User questions & answers
Question: | do you need an external speakers for sound output |
Answer: | No |
Question: | Is this compatible with fl studios |
Answer: | Sostenuto |
Question: | Is this product compatible with programs like Finale and Sibelius |
Answer: | 130 cm long. 33 cm wide (front of keyboard to back of piano) |
Question: | Microkey 25 , software bundle is" invalid". have a solution? neither the seller or korg has answered inquiries |
Answer: | 12 voices but they refer to them as (sounds) in their documentation. 8 different pianos 2 different Organs 1 Harpsichord 1 Strings Also it has: 120 note polyphony 11 Demo songs It bolts onto the wood stand (2 screws). I mention this because it is possible to use it without the “furniture” (If one had the desire) and be portable, used with X or Z stand, table top etc. In my opinion, this is a great e-piano with Excellent “Piano” sound and keyboard feel (in this price range). Can’t say how “good” the other voices are but they sound like what they are labeled as. Such qualities are personal/individual preference based anyway. I will go on to say that it isn’t as feature packed as some others at similar price point might be. This obviously becomes a matter of personal choice.. you want better key action or care more that it can sit there and play “more” demo songs by itself etc. Assembly, it is easy to assemble; however, it is just as easy to get confused. The instructions are written (Not much written) to cover more than one version and it is mostly based on a diagram. I found it a bit confusing because eventually I noticed it sort of shows 2 dimensions, leaving a bit of deduction about front facing vs rear facing. Probably due to my haste to get it done but I made a few Simple mistakes that were difficult to realize and find later. That made it take an hour or so... maybe longer actually. Piece backwards or upside down (or both) having to take it apart to correct something etc. After it was done, I could easily see that it really was 20min job, maybe less with electric screw driver. My suggestion, assemble where you have space and look at how the pieces “should” go/fit before starting to put screws in. The last part is bolting the piano onto it. Don’t rush and it will go together fine. People may find this funny but it isn’t just (4 pieces of wood) as it may appear. The “piano” manual pdf is free, available online to anyone. Just browser search for it. Speaking of manual, it is really Just a single sheet of paper. literally. More than what you asked about, but hope it helps you and others. |

This professional piano style damper (Sustain) pedal offers half-damper action when used with products that support half-damper control. For products that do not support half-damper message, the pedal will act like a regular, full damper pedal.
- DS-1H Piano half damper switch
User questions & answers
Question: | Does this pedal work with the Korg D |
Answer: | This is only the module, "knobs and switches" as you put it. For a 25 key mini keyboard, look up: Roland, 25-Key Portable Keyboard (K-25M). You can also control it through midi if you have a midi controller or other midi output keyboard. |
Question: | Does the pedal "click" when using it? (the metal against the base |
Answer: | Hello, What is inside is not really a sequencer, as Gaia SH-01 has no screen to edit the sequence, it is just a single phrase recorder, so you can record 1 phrase (1 track) and that's all. The way to use a sequencer is to connect SH-01 to a computer and to run a sequencer program on the computer. |
Question: | Useable with Korg SV-1 73 & 88 keyboards |
Answer: | Hello, As Gaia uses drivers on Windows/Mac, it is not USB MIDI compliant, so it does not work when you connect it directly in USB, but as it is MIDI compliant, you can connect it via a MIDI interface so: - Either you use the iPad camera kit, connect a USB to MIDI interface as https://www.amazon.com/M-Audio-Midisport-Portable-Interface-connection/dp/B00007JRBM/ and connect the MIDI In and Out ports of the Interface to the GAIA MIDI DIN input and output - or you connect an iPad to MIDI interface, as iRig MIDI 2 https://www.amazon.com/IK-Multimedia-iRig-MIDI-2/dp/B00MZCEW0K/, and you connect 2 MIDI cables to the MIDI IN and MIDI Out connectors on the Gaia. and it will work. |
Question: | Would someone advise me why I can't use my Yamaha sustain pedal in my korg M |
Answer: | Hello, no, Gaia SH-01 does not come with a regular piano sound, but 1) you can edit your own patch, there are here 2 videoshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKhxVr0Uk3Mhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwQ-VDPvdh0showing how to make it sound like a piano2) you can - load already made SH-01 patch via a Gaia utility available here http://www.grauw.nl/projects/gaia-tool/- find some patches sounding like piano here http://www.gaiausers.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=590But it does not sound as a Grand Piano. |

Answer: | It’s stand alone and tons of fun! So many knobs and buttons to tweak the sound, and tons of presets too so you can do fun stuff without having to figure out every knob either! I think you would use a computer if you want to change its 3 synthesizers, but you don’t need it. I’ve had mine for months now without plugging it into a computer. |
Question: | What is the quality of the keys? Do they play well/quietly/smoothly |
Answer: | We would recommend the RRC-49W. |
Question: | Can I connect my beats by dre headphones via Bluetooth |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can this unit transpose? Most other electric keyboards can, and I just want to be sure this one does too |
Answer: | Yes they should still come with a suite of bundled software.. some Korg, UVI & AAS vst's.. Ableton Lite DAW as well.. Honestly the bundled software is worth more than the cost of the unit |
Question: | Does this model include a sheet music stand |
Answer: | Just for computers/laptops |
Question: | Can the included pedal be used for sustain or will it only function as damper |
Answer: | I've used it successfully with both. For Protools it took these extra Steps below.1. Install latest USB midi driver from http://korg.com/nanoseries22. Hold down set marker and play while plugging USB cable into NanoKontrol2 from your computer.3. In Pro Tools, click on setup and go to peripherals.4. Open the midi controllers tab in peripherals.5. Select "HUI" as type, NanoKotrol (slider/konb) for send to, and NanoKotrol (CNTRL) as the receive from port. |
Question: | Does this korg have an actual attached speaker, or do they mean the internal/built in ones on the piano ? Also how many pounds does this unit weigh ? M |
Answer: | Whoever designed packing for this product is an idiot. The cable is stuck behind a cardboard partition on one end of the box. If you opened the box from the wrong end you will not see the cable and it will look like the box only contains the manual and the controller. But yes, it does come with a cable. |

User questions & answers
Question: | does it comes with a sustain pedal |
Answer: | All Korg keyboards that I have used or own use the the same polarity on the pedal jack - my experience would say yes. Good luck. |
Question: | Is there an interface on the krome ex where you can quickly access combi's or programs quickly such as the korg kronos or pa700 series |
Answer: | No noise or click. Totally silent. |
Question: | Does it have Hammond organ draw bars |
Answer: | I don't have an SV-1, but have owned a number of Korg 88 key keyboards, including the Kross, SG1-D and SG Pro X. Every Korg keyboard I've come across uses the same type of damper pedal. Yamaha pedals are not compatible, but my Casio pedals are - they used to make a very cool, though unorthodox "rubberized" pedal that worked well and never slid. The Korg pedals are well made, and do not require an abnormal amount of pressure - I own 4. Good luck. |
Question: | Does it have stereo output? What about split mode? If so, if you use split mode, do the two voices divide between the outputs |
Answer: | Most of Korg's keyboards use a TRS plug, (Tip-Ring-Sleeve) the type used for stereo headphones, on their sustain/damper pedal. The Yamaha pedal that you own might have a TR plug, (Tip-Ring) the type used for guitar cords. If the Yamaha pedal you own does have a TRS plug, then it is most likely wired to a different configuration than the Korg pedals. |

Answer: | Nothing. A card with a code to download somewhat dated programs is provided in the box. Frustrating install process and uninstalling no fun either. Don't buy this expecting great software. Nice hardware mini keyboard controller nonetheless. |

Answer: | Yes |
Question: | Hi works in korg krome? thanks |
Answer: | I love this keyboard. Keys, though small, play very well and smoothly. I highly recommend this after having tried several MIDI Bluetooth ones. |
