I think this is a Stereo mixer, I guess it will downgrade the 5.1 audio to Stereo and mix it with the Mic and send the audio out in Stereo format, either through HDMI or the Audio output. However, I cannot verify this as I do not have a 5.1 source, my karaone device comes with Stereo audio only.

Answer:	I have tried connecting this mixer to a HDMI Selector (4 In 1 Out) Input and the Output of the Selector to a Soundbar and it works well. I have not tried splitting the Output of this mixer to 2 destination devices, but I think it should work.

Answer:	This mixer with its quality mic preamps (real ones, with plenty of adjustable gain) , EQ, channel output volume, etc. is far superior to the iRig Pre. I tried the iRig Pre (and reviewed it) and didn't like it. To emulate the iRig Pre connections, get a TRRS (male) adapter you plug into your phone/tablet that breaks out separate speaker 1/8" TRS (female) and mic 1/8" TRS (female) connectors. You could use either the XLR or the 1/4" outputs of the mixer as input to the mic 1 /8" TRS connector on the adapter. Unlike the iRig Pre, with a mixer like this you have the option of listening to the realtime output of the mixer from its headphone jack or plug your headphones into the speaker 1/8" (female) connector on the adapter to hear it how the phone/ tablet is recording it (which can be time-delayed making it difficult to speak live while listening to non-realtime audio).

Answer:	Hi. Any of the onboard effects will work with the with Mic channels. One effect at a time, though.

This is used to record multiple sources at one time and make that into one Stereo/Mono audio output that can be used with a recording software, streaming software, or even a live speaker system. You can record the main output via computer, but even then, this will all be one audio stream, not one for each separate channel.

Question:	Can I use this to connect a bands instruments, bass, guitar, and vocals to the computer and record them all live at the same time
Answer:	Yes. Up to 4 instruments can be mixed into a stereo output that can go to stereo headphone and EITHER 2 speakers, a PC via a USB2 cable or to another device via Bluetooth wirelessly. There is a digital selector in top center. The USB2 can apparently also be used as input as there are playback control buttons as well. Have not tested. Note that the 2 odd looking inputs in the upper left corner are intended for mics and can take either XLR 1/4" phone plug connectors.

While I plug and unplug the cable, feedback will record, but no voice will travel from the mic through the mixer and into the PC.

Answer:	I forgot, but it's useless anyway. If you need help, use the email help route. I know, I prefer to just call someone up and talk though my pain as well, but with this company you need to use email and what no longer than 24 hours for their response. On the upside, they are very good at responding and will absolutely get you up and going. I tested the heck out of them and they exceeded my expectations. Tip, if you request help earlier in the customer service hours, they usually get back to you same day and back and further correspondence is good. The set up really is easy.

With optical input and output connectors on the SWM16-PRO mixer, it allows you to connect to almost any smart TV through a Toslink to Toslink optical cable. Simply plug the optical cable to the Optical port on your Smart TV and plug the other end of the optical cable to the Optical port on the SWM16-PRO mixer. The smart TV is required to have an Optical port.
