Answer:	I bought my footrest to use on airplanes. I am 5' tall and my feet never touch the floor, which is very bad for one's lower back. I have never used my folding footrest on hardwood floors; but,my guess is that you could use it but may need to stick some rubber taps on the bottom. Linda Anderson 8-1-14.

Answer:	Once it is open you just rest your feet or foot on it. I bought it to use on an airplane and it doesn't work very well for me. I am 5'1" tall and it slides too much on the carpet in the airplane. Still it is better than nothing and I plan on trying to fix the sliding issue with a DIY fix.

Answer:	It has been awhile but I do think you have to install some screws but is very simple and quickly done. But I might be not recalling clearly and might be ready to use out of box. I loved the light simple practical stool because it was so portable but it ended up breaking first time I used it when I sat on it to try out its sturdiness, and I weigh only 120# at 5ft 2in. So had to return it, very disappointed

Answer:	Approximately 10 inches tall without the casters. You have to attach the casters with screws yourself. I personally feel that the screws they supply are a bit too small so I have scrounged up spares around the house from other things that will work just fine. My son is going to attach them for me on his day off.

Answer:	It appears that seat would raise to about 28" but the back would be pretty low. I have the seat at about 22".
