Synth action is a spring and feels like a toy. Semi-weighted are springs but with weights to keep them from springing back up too quickly, but they also feel very unnatural. Fully weighted has a more natural feel, but each of the 88-keys has the same resistance and rebound. Hammer action has actual hammers and weights built into the keys, giving them the most natural feel, and if they are "graded" hammer action keyboards, the lower octaves are heavier than the higher octaves. |
