Answer: The nut width is 5cm/1.97", and the width of the 12th fret is 5.8cm/2.3", it is slightly wider than 6 strings model but won't be too large to hold and the strings are at a comfortable distance for picking.
Question: What is the difference between this one and the $1000 one
Answer: Strings come in many gauges, Light gauge strings,1st E 009 to 011 are the easiest to finger but give the brightest sound, good for Bluegrass. Higher gauge strings mellower, good for rhythm playing. If you are starting out on guitar I would suggest a light gauge until you build build up blisters. Also if you are just learning the guitar, a six string would of been a better choice
Question: which is the difference between the gd30ce and gd51ce ? , which is better
Answer: It comes pre-packaged with a 9 volt battery. However, mine was wrapped in plastic. That plastic would need to be removed before the battery will make contact with the electronics. The battery operates the EQ and the pre-amp used to connect this guitar to an external amplifier for live performance. Or, to a soundboard. Neither are required if just playing around a camp fire or in your living room.

Answer: my guitar did not come with pickups so i ADDED them but you can use any pedal, a delay, and chorus sounds beautiful on a 12 string

    Answer: In my opinion it's extremely HIGH. It was so high that I took it to my guitar luthier who said " it's unplayable like that" He had to shave off a little of the bridge, adjust the Nut grooves and dress a couple of high frets at the 12th to get it in reasonable shape and for myself to be happy with it. The bass E is 2mm above the 12th fret now so within bounds. She plays and sounds okay but it's not my favourite guitar by a long chalk to be honest. Spends more time in its case!

    Answer: One of the best options is to use the buzz in your style. No doubt it’s not an all out buzz all of the time. So incorporate it as an emphasis at certain pints. Old phenomenal guitarists played what they had, got really good at it and used funky quirks on their guitar to add some flavor. The other option. Play each string at each fret, isolate the buzz and decide what the next option is. If the guitar has been climate controlled and is in a steady state, you may find sanding the buzzing fret down (just on the string that buzzes), with the fretboard well protected with a high grit paper, the right answer. This could also be the beginning of chasing the buzz down the neck to the next fret. It could be a nut or bridge adjustment that’s the answer. Truss rod is not where the adjustments usually start. My point, it comes down to a proficient luthier or someone who might be willing to take the time to get everything right. Cheap guitars can sometimes sound great after a $1000 in labor or equivalent time has been invested. Guitars aren’t a set it and forget it object. Nature works against them and time can be an enemy. If you’re really serious, you’ll take it somewhere regularly to have it tweaked to fight the elements working against it. Anyway, Americans spend $1,000s on frivolous hobbies. This is a pretty cheap one if you start with a decently constructed guitar and then just figure you’ll care for it over the years. Either learn to do the maintenance yourself or pay someone whose invested their time to learn it... or barter. One cool thing if you learn the craft, you can find old guitars and go through them, make the adjustments and get some very unique stuff that’s cool in its own way. Yamaha is a solid built instrument —from their drums to guitars to pianos. A buzz is definitely no reason to avoid the brand. Otherwise, every brand and nearly every model will be a problem at some time or other.

    Answer: I haven't found anything yet, and I've been looking. Some of the others left some negative comments. Maybe I just got lucky. Don't think so, though. Great guitar for the money. The only criticism, if you want to call it that, is that it doesn't come with the greatest strings in the world. I didn't expect that it would, though. Few guitars outside of the high dollar ones do; and they don't always. I bought a Taylor (6 string) a while back. The strings were fair, I guess. Elixirs make a big difference, though. Really anxious to re-string this 12 string with Elixirs. But, the stock strings are fine for now.

    Answer: This model, like a lot of cheaper acoustics, only has one. The easiest thing to do is tie the other end of the strap to the headstock, by the nut. Or you could have a second button installed at a guitar shop (or on your own if you're brave).

    Answer: There is a tuner. You just set it to the guitar and plink a string, then the tuner shows the tone. It’s very easy. I was a very beginner but could tune it immediately.

    Answer: Yes, it's going to be too big for most 8-year olds. I'd recommend that you go to a regular guitar store and try several out before making your decision, so you have some benchmarks to help you decide. There are 3/4 sized guitars which sound pretty decent for beginners, and also there are cutaways and double cutaways (Yamaha for example) with thinner bodies that make it easier for a child or small adult to learn. Also ask about the "scale" of the guitar. Regular scale is 25.5 inches, but slightly shorter guitars will be easier for children and small adults to play. I recommend that you buy a brand name, as well. If the guitar is well-made, the person is more likely to stay with it and end up learning to play the guitar.

    Question: How wide is the neck at the nut? I have short fingers and I need a narrow necked 12 string
    Answer: I don’t think you’ll have an issue with it. It is narrower than some others that i have. 12 string ovation round back, a Taylor and Yamaha. I enjoy playing the Gretsch as it has a good sound and easy to tune with the built in tuner. By the way I have short fingers as well.
    Question: Is it already tuned
    Answer: They are factory tuned, but in some circumstances changes and variations in weather can cause slight on tuning of the guitars. A simple nine dollar Korg tuner can help you to keep the item in tune.

    Answer: The overall length is 43". Lower bout 17", upper 12 1/2", Body length 21", body depth 4 3/4". A Jumbo case will fit. Roxy Music has jumbo guitar cases from $99.00

    Answer: Widest is 17 inches. Depth is 5 inches. Length is a whopping 43.5 inches. If your looking for a case, the (crazy expensive) case Gretsch sent me specifically for this guitar BARELY accommodated the length and width. It’s gonna be hard to find a case big enough.
