Question:	How much space is required to set this kit up comfortably for a young player (10)? 3 ft x 3 ft.? 4 x 4? Something in between. And please, I understand
Answer:	Give yourself about 6’ by 6’ to be sure you or your kid are comfortable...
Question:	Will this work with the video game Rock Band
Answer:	For Xbox One and Rock Band 4 you will need an Xbox 360 MIDI adapter and a PDP Wired Legacy Adapter, the latter of which is about $700 due to its rarity. For Xbox 360 and Rock Band 1-3, you just need the MIDI adapter mentioned previously. The MIDI out on the drums plugs into the MIDI in on the adapter, the adapter plugs into the Xbox (or PDP wired legacy adapter for Xbox One) via USB, and then you set specific MIDI notes to the pads via the Alesis module or use a pre-existing setup that works.
Question:	What kind of acessories do I have to buy to have the set operational? I mean cables, amp and things like this
Answer:	Throne (drum seat), pair of headphones with 1/4" jack or more likely a normal pair of 1/8" headphones + an 1/8" to 1/4" adapter (less than $10 on Amazon. Since this has seperate L and R outputs, I also got a dual L/R 1/4" to single 1/8" steareo adapter to ensure it plays in both ears. Also, I would highly suggest an amp whether or not you plan on using headphones. This thing is very low power and sound is very soft with headohones--plug kit into amp and headphones into amp headphone output.
Question:	I cannot place the new model side-by-side and compare. What’s the difference between them

The only difference between the Nitro Kit and Nitro Mesh Kit is that the Nitro Mesh Kit includes mesh heads, which provide both a more realistic feel to playing acoustic drums, and it also allows for softer sounding hits. Question:	Will i be able to use this product with with garageband on macos
Answer:	I cannot get the Turbo Mesh kit hi-hat pedal to work with Garageband. I have contacted Alesis tech support to no avail. When I file a ticket, I get an email a day or so later stating that the case has been closed asking how my service was. In Garageband, it recognizes when I press the pedal, but only momentarily. If I strike the hi-hat with the pedal open and then close it, the cymbal will be choked, but only momentarily at the initial pedal depression. After that, the hi-hat remains open. I have searched the internet for solutions to no avail, either. All of the other drums trigger correctly.

Since this isn't set up like your typical drum kit, getting used to the feel of a full drum kit wouldn't be possible with the CompactKit 4, but this product is excellent for practicing your timing as a drummer, as well as getting familiar with playing patterns. The 4 top would be good for someone trying to learn the bare basics, but the 7 top may be a lot more useful for an 8 year old who may be adamant about practicing and learning drums. Question:	What voltage is this
Answer:	My son is a drummer and he doesn't like the nylon sound or feel on a kit. He prefers the wood. So it's probably just preference, but to me I didn't notice any real difference in sound when he used them.

Question:	Do the cymbals have three zones or two
Answer:	Probably not but I will say that they are very light.
Question:	Why isn't the hi hat pedal shown on example
Answer:	As said above the taper size is different between the two with The Rebound being longer but the rebound 7a pop off the drums and symbols a lot better for a more controlled sounding drum roll and hat hat fills...The Forwards are for more of a power drumming style while the Rebound is for more of a finesse/Agilitized style of drumming... I’m a Rebound 7a guy and have no intention of ever using another type of stick other than these Promark active grip Sticks... They are amazing

Your issue relates to phase cancellation, I would suggest using a mono TS cable connection from your phone to the input of your Strike Amp 12. Answer:	It is probably because you plugged a stereo plug into a mono jack. You need an adapter to go from stereo to mono, then plug the mono into the 1/4" on the amp.

This can be achieved by connecting your MP3 audio source (i.e phone or tablet) from it's headphone output to 1 of the rear inputs of the Strike Amp 12. If your audio source features a 1/8" headphone output, this can be connected via a 1/8" to 1/4" cable jack cable. Answer:	I actually contacted someone at Alesis asking the same question and they said yes, you can. I was thinking of adding a 10” snare and using the one it came with as an additional Tom. So far I love this kit, only thing is the depth of the snare head is a little much so it’s easy to hit the rim. Other than that it’s completely worth every penny.
