wave, you use it to control some other function. This was Moog's original innovation and is used time and time again in modular synthesizers (and in digital ones, but the connection is less obvious when you're just adjusting parameters on a screen).

Question:	Which one is better? The Sub Phatty or the Little Phatty Stage II? The Little Phatty Stage II costs more but the Sub Phatty has better reviews
Answer:	The Sub Phatty is knobbier and, IMHO, richer-sounding, but it has a smaller keyboard, fewer presets, and a bunch of functions hidden behind Shift Mode. In my opinion, your best bet would probably be the Moog Sub 37. It uses the same synth engine as the Sub Phatty, has a 37-key keyboard, and has knobs for most or all of the aforementioned hidden functionality. If you don't need copious presets, it's basically the best of both worlds.
Question:	does this work well as a lead as well? Can you make it sing with some high-notes
Answer:	That's a negative! From Sound on Sound:"However, the pitch range lies only between MIDI Notes 0 and 72 (the 'C' an octave above middle 'C') and this is such a strict limit that you can't offset the pitch, detune VCO2 higher, or even pitch bend above this."Basically it only goes up C4.
Question:	Can you use a bass guitar with the Moog Minitaur Bass Table Top Synthesizer
Answer:	You should check out a Boss SYB-5 Bass Synthesizer or an Electro-Harmonix Bass Synthesizer. I own both and prefer the Electro-Harmonix Bass Synthesizer since it is an analog bass synthesizer effect box. If you want some added low end, you also check out a DOD Meat Box. They have been reissued in a "vintage" housing despite being a 1990s stompbox. I have used an original since they first came out and really liked it as cheap effect, but I cannot attest to the reissue's sound. I do own a Moog Minitaur and it is an instrument with an audio input. You also likely need a sequencer or some other controller to play a bass guitar through it and get dynamic effects. However, the depths this synth trolls on its own will make you forget about your bass guitar.
Question:	Which synth is better for lead tones, the Korg MS-20 Mini or the Moog Sub Phatty
Answer:	Hi, Cullen ~This all depends on what style or inclinations You have. Personally, I prefer the Moog Sub Phatty (why I use one in mi rig) because I can get very hefty frequency modulated sounds (LFO goes to audio rate) and have the ability to recall settings (by programming and saving Presets). Also, the Moog has a happier sentiment to mi ears. Of course, the MS-20 Mini or Full Size Kit - I have both in stock by the way - is very complimentary and sounds so different from the Moog, thanks to its Bandpass Filter topology (jumper selectable on the full size kit. Read: "Two types of filter are provided: both the early and later versionsThe original MS-20 used different VCF circuits depending on the date of production. Units produced in the earlier period used a filter noted for its distinctive distortion and self-oscillation, while the filter used in later units was a low-noise design with a more mellow character. Amazingly, this new MS-20 Kit provides both filters. You can switch between the two by moving a jumper pin on the circuit board according to your taste or needs.") That being said, I think a synthesist can certainly justify owning both. Really just up to operator preference (Allow Your ears to decide) if You must choose one. So if You like High pass filter sounds, go with the MS, and if You want the weightiest, roundest tones, go with the Moog. Question:	how are the keys? size and response
Answer:	The keys are soft and a little smaller than traditional keys but they have a very good sound quality. The response time is immediate with very well defined tones.
Question:	Can one use this in Europe or does one need a power adopter
Answer:	The Synthesizer can be used with 6 AA batteries (included in the package). If you want to run it on electricity you can use the power adapter that also comes with this unit. Unfortunately, I bought this for someone else and did not check to see if the input of the adapter is in the 110 V ~ 220 V range. It probably is, given that most laptops come with power adapters that accept either 110 V or 220 V. But you certainly need an American to European plug adapter to fit the wall socket.

Answer:	I'm not an electrical engineer, so I stick with what the manual calls for, or it might void the warranty if you need one.

Answer:	There is no power supply included. It comes packaged with an Ableton Lite product key which you can register with the site and download the product. No CD or DVD is included.

Answer:	Go to save there u can specify how it is saved and then use the ad card to retrieve the tracks.. Check the docs

Answer:	I wouldn't classify it as a controller since it's very limited with what it can do. You can create sounds and upload them to Ableton (etc) and go from there. It's right in the middle of being a toy and a professional music maker. I'm no means a professional, but it's fun to use.

Answer:	It doesn't come with the stylus. I'm sure you could use a pen or stylus, but I like just using my fingers so I can hit two notes at the same time.

Answer:	Well if what you're hoping for is a dual oscilator monosynth with a delay effect, you're pretty much not going to find anything close bellow a couple hundred bucks. You can find a used microKorg, which is digital and has four voice polyphony, and has effects including delay, for a wee bit over two hundred. And if you want analog with a built in delay, I can't think of one. A cheap Behringer delay pedal might work for you though.
Question:	also what are those little yellow cords and do they come with the product
Answer:	If you have a Behringer mixer, you would have to hook this up to your mixer via an analog input- that is, either a channel strip using line-in or a stereo/mono input, or 2-track RCA input. If you have the Behringer Q302usb mixer, you can chain the Main Outs (red and white RCA jacks) to the monotron by running an RCA to 3.5 mm stereo cable or adapter from the Monotron, then run the headphone out of the monotron back to another RCA input on that same mixer with an identical cable, or to another mixers RCA 2-track in. If you have a different Behringer mixer that has 1/4" jacks, you'll need a cable to go from the Monotron to a 1/4" jack. Basically you're going to need a cable or adapter to go from the Monotron's 3.5 mm headphone out stereo jack to either another 3.5 mm jack, 1/4" jack, or RCA jacks.

Answer:	Yes. You only need a plug or can also use batteries. The sound will only come through headphones or speakers if you connect them to the monologue but you don’t need a computer

Answer:	The Korg Monologue doesn’t have a built in speaker. You will need to plug in headphones into the headphone jack to hear the sound the synth makes. The other option is to connect a speaker to the output jack on the back in the Monologue.

Answer:	You can import patches but not samples. This is a monophonic synth not a sampler. For a sampler I would recommend the Volca Sample.

Answer:	It does work as a midi controller, though I must say there are far better keyboards in this (and considerably less) price range for use as a midi controller. This is an amazing, portable monophonic synth. If you are looking for modern analogue sounds, this is it. However, the assignability of knobs is not conducive to midi controlling, and the single pitch bend slider is good for use with the on-board functions, but lacks much when used as a controller. I'd recommend this product in a heartbeat for use in the production of modern and classic analogue sounds at an affordable price. For midi controlling, however, I'd look elsewhere.

Answer:	Not sure about how many instruments, but you can almost get an infinite variety of sounds. I got dexed and I downloaded a lot of patches with it, and it's awesome...

Answer:	My volca bass came with a KA-350 power supply, which is the model referenced to use with this daisy chain. So, I would imagine that yes it would work, but I have no first hand experience with it. Good luck!

I'm sure it is possible to connect the volva sample and operate it in abelton but without knowing what you are trying to do with it I cannot provide anymore insight

Answer:	It is possible to put wav files on the SD card but these would be loaded as loops which occupy one of the four current loop channels. You couldn't make a new instrument sound with your own wav.
