12 best oasis violin bridges

Oasis violin bridges are a type of bridge designed for violins, which are an essential component of a stringed instrument's setup. The bridge is a critical element that holds the strings above the violin's body, transmitting the vibrations of the strings to the instrument's soundboard and influencing the overall tone and playability.

Oasis violin bridges are known for their quality and craftsmanship. Here are some key points about Oasis violin bridges:

  1. Material: Oasis violin bridges are typically made from high-quality wood, such as maple or aged spruce. These woods are selected for their resonance and durability, which can significantly impact the sound of the violin.

  2. Craftsmanship: Oasis bridges are carefully crafted by skilled luthiers (instrument makers) to ensure precise shaping and fitting. The design and shaping of the bridge can affect the violin's tone and projection.

  3. Sound Enhancement: A well-crafted bridge can enhance the instrument's sound quality. Oasis bridges are designed to transmit the vibrations of the strings efficiently to the violin's soundboard, allowing for better projection and tone.

  4. Compatibility: Oasis bridges are available in various sizes to fit different violin models. It's crucial to select the right size bridge for your instrument to ensure proper fit and optimal sound.

  5. Installation: Installing a new bridge on a violin is a delicate process that should be performed by a skilled luthier. The bridge must be positioned correctly and precisely carved to maintain the correct string height and spacing.

  6. Maintenance: Like any part of a violin, the bridge requires occasional maintenance to ensure its integrity. Luthiers can adjust and shape the bridge as needed to maintain the instrument's playability and tone.

  7. Tonal Characteristics: Different bridge designs and materials can slightly alter the tonal characteristics of a violin. Some bridges may emphasize warmth, while others may enhance brightness. Oasis bridges are known for their balanced and versatile tonal qualities.

In summary, Oasis violin bridges are high-quality accessories that can significantly influence the sound and playability of a violin. Their craftsmanship and materials make them a popular choice among violinists looking to enhance their instrument's performance. However, it's essential to consult with a professional luthier when selecting and installing a new bridge to ensure it's a suitable match for your specific violin.

User questions & answers

Question: Would it alter the performance of the bridge if I stained it black
Answer: I can鈥檛 imagine that it would alter its performance in any way, but I haven鈥檛 tried staining it either.
Question: Would it work for a electric
Answer: HelloThis shoyld work for an electric bit it may need yo be altered as most wlectric violins have the feet sanded flat. It will all depend on your violin. If i can be of any help then please let me kmow. Thank youJamesAlexi Strings
Question: What are the exact dimensions? Thanks
Answer: The bridge is cut to standard 4/4 required dimensions
Question: Is the photo accurate as to the shape of the top of the bridge? The arc looks like what I need to stop hitting two strings at once
Answer: Yes it looks like the picture. It is also the same as an old one I have of a different brand. I think it鈥檚 a standard shape. You will need to carve the bottom feet to make it fit your violin. If you are having trouble hitting two strings, maybe the bottom wasn鈥檛 carved properly on the one you currently use?

User questions & answers

Question: Hi folks. how much fitting did the feet need and did you do it yourself. Nearest shop to me is a 4 hour round trip
Answer: I became a "Luthier" overnight... After watching dozen of you tube videos on how to fit a bridge. Since I have always love learning by experience I got this bridge and went for it. I am a total violin beginner, by chance actually. Someone gave me a vintage violin, no strings, bridge, sound post. So I had nothing to lose and much to gain by experimenting on my own. Fixing this violin has giving me a great knowledge of the instrument. Since this violin didn't have any strings, all I had to do was to fit this bridge, shave some bit and pieces out, so it perfectly contour the body of the violin, then I put the strings on. I was afraid to put the sound bridge myself though, so I brought it to a violin shop. Voila I have a violin to play with! now the problem is that as I learned more, I noticed this bridge is too high for this violin. And that in my ignorance I didn't realized that the curve of the fingerboard of this violin in particular does not "match" this bridge. These kind of adjustment could only be accomplish by a professional. Not by me the kitchen Luthier :) Anyway if you (or anybody reading this )would like to do it by your own, I would recommend Josef Teller Adjustable Violin Bridge instead, the feet of that bridge rotate a bit giving you a great fit without having to carve this one. Loosen the strings, get a clam for the body so the sound post will not fall accidentally, if it does.. take it to a shop. It can be done. It can never replace the artistry of a Luthier, but at least will get you through in the meantime
Question: So the bridge to my violin broke and I need a replacement I鈥檓 not sure what fitted and semi fitted mean I鈥檓 a beginner the violin is for student
Answer: Most bridges will need to befitted by a professional violin maker. With the semi fitted bridge, you might be able to bypass that process and install it your self.
Question: It looks pretty thick. Are you supposed to make it thinner by yourself
Answer: It was useless because they don鈥檛 come with the space where the wires set. I took it to several music shops and they won鈥檛 do the cut. Wasn鈥檛 easy for me to do it, needs adjustment and professional cut. I had to buy a new violin

User questions & answers

Question: Does this come with the accesories in the picture
Answer: Everything that is in the picture comes in the case.
Question: If my daughter is 10, what size should I get
Answer: I got the 4/4 size however my grandaughter has the 7/8 and she is 10. The violins are so close in size its hard to tell the difference however her bow in lenght is shorter.
Question: Would this 1/4 fit a small 7 year old
Answer: 5 -7 yrs about 18"arm span 1/47-9yrs about 20"arm span 1/2
Question: Can this be used as a fiddle
Answer: The bridge is the difference. A fiddle is a violin with a flatter bridge and a violin with a rounded bridge is played in the classic style and just called violin. Fiddle, as some mentioned is related to folk, country western, zydeco, bluegrass, folksy types of music. This is because the flatter bridge allows one to play chords more easily by making it easier to bow two or more strings at once. Whereas a standard violin with rounded bridge is easier to bow single notes as one would in an orchestral setting.

User questions & answers

Question: Are these individually wrapped in plastic? I need to find a good option for a floral table runner
Answer: The K&K Pure Preamp is a single channel preamp, it will not power or blend the mic with the Pure Mini pickups. You can use the K&K Trinity Preamp or the K&K Quantum Blender to power the microphone and provide blending between the mic and pickups.
Question: Why is the pricing continuing to go up every week? I bought one case at $45 and now its $68. What gives
Answer: Although the belt clip is included, it is not required. You can set the preamp down on the floor, mount it to your mic stand, etc. Please note that the preamp is rather small and light so it may move when the cables attached to it are moved.
Question: How big are the individual bricks
Answer: You would need to buy violin strings for a 1/10 violin or strings designated 1/10. This is a very small violin. Violins are sized 4/4 or full size for an adult to 1/32 a very small violin for a very small child. 1/10 is an uncommon designation. The closest would be a 1/8. Are you sure this is correct?
Question: Are these the ones with 鈥渆nhanced biodegradability
Answer: Yes, the 1/2 size set I just purchased came with a ball end. If you get a loop end E you can still use it, just make sure it's secure as you tighten.

User questions & answers

Question: Can this work on a left-handed violin
Answer: I am not sure. Our puppy is an English springer spaniel. They were great for her. She is 19 lbs now and still uses them. I like the round rings
Question: How well does this mute work? I have roommates and neighbors that wont appreciate the screeching and scratching
Answer: It takes my blue heeler, who is a very aggressive chewer, about 30 minutes to get through one. It takes a little longer than a straight stick of similar weight.
Question: Will it mute the sound of an electric violin even more than without it
Answer: Its from a bull. Not a cow if you get what I am saying
Question: s this soft ? can this damage my bridge
Answer: I have a 70 lb Staffordshire Terrier mix and a 50 lb Husky/boxer mix. They last a few days ...longer if dogs get distracted!

User questions & answers

Question: What is the difference between Cecilio cvn-200 and mendini
Answer: Si!.. Se muestra con todos los accesorios. Una pieza 100% original y profesional. Recomiendo el Viol铆n asi como el vendedor 100% 馃専馃専馃専馃専馃専 5 Estrellas
Question: Does it come setup
Answer: If you're unsure of how to place the bridge back on, take it to a music shop and they will assist you, music and arts centers will assist you in the store, I've done plenty of those at no cost when I used to work there. There is a certain direction and placing the bridge must sit to be able to sit properly, please seek a professional for instrument care.
Question: The tuning pegs do not stay after adjusting, is this normal
Answer: This product comes with two bridges that are made by the manufacture. No name on the bridges. I bought this product and it is an amazing deal for the quality and tone of the instrument! I suggest buying new strings, the ones that come in this set are cheap and dull sounding! Dominant Strings are suggested by this professional of 20 years!
Question: does this item come with an extra set of strings
Answer: hi Kyle D...no, I thought the violin would look like the picture because the wood looks rich and the violin strings looks like it would have a deep sound to it. However, if you haven't bought the violin yet..good.. I would spend a little more money on a good violin that would last you a long time..my mendini is still in the box oh and the strings on the violin are cheap..thank you for asking I hoped I help :) Deanne allen
Question: Es el primero que se muestra con todos los accesorios o es el naranja de abajo. Precio es profesional
Answer: Only one . easy to use.
Question: My daughter was trying to tune her violin (she's twelve and just starting out) and the bridge fell off. Is it difficult to put back on
Answer: The top button changes the pitch: ie 440 (which is standard pitch) to a faster pitch and turns the tuner off and on. The bottom button changes the instrument to be tuned: violin, viola, cello & base. Hope this helps.
Question: what bridge does this come with
Answer: The clip opens to 1 1/4 inch at the widest. Don't know if that's large enough for your bass.
Question: Does the actual violin that will ship look anything like this
Answer: It responds as quickly as any tuner meaning you can check long notes, but not short ones. However, the center markers for pitch are white with yellow ones on each side which means there's little contrast to see while you're playing. So I think it would be tough to monitor your pitch while playing.

How to choose violin sizes

Violins are available in 8 different sizes: 4/4 (also called full size), 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/10, 1/16 and 1/32. Size 4/4 is the biggest and size 1/32 is the smallest. All adults, regardless of their size, use the size 4/4 violin.

To measure what size violin best suits you, you need to know the length between your neck and the middle of your left-hand palm (when your hand is fully extended and raised perpendicular to your body, just like holding a violin). Most of the teachers prefer students to use the length from the neck to the wrist for measurement instead of the neck to mid-palm approach. The violin size determined by the neck/wrist approach would be the size that is more comfortable for students to hold. The violin size determined by the neck/mid-palm approach would be the biggest size students should use. The following table lists the length of each violin size. Find your length using your preferred approach and use that to determine the size of violin to get.

If you have a teacher, you should ask for your teacher's recommendation. If you don't have a teacher, we would recommend using the neck/wrist approach for students not using full size; for students who are deciding whether to used size 3/4 or size 4/4, use the neck/mid-palm approach. This is because it is always better those students feeling comfortable holding and playing the violin. However, while deciding between size 3/4 and size 4/4, if neck/mid-palm approach allows for size 4/4, then buying a size 4/4 is more economical since you don't have to buy another bigger size violin later. This is completely based on economical consideration. You should still decide what best suits your need.

Cecilio CVN-300 Violin

One of our most popular models, the Cecilio CVN-300 is specially crafted to handle all the needs a beginning student could have. With its ebony fingerboard and fittings, beautiful antique varnish finish, and exceptional tone and resonance, the CVN-300 is an effective and capable instrument for any student who is just starting to learn the violin. Emphasizing superior clarity, remarkable responsiveness, and a pleasantly bright and warm tone for a lively yet smooth feel, the Cecilio CVN-300 provides students with a durable and reliable instrument that they can be confident will not hinder their development on the violin.
