Answer:	It's still probably weekly. I'm not so much a fan of these after owning 8 of them. I believe a better solution is controlling humidity in the room which will be more constant and less risky as far as any breach or spillage into our valuable instruments with how these are inserted and maintained within there.

Answer:	Approximately 4 1/8" long, including the cap, and 7/8" in diameter. Those are pretty exact, so you might allow for a little leeway. It fits well in my cases, including a parlor guitar case.

Answer:	I bought a hard case because I did not feel that my soft case would contain the humidity. If you want to keep something from drying out you wrap it in plastic, not cloth.

Answer:	This item has tiny crystals inside tube. These slow evaporation & can be ordered thru Oasis. Factors that effect evaporationare: Cases; whatever kind, absorb humidity. Some instruments soak up faster than others. General room humidity is factor also.I use a humidistat to monitor all my cases. There's tiny crystals inside tube that slow evaporation. I start with an Oasis. If it dries up too quickI'll add a Herco or Dampit, especially with acoustics. Right now I have 26 cased guitars. This item is in 20 of them. There's smaller size for mandolins, etc.On average, I'd say they can last 5 to 7 days b4 refill. Crystals are replaceable.
Question:	can you use this on a soft guitar case, lay flat on its side? will it drip this way
Answer:	You most certainly can. I have it in multiple cases and have yet to have experience it drip! It's lock-tight ;) phenomenal product from my point of view and for the purposes I use it for. I am happier as are my acoustic guitars.

Answer:	I put it between the d and g strings. I use my thumb and index fingers on my left hand to push the stings apart. Set the oasis where flat piece rests on the sthings then gently release the stings on the fill cap. Reverse to remove. Use it for 8 years. No problems.

Answer:	It will stay in place if that is what you are wanting to know. I keep my guitars in the case when humidity is low, but I store the cases standing up and the humidifier works fine.

Answer:	It is not recommended that you attach it to the strings. We recommend using the hygrometer holder. It is soft and will not risk damage to your instrument.
Question:	I recently purchased (from amazon) the oasis oh-2c thermo/hygrometer and it does not appear to be working. the display always shows "72.5f ll% "help
Answer:	The instructions enclosed with the hygrometer says that the hygrometer has an effective range 20%-100% humidity. With the exceptionally dry weather we have had this year, the reading of LL for humidity means the humidity is below 20%. If you take the hygrometer to a more humid area, it will, most likely, start to show a positive humidity level. If not, contact Oasis, Inc. for a replacement.
Question:	Would this unit be good for a humidor
Answer:	The OH-2C can be used anywhere indoors. Personally, I use it in my humidor.
Question:	Does the on-off button just turn off the lcd display, or does it turn off the hygrometer from taking readings
Answer:	I think it turns the unit off on the one showing in the picture. The unit I would recommend however is the OH-31 HT Tracker. It seems to be very accurate and is controlled by an app on your phone. I'll be getting a few more soon. Christmas presents.

Accurate humidity measurement is only possible when the hygrometer is positioned near the area where the humidifier is located. Guitar cases are designed with a cradle to support the neck of the guitar. This is also where the supply/accessory box is located, which creates a humidity barrier. Thus placing a humidifier at the headstock humidifies the head and neck but not the guitar body, and placing a humidifier in the sound hole humidifies the body of the guitar but not the headstock. Placing a hygrometer either at the supply box or the headstock won't provide accurate humidity measurements if the humidifier is located in the sound hole. Answer:	It uses velcro and attaches to the strings just like the picture. Very easy and safe for the guitar. In fact, my guitars are Taylor and Martin and I don't want anything that could scratch or damages these guitars.
Question:	Does the hygrometer then go inside a bag? Or is this just a piece of cloth (with velcro attachment) that the hygrometer lies on top of
Answer:	The hygrometer (Not included) is attached to the cloth with included Double stick tape and the cloth has Velcro so when you put the hygrometer and material between two of the strings it holds in place. It’s a little pricey for such a simple item, but it works really well keeping the hygrometer where you need it, and not allowing it to bounce around in your guitar case. I have seven of them and they work very well. I think they should’ve been included with the hygrometer, but they are not.

Question:	Does this come with the humidifying packs
Answer:	Yes, the humidifying packs are pictured on the box. Two fabric holders are sent to suspend the packs inside your guitar. Of course, you must keep your guitar in a relatively air-tight case for the system to work. The packs are designed to keep the relative humidity between the recommended 45 to 55 percent. I use a room humidity gauge to determine whether the packs are needed.
Question:	I have been using these for 10 months and they are still not dried out. Can they last that long
Answer:	Yes, depending on the environment the guitar is kept. Although I don’t wait until the packets turn to stone before changing them. I usually change the packets when they feel a bit crunchy.
Question:	Can I use this in an electric acoustic guitar
Answer:	This product is for use in any hollow body guitar, especially during the Winter months when the heat is on and the wood tends to dry out. You MUST use a humidifier to keep the wood (especially the guitar top) of your instrument from cracking. I use this D'Addario humidifier on my custom but D-45 with excellent results.
Question:	Can you reuse the packs, like after they get hard could you put them in a humid environment and re humidify them
Answer:	Yes they can. I have been using these for years and I rotate between sets. One set is in the instrument case while the other is recharging. To recharge, get two Tupperware containers one large and one small. The smaller one (without its lid) needs to fit into the large one so that its lid can be closed. Add about 1/2 inch of water to the larger container and put the packs needed to be recharged in the smaller one, put the smaller container in the larger one and seal it. It takes about 2-3 weeks to recharge a pack that's hardened into new condition. I use humidity meters in the cases to spot check and there is no difference between a new humidipak and a recharged one. If you get the packets wet BTW, the gig is up. You have to throw them out and replace them. I get 2-3 years of service from a set of 3 before they start to fall apart. I live in Ohio BTW, so I only need them for half the year.
