Answer:	It would not work with my Casio keyboard (LK-230) since the polarity is not compatible and the pedal does not have a switch to reverse it. Although I tried the various suggestions like unplugging, turning the keyboard off and on when attaching the pedal, I returned it and got the MGear pedal which is exactly the same but has a polarity switch and is less than half the price.

Answer:	The pedal has reversible polarity, so it will work with all keyboards.

Answer:	It appears this is a simple on/off switch pedal. For continuous or gradient performance the phrases to look for in sustain pedal description are "half-damper" or "half-pedaling." If there is no indication by the manufacturer of one of those descriptions, the pedal is just an on/off switch. If your digital piano or electronic keyboard supports half-damper, then a half-damper pedal varies the nature of the sustain effect based on how far down you depress the pedal. The only half-damper pedals I have found so are the Yamaha FC3A, Roland DP-10, and Korg DS1H. The half-damper effect emulates the action on an acoustic piano of lifting the felt damping pads only part way off of the strings.

Answer:	The Yamaha clp 300 has pedals, not sure why you would need to add another sustain pedal. Not 100% sure but do not think this will work.

Answer:	Try taking the plug out of the jack and pushing it back in a few times. Try using it in a known good keyboard that you or a friend has or at a local store. There are screws at the bottom of the pedal. Open it up and see if any connections are loose. Your jack could be shorting on your keyboard. Answer:	It's important to have the pedal plugged in before you turn the keyboard on. Try disconnecting everything, plug in pedal, then plug in keyboard. Hopefully this will correct the problem. This should reverse the sustain polarity. Good luck.
