Answer:	Nothing is pre-drilled, so yes, had to measure out and drill for the bridge, including for the grounding wire path. In my case I was building a medium-scale bass, if it had been pre-drilled the holes would have been exposed, so this body suited my particular project.

Question:	Is the picture for the sonic blue jazzmaster wrong? it looks like a different color
Answer:	I bought mine from amazon warehouse so it had been previously sold and returned. Didn't play well out of the box and had lots of fret buzz so it could be that it got out of whack after being shipped four times....plus the shipping box was damaged so much so that the delivery guy thought I should refuse it. Make no mistake this is a budget guitar, but I think the quality is very good. A lot of people modify them with upgraded pickups and electronics, but I think it sounds just fine as it is after getting the setup right. Downloaded the adjustment instructions from Fender website and bought a new set of strings for $7 and a string action ruler for $8 and checked and readjusted where needed. Took a little time, but it plays nice now with no fret buzz anywhere on the neck.

Answer:	Sometimes pics look somewhat different on a computer or phone. I just looked at the jazzmaster on amazon and it’s a little different than what it looks in person. Sonic blue is a very light or pale blue. Hope this helps.

Answer:	It's a tremolo bridge. I tend to be a bit heavy handed too (I'm primarily a bass player) and I use heavy picks and haven't had a problem.

Question:	How long is the guitar. It's a short scale guitar 24" from bridge to headstock so is it really
Answer:	A different bridge would need to be mounted to accept the tremlo bar. The back of the Strat body would need to be carved out to accept the claw for 3 to 5 springs to fasten to the under side of the bridge. In the right hands of a luthier, it could set it up for whammy bar duty, but I'd doubt anyone would want to pay the cost of what that work entails. I'd let the beginner work on the basics of learning how to play, then get the real deal in a few years before hitting the road!

Question:	Since this bass is so short, what strings can you use on it, and how wide is the lower bout
Answer:	It has a scale length of 24" just like any Fender Mustang, so I guess you could call it "full sized". The shorter scale makes it slightly easier to play than a Strat with a 25.5" scale.

Answer:	There is no "tremolo" or "whammy" bar connection. You can always install a Bigsby and they have several models available. I would not suggest installing one, first, because it has a thin enough neck that bending a chord is very easy, second, even doing a complete chord bend is easy due to the neck shape. It does not have a standard Stratocaster tailpiece which is set into the body with springs and a "tremeolo or whammy bar". It only comes with instructions and hex keys to adjust the instrument settings. No cord is included but it does come pre-strung with nice sounding Fender strings.... no extras, just an awesome instrument. The Mustang is worth more than the price you'll pay to get one... but you have to buy one so your eyes can appreciate it.. I bought two.... A purchase that you will not regret.

Available in Mint Green with maple fretboard or Shell Pink with laurel fretboard.

• Cutlass Short Scale featuring a 24" scale for easier playability due to the narrower spacing between the frets
• Shell Pink finish with Poplar body with Maple neck and Laurel fretboard
• Featuring an HS pickup configuration with 3-way switching, vintage style tremolo, and an oversized 4 + 2 headstock
• All Sterling by Music Man instruments receive final set-up and inspection in California

This DIY guitar kit has everything you need for building your own PB Style Mini Electric Bass Guitar. You will only need some basic tools and finishing supplies. This kit includes all parts and step-by-step instructions to build a complete, playable custom guitar. All challenging wood cutting, drilling and shaping has already been professionally done, as well as fret leveling and dressing.

This Short Scale Mini Bass features a smaller sized body than a traditional bass, see additional photos for body specifications.

The total length of the assembled bass is 40"
