User questions & answers

Question: How wide is the neck of the guitar around the top 5 frets
Answer: About 2 inches.
Question: does the 1/2 size have a two tone top? The picture shows a slight line running down the middle that appears to be two tones/two pieces
Answer: Yes, the top is two pieces of laminated spruce. This is a standard practice for just about every guitar manufacturer.
Question: I'm a 4'10" adult with tiny baby hands. Looking for smaller guitar so certain chords are easier to play. Which size should I get
Answer: This probably won't do, as the fretboard is rather wide. A parlor guitar is more your fit. The Little Martin or be the Peavey Composer is small, but sound good. Check them out.
Question: Is there an option to have it strung for a left-handed child
Answer: You can always string a guitar backwards, but as a lefty who plays right-handed, I'd strongly urge having the child learn the normal way. So many times you wind up at a party where there's a guitar, and if you can't play it because you've learned a non-standard way, you've severely limited your opportunities. Besides, the left hand which does the fretting has an advantage for a lefty.

A unique mini 6-string nylon guitar that is sized like a baritone ukulele (17" scale) and plays like a standard tune guitar. The guitalele's tuning is pitched up to "A" (or up a 4th) at A/D/G/C/E/A. Tobacco Sunburst color.

  • Sized like a baritone ukulele (17" scale)
  • Plays like a standard tuned guitar
  • Great for Traveling!
  • Includes soft case gig bag

User questions & answers

Question: since it's tuned up 5 half steps from a regular guitar, does it need special strings to take the extra tension
Answer: No special strings are needed. 17 inch scale length makes the tension feel like regular tension strings on a nylon strung guitar.
Question: is the neck as wide as a martin, like a D-28 or fender strat or mostly for kids
Answer: Realize, this is Uk. Not guitar. Difference is it's somewhat tuned/stringed like guitar but in 5th frt position. Neck is narrow, as in Ukulele. Adults play ukulele too but don't expect to be like guitar, ie. Martin or Strat.
Question: can i use snigjat guitar stand(https://www.amazon.com/dp/b07wdpwczh/ref=sr_1_39?keywords=guitar+stand) with yamaha gl1 guitalele
Answer: I use this stand -Stagg SUVM-A100BK Foldable"A" Stand for Ukuleles, Mandolins and Violins, I have several other guitar stands. The Guitalele is (tenor)Ukulele size and I find guitar stands are too big-unless the guitalele is in it's case.
Question: child
Answer: Good for anyone. Child or adult.

  • Dreadnought Body
  • Spruce Top

User questions & answers

Question: How do you attach the guitar strap? There aren’t instructions for it and I don’t see attachments
Answer: There is a place on the bottom of the guitar to attach one end. The other end has a smaller string that can be attached to the strap using the little metal clip. I just used the smaller loop to make a loop around the end of the neck of the guitar (under the strings) and attached it that way. Most guitars have another button on the other side of the main body behind the neck, but this one does not.
Question: Do you have to put the strings on
Answer: No. The strings are already on.
Question: Please share the Return policy on this item
Answer: I don’t know. It came in perfect condition.
Question: Can this guitar be hooked up to an amp
Answer: Sorry, no this one can not. It's a beautiful sounding guitar, but no amp connection.

User questions & answers

Question: Is this an adult size guitar? is it light
Answer: The package says that it has a Yamaha PAC012, which I bought recently for my 10 year old daughter who is a new player. It is a full sized guitar, but not too big for a young player to start with. It is also not too heavy and its comfortable to hold. It has been a very good starter guitar for her. We bought only the guitar, not the package. Here is the guitar listing: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002GZWZ0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Question: Does the back of the guitar also have sunburst? Or is it flat black
Answer: The back also has sunburst. It's an exceptionally well-crafted, beautifully finished guitar.
Question: Can you use this guitar to play music like centuries from fall out boys all the way to more than a feeling from boston
Answer: It will do anything a Fender Stratocaster will do. More Than A Feeling used a heavily processed guitar sound, as I recall. I don't know if this type of guitar will nail that sound, but you can probably come close. The issue is going to be the effects you add. I don't know the Fall Out Boys music so I have no comment about that.
Question: Where do put the battery in the guitar
Answer: There's no battery.

User questions & answers

Question: The bag does not have backpack straps, padding, or a pocket? But it is marketed a deluxe gig bag
Answer: It's a decent bag with a handle and zipper . I wouldn't strap it to my back and go on a motorcycle ride . It's more for carrying to your car ,putting it in the trunk ,then taking it out of the trunk . I would check Guitar center or Musicians friend they would have something like you describe, probably for 100 bucks or 150 . With no guitar. Good luck .
Question: Does this guitar have nylon strings
Answer: No
Question: Is this solid wood or laminate
Answer: Yes it is solid wood and tunes beautifully. My grandsons music teacher tuned it and said he wished he had gotten a guitar like it when he was a child. He said that he only had to tune it once and it stayed in tune the three days he had it. Well worth buying.
Question: does the yamahafj jr 1 come left handed
Answer: Sorry Peggy, but this is a right-handed guitar. You may want to inquire of Yamaha whether they make a left-handed version, for I have known people who have ordered a custom guitar from them and they have accommodated them in the past. Things may have changed, but it never hurts to ask. Here's the Yamaha website: http://usa.yamaha.com/products/musical-instruments/Best of luck!
