3 best headphones for musics
Headphones for music, including DJ headphones, are essential tools for musicians, DJs, and music enthusiasts who require high-quality audio reproduction and precise sound monitoring. Here's what you should know about headphones for music:
DJ Headphones: DJ headphones are specially designed for professional DJs and music producers. They offer several key features:
Sound Isolation: DJ headphones typically have excellent sound isolation to block out ambient noise, allowing DJs to focus on the music they are mixing and beatmatching.
Rotating Ear Cups: Many DJ headphones have rotating ear cups that can swivel and pivot, making it easier for DJs to monitor one track in one ear while cueing the next track in the other ear.
Durability: DJ headphones are built to withstand the rigors of the DJ booth, with reinforced hinges, robust construction, and durable cables that can withstand frequent use.
Coiled Cables: Coiled cables are common in DJ headphones. They provide flexibility and prevent tangling while allowing DJs to move around without getting tripped up by excess cable.
Sound Quality: High-quality music headphones, including DJ headphones, prioritize accurate and clear sound reproduction. They should offer a balanced frequency response, allowing you to hear the full range of frequencies from deep bass to crisp highs.
Comfort: Comfort is crucial, especially during long DJ sets or extended listening sessions. DJ headphones often feature padded ear cushions and adjustable headbands for a snug yet comfortable fit.
Closed-Back vs. Open-Back: DJ headphones are typically closed-back to provide sound isolation and prevent sound leakage. Closed-back headphones keep the music in and external noise out, making them ideal for DJing in noisy environments.
Detachable Cables: Some DJ headphones come with detachable cables, which are useful for easy replacement or customization with different cable lengths or connectors.
Foldable and Portable: Many DJ headphones are designed to be foldable and portable, making them easy to carry to gigs or studio sessions. Some even come with protective carrying cases.
Sensitivity: Sensitivity is an important specification for DJ headphones. A higher sensitivity allows the headphones to produce louder sound levels without requiring additional amplification.
Impedance: Impedance is a measure of electrical resistance in headphones. DJ headphones typically have low to medium impedance levels, making them suitable for use with a wide range of audio equipment.
Price Range: DJ headphones come in various price ranges, from budget-friendly options suitable for beginners to high-end models used by professional DJs and producers. The price often reflects the build quality, sound quality, and additional features.
When choosing headphones for music, particularly for DJing or studio work, it's essential to consider your specific needs, budget, and preferences. DJ headphones are designed to provide accurate sound monitoring, durability, and comfort, making them a valuable tool for anyone involved in music production or DJ performances.

User questions & answers
Question: | Do these headphones come with a carrying case |
Answer: | No, they don't come, but I suggest to buy a case just in case. If you don't want to, buy it without a case, those are durable headphones, but you never know if you'll need the case to carry them in a bag, back pack, carry on. |
Question: | How does this compare to the ATH-M30? And how comfortable is it for extended hours of use |
Answer: | I can only respond to the 2nd part of your question as I have not tried the ATH-M30, but the ATH M20X was (for me) extremely uncomfortable even after using for only a short period of time. This was due to the, IMO, excessive heat build-up which literally caused pools of sweat to collect inside the earpieces. I returned the headset after a few days. |
Question: | are these good for big heads? i have trouble finding headphones that fit comfortably over my big head. also i wear glasses if that helps |
Answer: | They are pretty tight on the head, and they go over the ear, so if you're wearing glasses the soft part will push on your frames. I can't wear my glasses with them because I find it too uncomfortable. It might be better to look at on ear, rather than around ear headphones. That said, I've been able to loosen the headphones a lot by bending the the metal headband. If you're not afraid to do that with $50 then you might be able to get them to a comfortable "clamp" amount, haha. |
Question: | Are these noise-canceling enough to wear on a plane and not hear the plane noise |
Answer: | They do NOT have electronic noise canceling. They are over the ear. The cups absorb outside sound but not enough that would be considered "noise cancelling". They're mainly for DJ's, home, and professional studio producers who use them because electronic "Noise Cancelling" tech interferes with recordings. |
