User questions & answers

Question: Is the headphone jack on this for monitoring your inputs, or does your PC audio come through it aswell
Answer: Hi, You can monitor your inputs and listen to playback from your computer simultaneously, which allows you to create overdubs with next to zero latency. You can either choose to monitor the inputs using the Direct Monitor switch, or you can use the Input Monitor feature in your DAW. If using the Direct Monitor feature the input signal will be passed directly to the line and headphone outputs, whereas if you use the Input Monitor feature in your DAW, you will be hearing the audio you're recording back from your DAW. In either case, you can still hear any other audio playing back from your DAW at the same time as recording. Best regards, Laurence Clarke // Focusrite Technical Support
Question: What type of usb cable does this come with? is it a type-c to type-c or a type-c to type-a
Answer: Hi, This comes with a type-c to type-a cable. If you have type-c ports, you will need to purchase a type-c to type-c USB cable separately. Best regards, Laurence Clarke // Focusrite Technical Support
Question: Does the XLR input only record audio to the left side
Answer: Hi, When recording a single microphone, you should ensure that you create a mono audio track in your DAW instead of a stereo audio track. When you record onto a mono audio track, the output from that track will be heard on both sides of your headphones or speakers (ensuring the output is set to stereo), however, if you record onto a stereo track, the audio will just be recorded onto the left side of a stereo file and you will ony hear it on the left of your headphones/speakers. This is explained in more detail here: https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/206849779?flash_digest=62885ef974b4eb116f3b3ea2c9b9c38ddb871473 Best regards, Laurence Clarke // Focusrite Technical Support

User questions & answers

Question: Is it possible to power car subwoofers with this amp
Answer: Yes it is. I have a 2.1 stereo in my house. I've been powering a JBL W12 GTi MKII with my xli 3500 for years. Of course the amp is in my house and not in a car.
Question: Is this amp capable of driving 4 ohms - bridged mono? The manual does not specify
Answer: No.ill get a class h power amplifier,1100 to 1200 watts a channel.that way you wont be no strain on the amp, wont have to run its full power,,risking of burning up your amp or speakers
Question: will these crown xli series amplifiers work well for home theater use or would the fan noise be to much
Answer: I am using it in a home theater application. There is no fan noise at all. The Crown XLI series amplifiers are a great choice when considering a pro amp for home theater use. After finally getting one I wouldn't even think of getting anything else.
Question: watt speakers at 8ohms each. They are 360 watt peak each. Is this amp enough for these speakers. amp to speaker then spkr to speaker on ea ch
Answer: The output of the XLI 800 @ 8 ohms is 200 W per channel x 2 channels=400W. In my opinion this model is not the proper size for 4 100 watt speakers. Upgrading to the 1500, would be a better match.

User questions & answers

Question: Q? about power cord: search " p006-008-13a " - will this (tripplite) 16awg 13a power cable be suited/work for *all* models on this page? thanks
Answer: should work ,have almost the exact plug cord
Question: How loud is the fan? I want to use this in a home theater to drive a pair of subwoofers
Answer: They tell me there is a cooling fan ... but I certainly can't hear it.The old heavy analog Crown amps definitely had loud fans but this one is very quiet.
Question: How many watts, and at how many Ohms
Answer: http://www.crownaudio.com/en/products/xls-25021200W @ 2 Ohm775W @ 4 Ohm440W @ 8 Ohm Dual2400W @ 4 Ohm Bridged1550W @ 8 Ohm BridgedPlease consider Affinitech Inc. if you decide to purchase.Thanks!
Question: Does the cooling fan run all the time or just when pushed hard
Answer: Kurtis is correct. You will never hear this fan run unless you mute everything, furnace turns off, you silence all clocks and don't have a mini fridge running. Without the blue lights, you only know it's on if the attached speakers play. Pushed it to near clipping just to see and not a peep from the fans.

Product features

Crown XLS1002

Crown's new XLS DriveCore 2 series of power amplifiers feature an upgraded look with a larger display. Like their predecessors, the new XLS amps are equipped with Crown's patented DriveCore technology. The XLS1002 can drive your speakers with 350 watts (at 4Ω bridged) of clean power with very low distortion.

DriveCore

This new amplifier technology seamlessly integrates the amplifier drive stage into the power output stage fusing everything into a chip the size of a dime. The foundational DriveCore circuitry is based on breakthroughs by Crown's own Gerald Stanley with five patents applying to the advanced feedback, modulation and output stage technologies. DriveCore's front-end drive circuits leverage the inherent efficiency of Class D output stages while also maintaining superb sonic characteristics. The end result is an ultra-efficient one-piece audio amplifier circuit that exhibits the exemplary audio quality of a highly evolved Class AB design.

Class-1

Class-I, also known as BCA (Balanced Current Amplifier) is Crown’s patented, cutting-edge technology that gets more power out of an amplifier with less waste than was ever before possible. Class-I technology offers several key advantages. It provides unprecedented efficiency, requiring less power from the AC supply than other designs and that can add up to significant cost savings over the life of the amplifier. Class-I handles reactive loudspeaker loads easily and gracefully, by reusing energy returned from the loudspeaker rather than dissipating it as heat or forcing the amp into premature current limiting.

User questions & answers

Question: Are there priority inputs? IE: Will a microphone input over-ride music from another connected input source
Answer: Your right a sizing chart is missing. I was already familiar with the Warner brand so I knew which size I needed. Seems to match in size the pack underwear like Hanes/fruit of the loom that I have bought in the past. For example that brand I am a 7 which I know to be a large which is what I bought for this brand as well and seems to fit well
Question: Any issues connecting a PC to this amp
Answer: The largest diameter circle is about 7.5in in it's natural state and stretches to about 10-10.5in.
Question: What is emc for microphone priority? i have an existing unit i am replacing and i don't know what an emc connection is. can you help
Answer: They are microwave and dishwasher safe. But can’t be used in the oven.
Question: do i need a receiver with this amplifier to listen to the radio
Answer: They do fit rectangular lids but not as easily as round ones

Product features

Commercial Audio 120W 5ch 100/70V Mixer Amp with Microphone Priority (NO LOGO)

A constant voltage speaker system differs from a traditional 8-ohm speaker system in that it uses a step-up transformer at the audio source to raise the voltage and lower the current on the transmission line. At the speaker end, a step-down transformer converts the signal back to a normal speaker level voltage. This reduces power loss during transmission, which allows for the use of longer speaker wire runs using smaller gauge wire.

Peavey IPR 2 2000 Ultralight Power Amplifier

  • 2- Channel independent fourth-order Linkwitz-Riley crossovers
  • DDT
  • Revolutionary IPR class D topology
  • Detented input controls
  • Speakon output connectors

User questions & answers

Question: Is the fan loud
Answer: Not bad at all. I would never use an amp like this in a studio setting, but for anything live, the fans have never been an issue for me.
Question: would this power 2 8 ohm monitors,4 8 ohm speakers and 2 peavey
Answer: The amp is stable to 2ohms per side or 4ohms total if bridged. If you're running 2x8ohm cabs on one channel for a total of 4ohms and 4x8ohm cabs on the other channel for 2ohms you should be good (with the caveat that cab ratings are nominal and therefore a 'moving target' depending on what you're feeding them). I don't know where the Peavey 2x215's fit in since you don't list their impedance ratings, but I'd suggest that they'd be too much for this setup anyway.
Question: I have the jbl jrx 225 pair and jrx 218s 18" passive subwoofer pair looking for an amp to drive these for a band
Answer: HI rico. You need 2 amp. Peavey IPR 3000.1 amp. For the 2 jrx 215 (mid/hi).1 amp. For the 2 jrx 218 (low).Good Luck.
Question: Is this amp brodge-mono capable
Answer: Yes it is.

IPR 2 Series

Light, Efficient, Intelligent.

Shaking up the pro audio industry with innovative power amplifier designs has become our stock in trade. More than 30 years ago, we were one of the first to break the dollar-per-watt barrier. Not long after that, we became one of the first manufacturer to mass-produce a class-D amplifier for use in live audio applications. We debuted our first switchmode power supply over a decade ago. Then in 2009 we launched the IPR series and once again Peavey revolutionized the power amp industry. Now we introduce the refinement of that amazing technology with improved performance and reliability, the Peavey IPR2 Series.

QSC

Product description

  • QSC Power amp
  • 500w amp
  • Signal to Noise (20 Hz - 20 kHz):100 dB

User questions & answers

Question: Its this model you are selling here 110v or 220v
Answer: It's a 110v not a 220v.
Question: Can I use it with only one speaker...Mono
Answer: The amplifier does NOT have a bridged mono mode, so it will not put 600 watts out a single channel into a single speaker. However, with its built-in 100hz crossover, it can split a single channel into two separate HI/LOW channels (20khz->100hz)/100hz->20hz). The split channels could then be used to power a bi-ampable (300W HI/300W LOW) speaker. (Please don't try this if you don't know what you are doing.)
Question: Which country is this made in
Answer: I am not going to pull it out of my rack, the box says it is made in China. I am using it to power my home stereo and it works.
Question: Is that 500 watts RMS
Answer: Hi...Not sure what you are looking for..RMS is a term used to describe an average power rating or average AC voltage that is usable..the peak to peak stuff is more a math number to me. I went to Google.com and downloaded the QSC GX5 500 watt power amp. manual, Which.. is something I would recomend for you to do as well..the GXS is rated @500 watts per channel driven into an 8-ohm load per channel..The book doesn't mention RMS or Peak to Peak power..but since RMS is your usable power..I'm assuming this will be an RMS value. In the QSC manual, there is a contact # to talk to the QSC people directly. If you are looking for a little more power out..try using 4 Ohm load speaker system. The Amp is designed to power into a 4 ohm load..I have used my GXS unit with a nice graphic equalizer in front, which bumps up the pre-amp some and the output is very nice..no heat issues or noise that I can detect.BUT..Download the manual read it over, talk to the QSC people directly..tell them what you are trying to do..but again..this is a flat response amplifier, and you will want some sort of graphic eq. device in front for the sound I think you are looking for..good Luck..Be wellMave

User questions & answers

Question: Are they over ear? comfortable? Are the insides of the cups circular or oval
Answer: It depends on what you mean by "the same." Yes, they are lithium AAA batteries and use the same charger as all Deleepow "purple" lithium AA's and AAA's. Like all other Deleepow lithium AAA's and AAA's that use a charger (not individual micro-USB charging ports) they do not have a built-in LED light to let you know if they are charging, charged, or not charging. These are rated for 50% more "juice" or mWh's. The purple AAA's were/are rated for only 800mWh = 533mAh (because they are a constant 1.5v and not 1.2v like NiMH rechargeable batteries. This is true for ALL lithium batteries rated in mWh's rather than mAh's.) These are rated for 1200mWh = 800mAh.
Question: Will these connect into a PC
Answer: yes, I did, I have used in my wireless mouse and wireless keybord for 2 weeks, it is still powerful.
Question: Can they be used for a computer gaming setup? With a microphone kit
Answer: I would say so. If you have a solar charger, then they can be easily recharged off the grid. I use them in my SPOT (emergency GPS locator) when in the great outdoors. They work perfectly. If I'm out for extended periods then I top them off from a 10,000 mAH battery pack that I keep charged with a small pack-able solar panel. They could, of course, be recharged directly from the solar panel too.
Question: How about the sound quality? Thanks
Answer: As equipped, 1 amp. But you can change it by changing out the Programming resistor. See the TP4056 datasheet for current vs resistor value.

User questions & answers

Question: Can i run music from my thumb drive
Answer: Hi, I'm Martin and I work for Pyleaudio. Yes, as long as the USB flashdrive does not exceed to 32 gb max memory and it is on FAT32 format. Also, please make sure to convert all of your music file to mp3 file format. If you have other questions, please let me know. You can reach me at [email protected]. Thank you for choosing Pyle.
Question: Does this work as an amplifier to power speakers
Answer: Hi, yes you may use this unit to power your speaker. You may check other details of the unit by visiting our website pyleaudio.com. Type the model number on the search box PMX840BT for more details. Thank you.
Question: Do you think this will be enough power for my two 15 inch speakers and my two 12 inch subs
Answer: The power is 800 watts peak. The problem is that when you hook up more then two speakers to the system, then you change the output of the unit. It is set up to run two 8 ohm speakers as is. You would need to go online and there are websites that can explain what to do to hook up 4 speakers and how to run them to make sure you are balanced and not over/under the system. You will need to know the ohms of the speakers and their watts to know for sure. If you do not then you run the risk of over peaking the system and burning it out or if not balanced you will burn out one channel. So in the end the power (Watts) is there, but have to be hooked up correctly. Here is a link that explain this http://cie-wc.edu/Series_Parallel_9_14.pdf Thanks Glenn
Question: Is there any way to reduce the fan volume? I use this in my small living room, for singers who want to be heard over a few acoustic guitars
Answer: An audible fan is usually normal in amplification equipment to compensate for the heat accumulated inside and prevent circuits from heating or burning up. But if the fan noise appears to be beyond normal, to the point that the unit may already be showing signs of defect, please get in touch with our support line during weekdays from 9am to 6pm EST at 718-535-1800 ext 2 . A one-year warranty covers repair and replacement whenever needed.
