User questions & answers

Question: What is the difference between vandoren cr112 eb clarinet traditional reeds strength 2 and cr102bb
Answer: Yeah it is.. Just enough.. but I wouldn't recommend it for continual use or anything like that, maybe just a temporary grab for a head rest while either laying on the couch, bed, etc. I personally use it as a throw pillow for decoration. But please remember this is only the pillow cover being sold and an pillow is sold separately. If you plan to use it for your head at any time, definitely purchase a decent comfortable pillow filler. Makes a great difference. Hope this helped any!
Question: Where are these made
Answer: Dear,so far it is pink.If you need black, you can tell us from letter.we will print for you.Thank you
Question: Are these round or straight where the reed starts to taper
Answer: Is it the letter color
Question: Is it possible to get a refund because i play regular 3 reeds and these 3s are too thin
Answer: White and Grey.

User questions & answers

Question: How long does one cushion last and does it leave a film or stickiness on the mouthpiece when removed
Answer: These cushions last a very long time. Eventually they can wear out and/or get gross, so they should be changed after at least 6 months or so. Even still, they can last very long. They do not leave any film on the mouthpiece, and there is very minimal stickiness, that can easily be rubbed off with a little spit on your finger. The cushions can be taken off and put on again to be replaced or repositioned.
Question: Will this fit a Beechler Diamond mouthpiece
Answer: It's pretty universal I imagine they'll fit any mouthpiece as it fits my alto and tenor mouthpieces. Easily modifiable if it somehow didnt.
Question: Toothguards were recommended for my daughter's clarinet. Now which ones to get? Are the thick black ones too thick and these are better
Answer: It all depends; if she's never used guards before, I'd recommend the thinner the better, just to get used to them. I only just started using them on clarinet, and soprano, alto, and tenor saxophones because of a recommendation from a repair man, and these type work well on all of them. The color doesn't really matter other than preference. You can't really see the clear ones, and the black ones just seem to be a different color to differentiate that they are thicker. Perhaps the thicker ones might be better if your daughter has *very* sensitive teeth, but I'm fairly sure either one works well for protecting the mouthpiece (which is kind of secondary, unless you have a *really* nice mouthpiece).
Question: Are these for tenor sax
Answer: They fit well on a metal mouthpiece... almost perfect fit. All mouthpieces are a little different, so you may not get a perfect match, but even if the pad is a bit small, it will still function how it should.

User questions & answers

Question: Is the sound a little darker and warmer than that he v12 reeds
Answer: For me it was quite similar to the V12. I would describe the V12 as warmer. For me the upper register was easier to play / less Tinny than the V12 but they were both very similar for me.
Question: would these reeds work on alto Bb clarinet
Answer: I'm not sure I understand your question because the alto clarinet is pitched in Eb, not Bb. However, I can tell you that the Eb alto clarinet needs a larger reed than the standard Bb clarinet, so the answer to your question is probably "no". As far as I can tell, Amazon doesn't sell Rue Lepics for alto clarinet (and I'm not sure that Vandoren even makes them). Your best bet for alto clarinet reeds is probably to go with the standard blue box reeds: http://www.amazon.com/Vandoren-Alto-Clarinet-Reeds-3-5/dp/B0002D0ALO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1384734362&sr=8-1.
Question: I play a 4 stength on the v12's, what strength should I play on these
Answer: Try the 4s. True, they are better quality reeds, but you can probably use a 4.
Question: Do these reeds still come in the special rigid set-up box? Or do they now come in a standard Vandoren box
Answer: Still in the rigid box pictured

User questions & answers

Question: Can i jump from a 3 to 3.5 without using a vandoren before? i have only used rico in the past
Answer: I can't remember the warranty info but it is very light. I was nervous about the durability when I assembled it because it was lighter than I thought. I purchased 2 for my fitness studio and they get used everyday about 30 times. One of the best things about this table is the padding. It is so soft yet durable and it sits lower to the ground than most other tables making it easy to stretch our clients.
Question: How do these reeds compare to Vandoren Java Red Reeds
Answer: Please kindly confirm the height of the message table is adjustable from 25.2'' to 33.7'', hope this can help you.
Question: what is the difference between these reeds and the regular ones? I am a freshman in high school and was wondering if I should use these instead
Answer: I don't have the ability to go measure it...limited mobility right now...but it's nearly as big as a full size bed. There wasn't a lot of padding in the box...pretty close to the same dimensions. I am a big woman, short and heavy and I have plenty of room to roll around on it doing my exercises and feels nice and sturdy. I am very pleased with it.
