Think of the button as a way to move the tray over so you can disengage the teeth and then you can pivot the head. Let us know if this works. It's a fine stand for the money and has lasted with weekly opening and closing for orchestra rehearsal. |

But if you want something to use for choral performance, I think there are better products out there - ones with a strap for your hand on the outside of the folder and tabs or straps on the inside for holding music. |

| Answer: | Yes, as long as “bumping into them” does not mean kicking them. If a marching musician were to kick them straight on, there’s a chance of denting the horn inside. It’s definitely not as protective as a hard case. I keep my trumpet and flugelhorn in the triple horn bag. I always put the bag in a safe place though. |

This Bag is a very useful tool, I wholeheartedly recommend it. |

But if you have a tall overstand and steep angle to your neck, and a tall bridge, it may be a bit snug. |
