Answer:	I wouldn't say a solid piece of alder, and some are saying 3 to 5 solid pieces put together very professionally, but mine seems to be 3 pieces put together not 5. As for the butterscotch color, it's a beautiful butterscotch with a clear coat so you can clearly see the wood grains straight through. It's interesting because other butterscotch blonde telecasters have a solid color and you cannot see through them, but for this affinity telecaster, it's quite a sight to see in person.

Answer:	The Fender Jazz Bass plays great, has a unique tone palette, and is very sturdy. They will perform for many trouble-free years. That said, you probably don't need to step up to that level of instrument when you are starting out. These Glarry basses are light, well made, and sound decent too. Answer:	It really depends on the frequency of use. As long as you keep the guitar UNPLUGGED when you are not using it, the battery can last months with moderate use. I've had batteries last over a year with light use, so it really depends.

Answer:	It depends. Fret buzz on the bass is mostly on the low E string. The action can be changed on the bridge with the allen key provided and raise it slightly. If you arent comfortable doing this yourself, you can take it to a local GC and have it done for minimal charge. I have two of these basses and it is an excellent bass for the price. Hope this helps!

Answer:	Mine needed some set up got some crazy fret buzz when I got it after taking it to a tech it was good as new.

Answer:	I love the neck and an ease to play. I do not own an actual Les Paul although I own a copy and a Fender. The neck on this guitar is thinner and easier to play. I play this more than my others.
