User questions & answers

Question: Is this stand worth the money? seems like alot to spend on a stand. i am a huge falcon hardware fan but, this is pretty pricey
Answer: Absolutely. It's heavier than I'd like it to be but as far as being smooth, versatile and reliable I think for $200 it's more than a fair price to pay for such quality. To put it into perspective my first kit I bought in 2001 when I was 11 was a MAPEX, and I was still using the original hi-hat stand until I just bought the new Falcon MAPEX pedal. It literally lasted 14 years so again YES I think this purchase is worth the money.
Question: Are the feet situated in a fixed position, or can they be rotated for use with a double bass slave pedal
Answer: The legs are movable and can be rotated. The legs can also be removed to be more suitable for double bass.
Question: How high will this stand go? I'm pretty tall and play with my hi-hats higher than most. I'm looking for a hi-hat stand that will go up to at least
Answer: Yes... I measured it and it will go to 40" but that's the highest it will go. It does have a long (and short) upper rod... Maybe Gibralter makes a top post that is longer. I love how this hi hat pedal plays! It's ultra smooth and can take a pounding. I would definitely recommend it. Good luck!

User questions & answers

Question: Hello, can someone tell me the minimum height of the cymbals
Answer: This is a really difficult question to answer as there is really no right answer. The extension tube can be lowered to the minimum position but you can then play around with the legs to lower the stand even more. If you lower it too much, as for a very small person/child, you will probably have to cut the sliding rod as it will be protruding too much. This would apply to any hi-hat stand. Hope this helps you.
Question: Does the pedal swivel
Answer: The legs swivel

User questions & answers

Question: I have had these for a couple of years and they have never felt comfortable. Any suggestions on getting the right tension and feel
Answer: The one I have was not set up properly by the factory. I can only guess that yours was not as well. I had to remove the ends of the shaft where the springs attach and realign the splines to allow more hammer throw. When I first set it up it didnt feel powerful at all. After some tinkering I was able to get it to pound.
Question: Can you turn the pedal into a direct drive
Answer: I don’t think there’s a way to convert the chain drive to a direct drive. I do have to say that the pedal is extremely intuitive, it just takes a little bit of time to dial it in.
Question: I have the dw 2000 series and really dont like it. i am a death metal drummer and i need to upgrade my double pedal. is this one will do the job vs
Answer: It's a very good pedal for the price. With that being said it may not be up to your standards with the abuse you will be putting it thru. As far as the dw I've never owned one. For the double bass I put it thru not bad at all. But of your double pedaling thru your set list. Prolly not.
Question: Where do the 20g weights go on these pedals
Answer: There is an interchangeable weight inside both beaters. They come with 10 oz., but with an Allen wrench, you can take them out and replace with the 20 oz. if wanted

User questions & answers

Question: Is it good for handpan
Answer: This stand accommodates a handpan perfectly. I bought it for the sole purpose of supporting my Halo and was concerned that a drum stand might damage it. I was immediately impressed by this stand’s sturdiness and thick rubber “grips.” My Halo remains undamaged and securely supported when resting in this stand.
Question: Will this hold a 14" x 8" snare drum? just bought my son a tama woodworks blackedout black snare drum as "one" of his christmas presents
Answer: Absolutely it will fit. I have the same size snare on this stand
Question: How big of a drum can this stand hold? 12" to 14" in diameter
Answer: I use several 14" snares and it would definitely work for a 13" I will have to check a 12" as I only have toms that size. Without trying a tom I believe it would as it has a ton of adjustments. Great hardware best snare stand I've ever owned.
Question: How tall does it go
Answer: How tall do you need it to be? It goes pretty high.
