Answer:	You're looking at a large to XL for a fretwrap.
Question:	What would be a good combo amp (tube or solid state) to go with this guitar, considering the lowest frequencies could blow a regular amp speaker
Answer:	It's up to you with what sound you want. I just a tube Ampgeg Reverbrocket, great for jazz or with a distortion works good. I don't think the low frequancies of the guitar wouldnt do any damage to the speakers, I believe it is more the level of output from the amp and going through speakers would do damage, like 150 watts through a speaker rated at 30watts. There is plenty of low end from this guitar, I was going to run both a guitar amp and a bass amp with this guitar but no need for that. Also if you're playing with a bassist, be careful with frequancies and bumbling the bass and the 8's low end. So maybe less low end may be good.

Answer:	I use it on my sailboat so yes it can be used. If you are using it on teak, you might consider teak oil which will bring out the colors of the wood without making it to dark. If your using it to get the look of teak, then you'll probably want a clear/satin finish after staining. I use teak oil on my boat, but then the parts I apply it to are all teak.

Choosing The Right Gauge

String Gauge plays an important role in how efficiently your instrument performs. Typically thicker gauges provide a hotter output, more low-end frequency response, and overall a richer tone. However lighter gauges allow for effortless bending and chording. Finding the right balance of tone and comfort can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming. Below are a few guidelines to help make the selection process easier.

String Gauge greatly effects the string tension on your guitar which can alter how difficult your guitar is to play. As mentioned previously lighter gauges provide a much easier playing experience, but it doesn't come without sacrifices. If the tension is too light it can cause tuning stability issues, conversely if the gauge is too heavy it can make it difficult to bend notes. A good general rule of thumb is to see what gauge strings your guitar manufacturer placed on the instrument out of the factory and try that first.

Another important factor to consider is what tuning you wish to keep your guitar in. Some players like to drop their tuning down a half-step, whole step, or into open tunings. Many of these players opt for a heavier gauge of string to compensate for this loss in string tension which occurs when you tune down. On the opposite side of the spectrum you have some guitarists who tune their guitar up a full octave and use a special extremely light gauge to achieve ‘Nashville Tuning’. These alternate tunings all have a dramatic effect on the string tension which is compensated by altering the gauge.

If you choose to alter the gauge on your guitar, it is highly recommended to have an Authorized Fender Service Center perform a set up and string change. Changing the gauge will alter the string height and intonation on your guitar which is routine maintenance for a seasoned tech to adjust.

Answer:	I've been using these strings for 37 years and never had a problem with them sounding "twangy". I have them on my Fender, ESP and Jackson. Maybe you need a new, better guitar....
Question:	Do these work decent for drop c and drop b
Answer:	No. These have pure nickel wrappings that give a more vintage tone and are Fender "150s." The "250s" that are listed on most new Fender guitar spec sheets are nickel plated steel, the brighter and more widely used type of modern string. Both do have multi-colored ball ends, so they may seem similar without the packaging, but the feel and sound is different on the guitar.

Answer:	They should. I have put them on several guitars and they sound great.
Question:	Does it really work
Answer:	If you just want to change 1 string then this might be a bit too much product than you need. Usually when one string breaks then it is best to change all 6. If it is an electric guitar then these should work fine for you. Question:	Are the strings, lite or medium
Answer:	Great question: how long is a string? Long enough to string any guitar made today. I normally cut off inches that are left over after I string my guitars. Guitars have a scale, and even the most extreme scale will be covered by the extra length of normal strings. Strings are too cheap to try to save money by not giving you enough length.
Question:	how wide
Answer:	I play in D standard, drop C , C# standard and they stay in tune just fine. There’s a period of adjustment (stretching) like any string. But they stay in tune well. And they don’t break nearly as often. Used to break strings @ the bridge but these don’t. I would go up a gauge for drop B for sure. But these are all I use for all my guitars (they make acoustic strings too)
Question:	What is the difference between light, custom light, etc? I just receivrd my new Martin acoustic snd want to get a spare identical pair
Answer:	The package it self says the strings are made from high carbon steel wire. No indications to nickel at all.

Answer:	Wide enough. These are 12's. Light gauge string. They'll fit just about any acoustic guitar. The width of the neck (if that's what you mean when you say "how wide?") doesn't matter. These are the strings Martin recommends for most of their guitars by default.

Answer:	The custom light strings are a bit smaller in diameter than the light as shown below, per martin specs. Actually, there is an even lighter gauge called extra light. I like using the extra light for finger picking. I'll list all three categories. The gauges are listed starting with the 1st string (small E) etc. I won't bother to list the medium gauge strings. Extra light: .010 .014 .023 .030 .039 .047 Custom light: .011 .015 .023 .032 .042 .052 Light: .012 .016 .025 .032 .042 .054 The strings you mention being light gauge 92/8 Phosphor Bronze, model MA140S. The Phosphor Bronze type are much better than the cheaper 80/20 Bronze. Martin sells both types with all different gauges, but they ship most of their guitars with the 92/8 Phosphor Bronze. Stay with them. If you are using your guitar for your own enjoyment you might try using the extra light in 92/8 Phosphor Bronze type. Works good for me. They are listed as model MA170S

Answer:	Bronze. Perfectly safe. Just the skin oils pH reaction to bronzing. Not harmful and it is the same with all guitar strings that are coated with bronze. Nothing to be worried about.

Question:	the bridge is still in place but I can easily slip a thin paper under it in the central part from the back, nearly 8mm. No glue there. Is that normal
Answer:	I would say that is not normal. It sounds like the top is warped. I would contact the manufacturer it should be warrantied.

Question:	which ones would be good for acoustic
Answer:	On most, I would say- as long as you’re using locking tuners or not too much wind on normal tuners. I just put them on my 28” scale Jackson, with the AT-1 style headstock and auto-trim licking tuners, and there was lots of room to spare on every string. The shortest remainder was on the D string with about 2” of (actual wound) string left.
Question:	When it says' Regular" That just means not coated right? Are they are for an electric guitar
Answer:	Some sellers don't exactly know what balanced tension strings are so they probably though you just wanted 9's

Answer:	The strings are sold in sets of 6 strings. A set of strings for a guitar contains 6 strings... Some music stores sell individual strings, but these strings are sold in full sets of 6. Each string set includes 6 strings: one each of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th string (each string is a different gauge). For example: 1-pack: contains 1 set of 6 strings 3-pack: contains 3 sets of 6 strings (each of the 3 sets contains 6 strings) 10-pack: contains 10 sets of 6 strings (each of the 10 sets contains 6 strings) In other words, if you purchase the 3-pack, you will get 3 full sets of all 6 strings!
