Answer:	I can't remember if it came with an adapter for 3/8" --> 1/4", but I think it would probably be a bit heavy for the v-stand. I think I would go a level (in this Brand's range) lighter duty, unless you have some really rugged lightstands and the need to handle a beast of a load. Also: Does the quick release make sense for your use case?
