9 best tuners chromes
"Tuners Chromes" is not a widely recognized term in the context of musical instruments or guitar accessories. However, we can provide information on tuners and chrome hardware that may be relevant to electric guitars:
Tuners: Tuners, also known as tuning machines or tuning pegs, are essential components of a guitar that allow players to adjust the tension of the strings, thereby tuning the instrument to the desired pitch. They come in various styles, including sealed-gear and open-gear tuners. High-quality tuners are crucial for maintaining accurate tuning stability.
Chrome Hardware: "Chrome" typically refers to the finish or plating used on various guitar hardware components, such as bridge, tailpiece, and tuning machine buttons. Chrome hardware is known for its shiny, reflective appearance, which is a popular choice for many electric guitars. It not only provides an aesthetically pleasing look but also offers durability and corrosion resistance.
Tuner Styles: Tuners for electric guitars come in different styles, including standard, locking, and vintage-style tuners. Locking tuners, for example, have a mechanism that clamps down on the string, making string changes quicker and improving tuning stability. Vintage-style tuners, on the other hand, are often used to maintain a classic look on guitars.
Tuning Stability: Tuning stability is crucial for guitarists, especially when playing live or recording. High-quality tuners, regardless of their finish, help keep the guitar in tune during extended playing sessions and when using techniques that put stress on the strings.
Upgrades: Guitarists sometimes choose to upgrade their guitar's tuning machines to improve tuning accuracy or achieve a specific look. When doing so, it's important to ensure compatibility with the guitar's headstock and existing mounting holes.
Maintenance: Proper maintenance of tuners and chrome hardware involves keeping them clean and free from dirt and grime, as this can affect their functionality and appearance over time.
In summary, while "Tuners Chromes" is not a recognized term, it's possible that you may be referring to chrome-finished tuning machines or other chrome hardware used on electric guitars. These components play a crucial role in the tuning stability and overall aesthetics of the instrument.Guitarists often pay attention to the quality and appearance of these parts to enhance their playing experience and achieve the desired look for their guitar.

LockING TunersChrome
User questions & answers
Question: | Are these compensated/staggered height tuners |
Answer: | Yes. There are two heights of tuners. Three long and three short. Just FYI, there is no order other than that. I bought more of these and checked exclusively to see if there was staggering within the groups of three and there WAS NOT. These are a fantastic upgrade from regular sealed tuners. String changing is a no-brainer and their hefty build helps them keep tuning dead-on. Hope this helps! Will |
Question: | Will these fit a 2014 MIM Strat without modification |
Answer: | IF your MIM Strat has the similar looking Fender tuners (made by Ping), then they are a direct replacement. If your Strat has the Fender "Vintage" style tuners, then they will not without a few mods. To tell for certain, just remove one of your existing tuners and look for two alignment pins on the back of the tuner which fit into two small holes drilled into in the rear of the head stock, under the tuners. If you have those alignment pins, you're golden. |
Question: | will these on a right handed 2014 MIM standard |
Answer: | I put these on a right handed 2006 MIM standard Strat and the peg holes aligned perfectly ... They popped right in. |
Question: | I am looking for locking tuners for a Telecaster and amazon gave me this listing for this product. Could you tell me if these would work on a it |
Answer: | Standard fender locking MIM tuners are fine people just don’t know how to use them. They are locking so you need to slack the string and tune up. As soon as you tune down it un locks. Think of a ratchet strap..... And the nut needs some graphite like pencil lead. Messy but works. |

Protecting the world’s finest wheels and tires from theft since 1964. McGard manufactures wheel locks in the USA to meet or exceed OEM standards for safety and durability. Presently, McGard is an Original Equipment wheel lock supplier to over 30 car lines around the world. These easy-to-use, one-piece wheel locks function like regular lug nuts, but require a special key tool for installation and removal. The steel collar on the user friendly key guides the key into the lock pattern. The collar holds the key in alignment for easy installation and removal. The computer generated key designs allow for an infinite number of key patterns. The extra narrow pattern groove on the lock resists the intrusion of removal tools into the pattern. Every McGard wheel lock is fully machined from restricted chemistry steel made specifically for McGard and through-hardened for its unsurpassed level of security. McGard’s plating process includes three layers of nickel and one layer of microporous chrome producing a superior finish while protecting against rust. For use on Tuner wheels or wheels with very small lug nut holes. For alloy wheels only. This product may contain globally sourced materials/components.

- 1" Hex Size
- Tuner Style Cone Seat Wheel Locks
- Set of 4 Locks and 1 Key
Product features
A Different Lock for Every Wheel
McGard offers multiple wheel lock options that vary in thread size, thread length and color. One important factor that often goes overlooked is the mounting surface type. Some wheels required a cone seat, some require a radius seat and others may require a shank style wheel lock. It is important to match the seat type of the wheel lock with the seat type of the wheel for proper installation.
See comparison chart below to help determine the best wheel lock type for your vehicle and wheel combination.
Step 1
Remove wheel covers (if equipped) and one lug nut/bolt from each wheel. If studs are rusty, clean with a wire brush prior to installing wheel locks. Do not lubricate threads. Note: Wheel locks should always be the last nut/bolt tightened on each wheel and should be the first one loosened.
Step 2
By hand, install one McGard Wheel Lock onto each wheel to replace the lug nut/bolt removed in step 1. Use only one lock per wheel. Note: If original lug nuts/bolts use a washer/plastic cap, be sure to install the washer/plastic cap included in package onto the wheel locks. Notice: Air impact guns should not be used for installation of locks or lug nuts/bolts. Use of an impact gun for installation may cause over tightening resulting in difficulty of removal and permanent damage to the lock and key. Overtightening can also cause damage to brake rotors and wheel seats.
Step 3
Using the McGard key and a lug wrench, tighten each lock to the torque specified in your vehicle owner’s manual. Be sure to keep the key pattern squarely engaged into the lock pattern via direct inward pressure. For best results, use a torque wrench and socket for final tightening. Wheel locks should be re-torqued after 25 miles(40Km) of driving. Newly installed lug nuts/bolts should also be re-torqued.

Traditional thumbscrew-style locking functionality with Gotoh technology.
Pull the string taught through the tuner hole, and with a twist of the thumbwheel the string is locked into the post. Just a few turns of the tuner knob and you're up to pitch. Since there's just a partial wrap of string around the post, tuning stability is dramatically improved. Locking tuners are excellent for non-locking tremolo guitars, and for players that do heavy string-bending.
Rock Solid™ string posts eliminate looseness and reduce backlash for improved tuning stability. No more wobbly string posts to cause tuning problems. Two post heights eliminate the need for string trees.
The Lubri-Coat™ process electro-coats the gears with a special polymer layer. This eliminates the need for oil and keeps the lubrication where it's needed, for the life of the tuner.

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the post length for these tuners |
Answer: | You would need to make sure the tuning post are not the knock in bushing type, but have 10mm screw in bushings. If they are cheap tuners be prepared to widen tuner holes Also if they are the cheapo tuners be prepared to have to make new holes on the back of the headstock to mount the tuners. All of these procedures are not for a novice. Do you want to put that work into an inexpensive guitar? |
Question: | what is the string post length?? How far does it go through the headstock to the string hole |
Answer: | They are bright chrome silver looking like normal tuners |
Question: | What is the stringpost length for these tuners in inches |
Answer: | The screw holes in the tuners lined up perfectly with the holes already drilled on the headstock for my Glarry II. Hope this helps. |
Question: | Can i install these 3+3 set on a acoustic martin-type of guitar |
Answer: | Yes |
